Closest review i found was for a 2200mAh model:

I've used similar ext. batteries (Energi brand), they only charged my old Samsung Captivate to 78% during a flight.
So... I only use them as emergency.

I would only need it for a quick topup.
The discussion page on teambuy says it has a 1A output so that would help.
I will be going on a weeklong event with long days and just dont wanna run out of juice before the day is over.
My N4 with minco and franco does stand insane battery life though so I wouldn't worry but would juts like to know the reliability of the product, being aware that they rarely respect their mah rating.

Why not an unu charger. They make the iPhone battery extenders that I see a lot of people use.

what is the size of the 1200mah one? the $12 deal is for the 2200mah, do you have a link to where you can get the 1200mah version?

1200mah is really small... Nowadays most people go for around 10000+ mah.

Oh wow crazy typo. I meant 2600 as per the teambuy link!

1200 would be nice if it was the size of a USB drive. It's not always practical to carry around a 10000mah charger.

Portable Charger

I was able to find a JWIN portable charger that uses 4AA or 4AAA rechargeable batteries and charges the Nexus at AC voltage. It also recharges the batteries three ways; USB, DC and AC. The best part was the price $15.99 locally, was wondering if anyone found something similar locally if so lets share pix.

lol, I take back my statement, it's a great portable charger. Plus it's at an reasonable price also. Thanks for sharing that with us. I'm going search some locally also
It takes ANY rechargable batteries its a charger as well as a recharger. Sorry if the 1st post wasnt clear. Currently i have 4 2650 mAh AA batteries in it i have charged my PsP off it and now its charging my Nexus

if it took recharge battery such as lithium batteries, it be a great portable charger, but regular battery it's too much hassle.

That's pretty cool, but how much does it really charge?
On 4 full batteries, how much % does your phone charge?

I just charged a PSP and my Nexus to 100% off my 4 2650mAh AA's, but that is because of the batteries I used. The mAh of the AA's or AAA's is what really matters. Using 4 1500mAh AA's earlier today I got one full recharge with some juice to spare, with my 2650 mAh im still currently testing with just my Nexus.... should be 2 full charges. I will confirm the #of charges in the next 48hours, or less if I can drain my batteries faster lol

Battery Pack with Micro-USB in

Hi,
I'm after an external battery pack, preferably with quite high capacity, that has a micro-usb port to charge the pack. I've seen like mini-USB one's and the DC in but I need a micro-usb one to make things easy for me
Have you come across one like this?
Cheers
check my instagram post. 2nd from the latest. can't get the short URL since I'm on my phone right now. instagram: ijustzeke

I have this as my backup

It's more than enough.

Don't know if you can charge it via microusb though, not released yet.
I've had good luck with Anker's internal batteries in the past (HTC Sensation) so I'd trust their battery packs. Not sure off the top of my head if any of them charge via microusb.
http://dx.com/p/cager-b030-10000mah...er-w-adapters-sd-slot-2-led-light-grey-167568
The cager ones look to have a microusb port, although I can't vouch for the quality of the batteries. Considering the N4 can support usb-otg with a custom kernel and external power, the cager may be a nice touch if you are looking for external storage via sd card.
the anker astro3 (10,000mAh/ 3A) charges with a micro-sd cable -- there's a short curly one supplied (+ alternative tips) which you can then reverse to charge the N4 from the Anker.

i got mine for £25.99 shipped from amazon uk and i'm very satisfied with it. it's about 20% larger and heavier than the N4.

Battery charges in 90 minutes, is this sign of a bad battery?

Can see the title - I can charge my phone from 4% to full in rougly 90-100 mins using stock charger. This seems significantly faster than reported by other review sites, does this mean my battery is not fully utilizing all its cells?

Mine did the same thing....
Mine charges super fast too, but I still get great life out of it. 5-6 hour screen time, all day and into the next.
This phone gets better battery life than any other I have ever owned. The fast charging is a great bonus.

It could also have something to do the the 1150mA charger. That's more current than most phone chargers.

Is this a complaint thread because the phone charges too fast?!

On a related note, this thing either charges faster on a car charger or is just much more efficient than the Galaxy Nexus. My Galaxy Nexus's battery would actually drain when using GPS in the car while plugged into my Kinivo BTC450, especially while also playing music. My Moto X actually charges reasonably quickly while using GPS and playing music. There's definitely no need for some high voltage car charger.

Swollen battery

My phones battery decided to increase in size for the last two days and now i have replaced it. Does anyone know why this happens and what I can do in the future to avoid it?

Ya my note 3 did the same thing, i thought it was tye battery caz of the 8 dollar price. That is the conclusion i came up with too the phone was never really hot and 2 of those batteries swelled up making them unusable. I did upgrade the battery didnt have any more swell. I would like to know how that does happen though, i thought i was the onlu person that ran into this im glad read this post and hopefully can get an answer as im very curious if it was the type of battery or if was kernel. I cant remember the kernel i had but thought might be from putting too much speed in my rom.

Yeah. I want to know this too. These days i have been swapping between stock and cm 12.1 and on stock the battery amp ranges from 1200mah to 1800mah but on cm12.1 it always stayed at 1800mah and also phone got hot. It may be due to that or it may be because discharged this battery once to zero and then recharged it to 100 and then jump charged a couple of times. A lot of factors and this one was abused a lot so I can't put my finger on exactly what I did that caused this.

X Play Battery problems? Should I be worried?

I just got my phone and the battery life looks like s***

Note: I haven't charged to a 100% yet. Just got the phone and it had 25%~ battery off the box
So what is the problem?
If you check the screenshots uploaded by other people about their battery life, you'll see that mine is WAY lower.

I'll test it out for a day or two. If the battery remains like this, I'll ask for a replacement.
This thread is so foolish. You got a phone with 25% battery, have probably been playing around with it, syncing everything, having the phone settle in, haven't fully charged it, and you're complaining about battery?
Do you also give 1 star reviews in the play store because an app that clearly says needs root, won't work on your non rooted phone? EVERY phone has to settle in. No phone is going to give you 5 hours screen on time with 25% battery from a fresh out of the box setup. Your expectations are way too high lol.
Give it time before you complain man, come on.
Hey, everyone
I am sorry, I haven't bought a new phone in 4 years. I had forgotten about how to bench phones. I wasn't complaining, I just wanted to know if I should be worried.
Just give it a day or two. It'll come around
