Which android version you mean?
you can try some roms and find which one fits best for you...
its like a shirt, fits on me but you might not like it...
I use dzo's aurora and i'm pretty satisfied, you can also try mlora, these two are ICS or you can go to gingerbread with oxygen of cyanogenmod. you can also check miui...
before you do anything do backups!!!

Okay so i've been thinking about changing ROMs for a while. I'm still on MDJ CM7 2.6 LOL! I haven't wanted to change because the ROM just works for me. So i'm wondering what ROM any of you guys would recommend that is similar to this ROM in both form and function (i.e. bare android+CM7)
Thank you!

I installed this one, and it has been pretty good and stable:

I have heard a few people recommending the Typhoon CM7 ROM, too.

I used to love pongster's ROMs back in the SD days. but i tried that ROM and it wasn't doin it for me. I want something with no launcher just the reg gingerbread one. I love the vertical battery icon. Just as stock as possible. With CM7
I used typhoons CM7 for a while but I think there are to many updates. Every single day an update is to much in my opinion.
I like pongsters roms too . They are really speedy
you could try ndt ginger but i think that it has built in adw launcher.
Thanks for your help guys. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to tytung's NexusHD2-Gingerbread. Seems like the perfect upgrade for me.
I actually ended up switching to MIUI. it's awesome and i'm not looking back.
What is the best gingerbread 2.3.5 rom?

No need to make threads like these. Download and try them yourself
The best i can say is that NAND builds are faster than SD builds. There are so many 2.3.5 builds ut there. You just need to narrow them down based on your preferences, like Sense2.3,sense3.5,CM7,MIUI,CLK,MAGLDr,etc...just try them out and see.Dont be scared. As long uve gt HSPL and MAGLDR,u are safe.

A "best" rom doesn't exist, and neither should this thread. "best" topic are ridiculous because everything is down to personal preference and its subjective, what is "best" for us may not be "best" for you. What works best of is most stable for us may not be for you etc.
Stop been so bloody lazy and go try some and find out which you like best. Most of the fun is trying out new things and learning, Not just jumping in and flashing what somebody else is flashing.
Hey.
Wich is the best rom ? Best and stable? Im going to install rom for a friend and then i need to know witch is the very best

Cyanogenmod .32 kernel by ezet

I wouldn't bet on the stability of Aurora ICS, at least in it's current state.
It's more up to date, yes, I agree with that but the deal is that you have to decide between the stability and feature set.

CM 7.2 by ezet for sure. Eliterom x1 .32 kernel is a close second for me. Annoying that doesn't have market built in though. Easy to fix, but annoying.
Hi!
I use aurora ICS 4.0.3 version 2.4 by DZO as my everyday rom, is very stable, and is updated very frequently, it was some minor bugs, but IMHO it works better than any official rom.
Regards!
Best rom? Look at my sig!
ics4.0 dzo
aurora ICS 4.0.3 with kernel 3.08
Have flashed aurora ics rom but the phone will not charge and lights at the botom ( home, back. Menu..,,) dont light up,, any fix?

For me, the best and most stable is CM7 .32 kernel from ezet!

I really liked the official gingerbread updates. If your friend wants Ice Cream Sandwich then your best bet is Aurora rom maintained by dzo.

I use ICS now. But VPN does not working. I am onlyone who needs VPN?
SIP VoIP (I need it) is very problematic in Aurora. Integrated VoIP in ICS does not work. CSipSimple and Siproid does not work. All registers. All make/receive calls. But voice is not transfered. After few seconds CSipSimple transfer huge amount of data via WiFI (and voice not transfered)
Only Linphone Video works. But sound quality is very bad. I test Aurora 1.12a, 2.02, 2.04. Always make full wipe (factory reset, dalvik cache, ...).
I use Linphone Video now but the quality is terrible.
Skype works in Aurora perfectly but I need SIP.
All tested SIP programs works in official ROM but not in Aurora. I am the only one who needs make VoIP (SIP) over WiFi? Aurora is very good ROM. Thanks DZO. But official rom seems better if you need SIP calls.
I have tried to install Gingerbread Rom with no luck. Aurora doesn't work as it should since I didn't have gingerbread. So I think I'd just go for another customrom on that U8800. Any tips for a stable Rom that works without Gingerbread needed?

Reflash stock b136 rom first, then flash miui and You'll be okay This is absolutely the best .32 based Gingerbread rom I've tried to this phone. Even wifitether is working.
God Luck
This question is meaningless.... everyone has their own favorite ROM
You have to test few, and choose one that is best for you

I get your point, but why reinvent the wheel? A lot of roms are very unstable and keeps locking up. That's why I am asking what roms are stable,no hard feelings....

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any good stable Android 4 NAND ROMs out there for the HD2? I'm looking at starting fresh, formatting everything etc.
Thansk much.
Any of them really, just make sure it's been updated fairly recently (as long as it's newer than around October it should be OK).
Looking for ICS , so there is no better rom then NexusHD2 ICS 4.0.4 by tytung. It is the best ICS rom u can get.
Try it,you wont be disappointed.:good:

That's entirely a matter of opinion, you cannot possibly say that NexusHD2 is outright the best ROM out there.

yes i run with nexus HD2...and i haven't problem in this rom, it really good!
use the search function next time
everyones opinion on what is the best rom is going to be different
you have to flash and use them to see what is best for you
I used NexusHD2 ICS 4.0.4 by tytung for a long time. its really a good rom, quite stable. But I switched to kovjanos''s PA-HD2 v2.54-2.9 recently with dataonext and odex. It has the best ui so far I have ever seen. And %10 better performance according to antutu benchmark

No problem with your opinion, but you cannot present it as fact like that.
As I have said before.. coming to XDA and asking which is a good Rom is like entering a bar full of drunks and asking whats a good drink here !!

hi have one new phone htc glacier;mytouch 4g and i need to install custom rom in that phone anyone know which one is best rom for htc mytouch 4g?
People ask this all the time like we have an answer. This phone has loads of ROMs, no one can pick what will be best for you. All JB ROMs have small bugs so if you need 100% stable go back to GB.

lmfao.
anyways, if you want a really stable rom thats newer(ish) try Synthetic.Nightmare's AOSPx. Its really good. Othrwise, just listen to dragonswithin and go back to a GB rom. Like CyanogenMod 7
I vote for Dark Unicorn Ressurected v2.5, best ICS rom for mytouch4g. Very stable, very smooth, lots of options and everything works.
Dark JellyBellyG1.1 has random reboots and all other jb roms have some issues.
