No need to make threads like these. Download and try them yourself

The best i can say is that NAND builds are faster than SD builds. There are so many 2.3.5 builds ut there. You just need to narrow them down based on your preferences, like Sense2.3,sense3.5,CM7,MIUI,CLK,MAGLDr,etc...just try them out and see.Dont be scared. As long uve gt HSPL and MAGLDR,u are safe.

A "best" rom doesn't exist, and neither should this thread. "best" topic are ridiculous because everything is down to personal preference and its subjective, what is "best" for us may not be "best" for you. What works best of is most stable for us may not be for you etc.
Stop been so bloody lazy and go try some and find out which you like best. Most of the fun is trying out new things and learning, Not just jumping in and flashing what somebody else is flashing.

most stable rom out? + other..

So I'm finally a proud owner of an HD2 (again..) Anyway... The rom I bought the phone with isn't the most stable from what I can tell, "BOYPPC_SENSE 3.0 STOCK V7 0.5 OCTOBER". Or at least it's just not fit to my standards..So I'd like to know whats the best ROM to use, for every day use? I was thinking of CM7, since I've always loved the quality ROMs produced by them, but I'm just not sure..
ALSO...Before I brick my HD2 (again), can someone give me the STEP BY STEP instructions on how to install whatever ROM through my SD card? I do NOT want to ruin a phone again so I'm taking major precautions.. Please just dont link me to a thread and say "here".. I just want some instructions from a fellow XDA and HD2 owner as myself.. Thanks guys..Rep to whoever helps me out with this
do you have mgldr or clk in your phone?

PM'ing you now.
Pretty much all aosp gingerbread ROM's without sense are stable and fast. They can be used as daily builds with almost all features working flawlessly. CM7 builds give much more customization and options, but often are not as stable. For the best battery life I would suggest a gingerbread build with noting on it (no CM7 or sense)

You, sir, are an idiot. The title of your thread itself points out that there are already thousands of these threads asking for the best ROM, yet you decide against all common sense to create a new thread? Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.
I recommend either American Android or tytung GB rom for sd
I think magldr is good depends what u have on nand

always one arsehole.
and to walidhazem, thanks. the amount of roms available is shocking. and none of the other 'which rom' are about stock roms. going to be keeping winmo 6.5 as my nand rom.
This is a lot like asking whats your favorite food, your bound to get many different answers because what i/we like on our ROMs you may not. Every person has their own likes and dislikes about the ROMs they choose so without trying a few your only going by what someone else likes and not really what you may find that you like.
You could check out this site. It lists about every ROM (android) for our hd2 and gives some basic info you can use to help narrow down your search. I sometimes look at the developers signature or others i find give a lot of benifit to the site because i feel they would have a better knowledge on whats a good, stable ROM. Hope you find this helpful.

[Q] Need help deciding on ROM

I need help deciding which ROM to do with. Looking for a ROM with little to no bugs. I like the way Ice Creamed looks. but i notice that they are all in there Beta phases. If anyone knows a ICS with little bugs i'd like to try it, or a Gingerbread that they'd recommend would be great.
I don't know what to look for when choosing a ROM, as of right now I am just looking for looks, if there is things i should look out for i'd like to know
Also when i install a ROM do i need to install a new or specific Radio or Kernel?
Thank you in advance
Sense or Stock AOSP?
If you like Sense, check virtuous affinity or Android Revolution HD.
If you prefer AOSP, go for CyanogenMod 7.2. It's not a real "stable" build yet but it should be ok.
My best advice : get Titanium backup and try a couple :-D

Miui can be customized to look however you want with the built in theme browser, downloader, and installer and it is extremely stable.
Can't go wrong there.
There are quite a few threads out there discussing this very issue. Please use the search button.

What he said. All Roms on XDA are beta as they are hacked versions of official roms so no one will be able to tell you how each one will react on your device. I would just follow the way of XDA. Try it and see if it works. If not then try to figure out why or move to another.

[Q] Fastest/most stable/best Sense 2.x ROM?

Okay, so after having tried out pretty much everything on my HD2, I've concluded:
You can't do much in WP7 besides the built-in functionality, and there are no apps for it
ICS isn't fast/stable enough yet due to lack of proper hardware acceleration
Sense 3.x is the same as ICS
I might upgrade to the Sensation
Meanwhile, I want to use something that's stable and fast, and based on Sense 2.x with Android 2.3. What do people think are my best options?
Thanks

+1 to this ..
And before somebody flames us, we are not lazy (right, ellisbodds? ) but we want those who tried lots of ROMs (sense 2 with gingerbread). We seek their advice.
Thank you.

Exactly, I've tried out loads of ROMs myself, just not many Sense 2 ROMs. So if someone posted asking what the best Sense 3.5 ROM might be, I would answer them.
with 2.3.3 use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1197751 but dont upgrade to mark 0.2.0.. for photos u have to edit up buildprop and the device name..also flash the fix from the first post.. i will try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1581249... if u wanna use android 2.2.2 with sense 2.0 try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1321039&highlight=sense+2+clk, and go to the ultimate post, take a look in my post when i say how to change kernel.. with hieros kernel this rom is uber fast and i have 5-7 mah with gsm, or 3-5 with 3g..

Thanks, I'll give the EVO 4G port a try first and report back
I think the fastest/most stable, are the AOSP roms. Like cyanogen, nightlies, those are amazing. And they have a lovely small system partition size allowing for more user data.

[Q] Looking for a good ICS NAND rom

Hey guys, just wondering if there is any good stable Android 4 NAND ROMs out there for the HD2? I'm looking at starting fresh, formatting everything etc.
Thansk much.
Any of them really, just make sure it's been updated fairly recently (as long as it's newer than around October it should be OK).
Looking for ICS , so there is no better rom then NexusHD2 ICS 4.0.4 by tytung. It is the best ICS rom u can get.
Try it,you wont be disappointed.:good:

That's entirely a matter of opinion, you cannot possibly say that NexusHD2 is outright the best ROM out there.

yes i run with nexus HD2...and i haven't problem in this rom, it really good!
use the search function next time
everyones opinion on what is the best rom is going to be different
you have to flash and use them to see what is best for you
I used NexusHD2 ICS 4.0.4 by tytung for a long time. its really a good rom, quite stable. But I switched to kovjanos''s PA-HD2 v2.54-2.9 recently with dataonext and odex. It has the best ui so far I have ever seen. And %10 better performance according to antutu benchmark

No problem with your opinion, but you cannot present it as fact like that.
As I have said before.. coming to XDA and asking which is a good Rom is like entering a bar full of drunks and asking whats a good drink here !!
