Just started using Google Drive. You can turn on sync under your Google account, but what is it syncing? Is there a folder somewhere called My Drive? There seems to be from the app, but can't find it in my file manager.
I can sync on my PC, and I have copies on my PC. Does the same happen on my n7? I know Dropbox wouldn't do that, you always had to download the files.

I use the Google drive app and it allows access to anything from my PC synced. The only way I've found to add to GD from my nexus is to use a file manager that allows GD access. I personally use es file explorer

What I thought. I use Solid Explorer, easy access, but no real way to sync to same folders on the N7. Although with SE you can have your right panel GD and your left panel Internal folders, making it easy to move files. I'm just not use to "the cloud" yet.
It just syncs with the cloud where all you files are and if you add a new file via GDrive in PC it wont appear here until you sync.

OK, I do know how it works, I was just wondering if it was one step better than Dropbox, allowing automatic syncing to same folders on the N7. On a PC the folders sync from cloud to PC (like attached), so any editing on PC doesn't require the extra download step.
But all I see on the N7 are the cloud folders. Is there a way to sync them to the same folders on the N7? And if it does have copies of the same folders on the N7, where are they? Just seems logical to me that since there's a "sync" option in the Google account, that's what would be syncing. Or is it just like DB? (just upload syncing)
I think it's just upload syncing, unfortunately.

I saw a few posts on Phandroid and other websites about certain phones like the Evo 4g on CM7 that had installed the music.apk file from honeycomb and enabled Google Music Sync. Is there anything anyone here can do to enable this in ours? I'm willing to help and not just sit around twiddling my thumbs. I'm a noob but I do have the Android SDK running as well as eclipse set up and I have a Windows 7, OSX and Ubuntu so let me know.

It an older beta version that only syncs what's on the phone already to the cloud. No one to my knowledge has found a way to sync from a PC to the cloud yet, and that's where most people store their entire music collection.
If you want to easily stream your music collection on your PC, then try audiogalaxy.

So we can't access the music from the cloud with our xoom?
Sent from my Xoom using XDA App
That music app will sync but it is only seems to work on froyo & gingerbread versions of android. I have synced my music then removed my music folder from my sd card and I am still able to stream all of my music from the cloud.
So far, no one has been able to get honeycomb to do this. The .apk will install but, our version of the Android OS will not sync to the cloud. You will notice that in the accounts sync, there is no music sync option in your google account.
I'm sure this will be addressed eventually. After a few days of syncing, I would love to be able to steam my cloud music from any computer or device.
That's what I thought I synced everything with my evo then deleted my music and was able to play all my music and since the app was pulled from honeycomb I thought I was going to be able to access it on my xoom.....which would be insane!

Is there an iOS like "PhotoStream" manner of getting pictures onto N7?
Picasa?
I know one can plug into USB, just look for a more streamlined method.
Thanks for any input!
It's called Google+
Sign in the G+ go to settings and it's called "Instant Upload"
any picture you take, it'll auto upload to G+ (in essence it's Picasa also)
BTW, Google had Instant Upload before the "PhotoStream"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6y_xKVSRAy8
And FYI, any photo/video that is automatically Instantly Uploaded are marked as Private, so on you can see them, then you can choose to Share them to your Circles.
You can use drive, box, photobucket and dropbox as cloud storage to sync files between devices.
Currently using drop box but I've found I can't choose to sync individual folders such as camera uploads from my phone...that way I don't have all my drop box files filling up my N7. Anyone have a suggestion?
Was wandering if theres an app for transferring files between my N7 and Note2? Most file transfer apps ive seen seem to sync between a device and pc.
Any ideas?

Dunn question...don't both have nfc? Transfer via ?

How about Dropbox? It'll sync files with their server and all devices that are connected on that account.
I use Wifi Explorer Pro. They also have a free version. It transfers files over wifi connection, so can only be used when you are connected to wifi. The description may say it will transfer files to your PC, which is accurate, but will also transfer files between any 2 devices with a web browser.
I like to use dropbox. It's not automated but I can access it from any device anywhere I want it. I don't do mass transfers but if you have things here and there, it's good for that.

its simple.. i dont want to cancel my sync with cloud.. i want:
-> photos stored on my SGS4+ other items on phone will be automatically uploaded
-> NOTHING on dropbox will be downloaded to my phone
Straight to the point as the title suggests, I'd like to attach certain folders form my internal storage to copy into my external SD card or even sync with my Dropbox account, how can I go about doing this? Also if I do get the Dropbox syncing, would it also work if I deleted a file from my folder on my phone and it would remove it form the Dropbox folder?

Try this app, it provides a 2 way sync with drop box, you can select which folders on your phone you want to sync.
