Portable Charger - Nexus One General

I was able to find a JWIN portable charger that uses 4AA or 4AAA rechargeable batteries and charges the Nexus at AC voltage. It also recharges the batteries three ways; USB, DC and AC. The best part was the price $15.99 locally, was wondering if anyone found something similar locally if so lets share pix.

It takes ANY rechargable batteries its a charger as well as a recharger. Sorry if the 1st post wasnt clear. Currently i have 4 2650 mAh AA batteries in it i have charged my PsP off it and now its charging my Nexus

That's pretty cool, but how much does it really charge?
On 4 full batteries, how much % does your phone charge?

I just charged a PSP and my Nexus to 100% off my 4 2650mAh AA's, but that is because of the batteries I used. The mAh of the AA's or AAA's is what really matters. Using 4 1500mAh AA's earlier today I got one full recharge with some juice to spare, with my 2650 mAh im still currently testing with just my Nexus.... should be 2 full charges. I will confirm the #of charges in the next 48hours, or less if I can drain my batteries faster lol

I tried one. It will work to charge the phone if it's turned off. It doesn't keep up when the phone is in use. In my case, using the GPS.
I'm still looking for an external battery like this that will extend the run time while I'm out hiking.
I didnt know you had to turn it off for this one.
I guess I should go with 2nd battery and cradle. Whats worth it 1350mah OEM vs 1600mah aftermarket? hmm.
Actually I have one that my wife bought me for Christmas, I use it on my HTC Tytn aka Hermes. I love it. I can plop in a set of freshly charged Energizer Nimh 2500mah batteries into it plug it into the phone and it it charges while I use it, no problems at all. It can take my extended life 3000mAh Hermes battery and take it from 20% up to about 80% charge in about an hour. Works great for me, as I have a car charger to go along with the Energizer AA batteries which charges 4 of them to full capacity in about 15mins. (granted they are scorching hot when they come out of the charger)
I will be posting a more in depth review of the Energi To Go charger in the Hermes section later tonight.
As for me I am a really happy customer.
nothing can beat this product. the advantage it has over all others is that you can recharge the unit with a wall outlet. no cords needed. i use it for my phone and my archos player. no one really talks about it so i guess i got lucky finding it.

I use the energizer to go. Not on a regular basis, but I keep it with me at all times. I use the 2500 rechargeables charged and when you need that extra power, you got it. I also have the seidio 1600 battery, but guess where that is? Always at home in a drawer. Energizer is really I think the best way to go. But since I flashed Duttys 6.1, I don't use it that much. The battery life in that rom is INCREDIBLE!! I run Blackberry connect 24/7, leave the house at 4am, back home on the charger about 9-10pm, still have over 50%, with moderate use during the day. So between Energizer 2 go, and Dutty, I'm gone

Thanks mate!
Circuit City had these units on sale for $4.17 until yesterday.
Looks like their supply is now exhausted.
I used Motorola P790. It is rechargeable and can have 30% recovery each 1and half hour.

Closest review i found was for a 2200mAh model:
I've used similar ext. batteries (Energi brand), they only charged my old Samsung Captivate to 78% during a flight.
So... I only use them as emergency.
I would only need it for a quick topup.
The discussion page on teambuy says it has a 1A output so that would help.
I will be going on a weeklong event with long days and just dont wanna run out of juice before the day is over.
My N4 with minco and franco does stand insane battery life though so I wouldn't worry but would juts like to know the reliability of the product, being aware that they rarely respect their mah rating.
Why not an unu charger. They make the iPhone battery extenders that I see a lot of people use.

what is the size of the 1200mah one? the $12 deal is for the 2200mah, do you have a link to where you can get the 1200mah version?
1200mah is really small... Nowadays most people go for around 10000+ mah.
Oh wow crazy typo. I meant 2600 as per the teambuy link!

1200 would be nice if it was the size of a USB drive. It's not always practical to carry around a 10000mah charger.

Nexus 10 charging Time

Nexus 10 is a great tab but some people tell it take long time to charging
How much time to charge With Magnetic pogo charge and usb
Some people tell me 0 _ 100 7 to 8 hours full charge
It is true or not
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
with a slow USB charger 6hrs + is quite possible but get the Pogo connector on the original charger and it can be pretty quick considering the size of the battery. the graph is on charge with the Pogo, I rarely charge on USB since getting that.

I can't comment on the exact time it takes to charge with the stock charger, however when I plug mine in at night it is always 100% in the morning. I don't have a pogo charger. I've never not been able to make it through a day on a single charge.

Here are my results. On the stock charger for every 10% of discharge it takes 39 minutes. So if you were to start charging from 10% at 39 minutes per 10% it would take you 351 minutes or 5.85 hours. And that is leaving screen to auto brightness. If brightness is at any different setting it will, and I mean it will take much longer. Even when its in sleep.
I love the tablet. Have had many brands. And have had a lot of Samsung devices also. But seems to me the bigger Samsung makes there products. The worse the battery life gets. That includes SGS3 and 4. "Google. Glad to see you open up to other manufacturers. Samsung just can't cut it anymore".

Battery charges in 90 minutes, is this sign of a bad battery?

Can see the title - I can charge my phone from 4% to full in rougly 90-100 mins using stock charger. This seems significantly faster than reported by other review sites, does this mean my battery is not fully utilizing all its cells?

Mine did the same thing....
Mine charges super fast too, but I still get great life out of it. 5-6 hour screen time, all day and into the next.
This phone gets better battery life than any other I have ever owned. The fast charging is a great bonus.

It could also have something to do the the 1150mA charger. That's more current than most phone chargers.

On a related note, this thing either charges faster on a car charger or is just much more efficient than the Galaxy Nexus. My Galaxy Nexus's battery would actually drain when using GPS in the car while plugged into my Kinivo BTC450, especially while also playing music. My Moto X actually charges reasonably quickly while using GPS and playing music. There's definitely no need for some high voltage car charger.

Now i know why Sony doesn't supply Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 charger as standard..

After reading all about battery (and experience it myself), Quick Charge 2.0 still deteriorates your battery because of the resultant heat. Lithium battery will deteriorate because of heat primarily. The faster you charge, the warmer it gets. it's simple. So no wonder Qualcomm have said that the QC 3.0 is 38% more efficient, because with it, they can monitor the voltage change more gradually. Qnovo on X Performance should be more or less the same (if not better) to QC 3.0.
So my words on this matter are: Be grateful to charge with old standard charger you've been supplied by Sony. It should keep your phone battery last longer and definitely will retain the re-selling price better. Yes it might take your time, but your life is not only inside your phone

It averages around 2 and a half hour from zero for full charge with standard charger. With an adaptive charger of Samsung Note4 though, it charges my z5p for exactly 2 hours. It might be faster with true QC 2.0 ones but if i charge it while I'm working/sleeping, the hour/half won't be noticeable.
I got the uch10 with my x performance and with airplane mode in I can get a full charge in about 1 hour 40 min
Sent from my F8131 using Tapatalk
i got the uch10 charger and can go from 1% to 80% in about 15-20 mins, that's what came with the phone when i got it and they were nice enough to include a free adapter for american plugs.
I just wish Sony gave better headphones then the crap I got total garbage
Sent from my F8131 using Tapatalk
Yes the international charger that came with the phone charges is VERY fast. I was impressed and thought it must be fake. But it isnt..
I am buying a QUalcomm Charger 3.0 to see if that charger will do the same as the factory charger. I need a charger for USA that fits my wall outlets. This adapter thing kinda sucks.
But, my Hong Kong Xperia X Performance was given with UCH10, which is a QC 2.0 charger LOL
This thread is BS... Using a QC2.0 charger from Aukey since day one... No issues whatsoever...
Regards.

yeah quick charge don't deteriorated the battery.. this dude is smoking some bad gonja
I just got one and the battery temperature doesn't seem to differ from the regular non-quickcharge adaptor that came with the phone.
Even the one I received yesterday has a QC2.0 charger. Version F8131. Very nice phone!
