I now have both a Galaxy Note and a Note 10.1, hence I also have two editions of S-Note and it would be convenient to have the notes synced between devices, but the sync function appears to be more of a backup feature than a true sync feature.

Use dropsync in conjunction with dropbox. Create a folder in dropbox, then two-way sync the sNote folders on both devices to that one dropbox folder. Make sure that your note folders and notes don't have conflicting names. Now your notes will open up on either device. Just be sure to sync after making changes, or turn on auto sync.

Ahhh, guess I have to wait for JB on my Note then, still running ICS on that one.

Yes. The JB upgrade syncs snote with GN10.1 and ky GN2. Used to use dropsync.

Thanks for the tips boys - This has solved my problems shifting files around trying to get them into snote. JUst wished it would appear straight into snote without having to do an import. But hey - Im a happy girl now thank you

Hi,
I've currently got an Iphone 3G and am sick of the whole Iphone 4 mess so I'm considering getting a Galaxy S.
I'm not familiar with Android so I'm finding out what apps I have on the Iphone I can get on Android.
One question is can I sync the Galaxy Calendar via 3G/WiFi with my Google calendar?
So far it's looking good for the Galaxy!
Cheers.

It sync perfectly with google services. Google calendar is not an exception
Put it this way, every time you add an item in your Galaxy Calendar it automatically gets stamped into your Google Calendar.
I have two calendars and when I add an item it asks which one I want to save it to.
DOH! of course it's a Google phone, I was thinking android and forgetting Google, Sorry Google!
Yep it syncs perfectly with Google contacts, calendar, and contacts. And if you use Spanning Sync your calendar and contacts will sync automatically with iCal and Address book on your map.

On the SGS I've got my calendar open and showing the "Week" listing, but I can't see my appointments, nor the happenings for the day. It's all blank, except for a single listing on saturday.
The previous week is showing elements, but none of the appointments that go across the days, nor is it showing events, except when I'm showing "Day".
This really frustrates me, as I've got a disability that makes it hard for me to manage time without a proper visualization. A feature I actually had in my windows mobile phone
Is this a known bug, if it is one?
I was thinking how great it would be to have home and work logins for different gmail accounts, apps, voice, etc. Even others such as one for my daughter, wife, guests? Does this exist and did I miss it in my search results?
Thanks in advance! Don't be too harsh if its a boneheaded question.
It don't exist but I agree it would be awesome.
Maybe someday... Google wink*wink*

yeah it would be a nice feature but adds a lot of complexity to the OS and also to App purchases.
I know right now LG and VMware are working on a project together where you can basically run a virtual machine on your android device. I think this is due out later this year as they had a demo in December. So, once it is available for the LG, I am sure some smart people will port it over.

I don't see why, except to the os. But it would still be the same UDID so the apps would stay on the phone.
It would just basically make different folders that would save the shorcuts for the homesceeen and allow you to save specific files and settings for different accounts.
Think of windows.
User settings
C\Users
And apps and drm protection settings
C:\Program Files
Apps would be fine, but it would take up space. I don't exactly know the specifics of designing it into an os.

Honeycomb does support multiple logins for apps like gmail, calendar, and contacts. My wife and I currently have both our google accounts on the Xoom and it works great. There is just a drop down up in the top right corner where you can select between the account. Hope this helps.

i"d love this, as my wife could have a diff set of shortcuts on her homescreen, Smartkeyboard as her default input device, and the locale set to Japan.
Anyone who pulled this off would get a purchase from me hands down.
I wish there is the same for Facebook app

well it looks like interest is there. I too was thinking along the widows users folders. Ive always maintained a device between work and homed on my laptops. Different wallpaper, bookmarks, personal email seperate from business. So my daughter can plant pokemon bookmarks and youtube links on the home account. Or not email someone on my business emai account.
Yeah, I'm currently trying to navigate a screen for my work, a screen for my girlfriend, and the rest just w/e. I hate the one all the way to the right as my work. Luckily my work uses an @att e-mail address, and i use firefox only for work which helps me keep my bookmarks seperate.
It would be awesome to have specific files for different users, but for now, this will have to work.
Please star this for me.

I put it up a few days ago. Stars == attention
multi profiles would be a good start?
Something like firefox profiles where one could login an sync to their gmail account bookmarks, etc. Could be a start from the last post? Now if only I were talented enough to code! I'm glad to see I'm not all nuts with the idea.
found iOS has a hacked feature like this

My work place uses exchange and K-9 does not work with it since WebDav does not work with newer exchange versions.
The default email app on Nexus works but it very basic - no threaded emails - a big thing for me.
Galaxy S3 has a decent email app (one with a white envelope and red @ symbol) which supports threaded/conversation email.
Is there any way I can install (or replace the default client with) the email client that runs on S3 on the N4?
Waiting
Some people will do
I also want to know, thank you
Google: Samsung Galaxy S3 System Dump
Or just go here: Galaxy S III System Dump..
It has the System Dump; but also provides smaller file containing just the apps.
Also some instructions to get the app installed on the N4 (Not saying they will work)

Samsung apps will not work on AOSP (other than some hacked files found for AOSP/CM10) as they are tied to TouchWiz interface (which obviously the Nexus 4 doesn't use).
The default email app though does need some work for sure.

Guess you missed the part in my post that said "Not saying they will work"
I was providing the S3 Email app download...
And yes the Email app used for non Gmail accounts surely does need some work.. like Zoom, and AutoFit.
Not sure why Google updated the Gmail app, but not the other Email app.
Thanks.. So looks like it's not possible to get the Samsung email app to work on nexus 4

Just started using Google Drive. You can turn on sync under your Google account, but what is it syncing? Is there a folder somewhere called My Drive? There seems to be from the app, but can't find it in my file manager.
I can sync on my PC, and I have copies on my PC. Does the same happen on my n7? I know Dropbox wouldn't do that, you always had to download the files.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
I use the Google drive app and it allows access to anything from my PC synced. The only way I've found to add to GD from my nexus is to use a file manager that allows GD access. I personally use es file explorer
Sent from my Nexus 7(2012) that has zero issues.
What I thought. I use Solid Explorer, easy access, but no real way to sync to same folders on the N7. Although with SE you can have your right panel GD and your left panel Internal folders, making it easy to move files. I'm just not use to "the cloud" yet.
It just syncs with the cloud where all you files are and if you add a new file via GDrive in PC it wont appear here until you sync.

OK, I do know how it works, I was just wondering if it was one step better than Dropbox, allowing automatic syncing to same folders on the N7. On a PC the folders sync from cloud to PC (like attached), so any editing on PC doesn't require the extra download step.
But all I see on the N7 are the cloud folders. Is there a way to sync them to the same folders on the N7? And if it does have copies of the same folders on the N7, where are they? Just seems logical to me that since there's a "sync" option in the Google account, that's what would be syncing. Or is it just like DB? (just upload syncing)
I think it's just upload syncing, unfortunately.

I used note 8.0 and has lots of notes and i synced with google docs, note 3 doesnt have google docs, cant sync with my note 3...
try foldersync
I use:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dk.tacit.android.foldersync.lite
to sync with my home server via sftp but it also supports Google Drive I believe. Great program. I paid for it.
