[Q] Blade hangs on boot, but can get CWM - Blade General

Ive got a fairly new (old stock!) Blade that I have flashed using Swedish Snow RLS7 which has been working fine...no problems.
This week I turned the phone on and it gets as far as the Android boot screen (green robot, but NOT as far as the boot animation) and then reboots.
I *can* get in to Clockwork and have tried wiping all settings and reflashing the ROM. These processes all complete successfully, but the phone still does the same reboot cycle.
Any ideas what the problem might be here?
thanks
mike

Have you tried reflashing the recovery?
Here's latest cwm flashable zip : http://www.mediafire.com/?v3w87u6ua1cyui8

Thanks for the reply. I reflashed to the latest recovery and tried a different ROM. Unfortunately I get the same problem.....green Android boot logo which appears for about 20s, distortion/flickering at the end of this period and then a reboot. Recovery works fine.
I'm wondering if this is somehow graphics related......

I don't really think that it's graphic-related. I've had very similiar problem with my Blade, fixed it with this.

Well, just now had to wipe data/factory reset, so have to reload all APPS. At least I got it back to working state ! So, what do I do now that I have CWM universal boot loader installed? When I hit power button to turn on, it takes me into recovery. Shouldn't it just boot up into cm7 ??

You need to take the CWM card out or it will always boot to recovery.

[Q] [Fixed] struggling flashing Eclipse v1.1

okay guys so i recently destroyed my headphone jack and received a new XT907 via mail today. immediately i obtained root access (verified with root checker) and installed safestrap 3.12 succussfully. installed recovery, partitioned 1 gb for data and created rom slot one successfully. wiped cache/dalvik and installed the eclipse rom successfully. rebooted and now i bootlooped on the eclipse boot animation. so i thought no problem ill just reboot and wipe system and try again. so i did so and again, wiped cache/dalvik and re-installed Eclipse on rom slot 1. finally i get past the eclipse boot animation and got to the screen where it says "android is upgrading" and lists the apps '"/128 yeah i think there was 128 of them but anyways so it successfully upgrading them and now i am on the screen displaying "Android is upgrading" "starting apps." with the little loading wheel next to starting apps. i am currently stuck on this screen. Its been over 7 full minutes since i was typing this out and waiting for something to happen. i wiped everything and tried one more time and once again i am stuck at this part... any suggestions on why this might be occurring? I had absolutely no problem installing eclipse on my old phone and i am doing nothing different what-so-ever... i could really use your assistance guys! thanks

Does it do the same thing with a ROM like BDH?
Re: [Q] struggling flashing Eclipse v1.1
Yes I literally just tried bdh to check. I am using safe strap v3.11 (TWRP v2.2.2.1) just want to confirm I'm okay with that right? I am all out of ideas.

Where did you get the safestrap from? The RAZR Forum? or here?
http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/t...ery-v31-0104-312-stock-flashing-all-versions/
Because the one from xda RAZR forum is not the most recent for the RAZR M...
The RAZR M is 3.12 not 3.11...
This link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1391900) is not correct.

I'll literally go through step by step what I did in a nutshell. I know I mentioned most above but I really wanna solve this. Got the phone. Got root, installed safe strap with the link I just posted. Installed recovery. Put eclipse and bdh on root SD.partitioned 1gb. Wiped data/cache and wiped dalvik. Navigated to eclipse. Installed successfully. Wiped cache/dalvik once again (wiped data too after many tries) rebooted phone. I immediately bootloop on the eclipse animation. I hold volume down + power to power off. I go back to safe strap and wipe dalvik/cache once more. It then s
Gets passed the boot loop but then I'm stuck on "starting apps" as mentioned above... wtf is going on!! Lol

make sure that the only custom recovery you have installed is safestrap 3.12, people have been having trouble installing ROMs because they have more then one recovery installed..
if it helps, delete slot 1 and start fresh again.
if that doesn't work.. launch the safestrap application and uninstall recovery (make sure you've deleted slot 1 first)
and then uninstall the app, and then you can install safestrap again... open the app install recovery and now you can try installing Eclipse again. hope it helps.

I'm downloading the file as is onto my computer. I'm not touching it/extracting anything. I then put it on the root of SD card like your supposed to and flashing from there.

Yeah well I put the zip file from my computer into the phone's internal storage, I went into safestrap recovery wiped all data.. flashed Rom and it worked fine
choosing the external storage option did not work.
so yeah make sure that you put it in the internal storage and then choose the internal storage option.

[Q] Need some help with boot loop on ColdFusionX

Well, i've flashed my Blade with ColdFusionX ROM and everything seems to be great.
Then i decided to restart it and it stays on boot loop. It can be solved by entering on recovery and wiping the Dalvik Cache, but i want to know if there is another way to solve it? It's kinda annoying making it everytime i need to restart or shutdown.
Another question is for a good app to make USB Thetering, since the one on this ROM works but drains battery faster then USB provides.
Thanks and sorry about the bad english.
link to ROM's page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429539
Update:
Now things are worst then ever. I've updated ROM Manager to last version and then i can't enter on recover anymore and cellphone can't start.
Is there any way to flash the recovery from outside the phone?
Method 2.

Do you have Blade drivers for Windows 8, that drivers are for 7 and they aren't working.
Tryed method 2 but it didn't work, adb can't see my device connected. Now i'm trying method 3.
How can I know what TPT should i use?
Sorry for being so noob.
If you got your phone with 2.1 it is gen1, if 2.2 it is gen2.
Therefore, use gen2.

It is with 4.0.4 gen2, but i don't know if i have to use chinese or european TPT.
It was manufactured in china, so I use the Chinese TPT, right? Seems obvious but i'm kinda scared.
Update: Problem Solved!
I turned it in recovery mode, and it got stuck as was happening before. So I left it a while and when i plugged him on the computer, adb recognized it and I could use the fastboot of method 2.
But i still got the problem with the Boot-looping on ColdFusionX that I said on first post. Is there a way to fix this? (It can be fixed wiping the Dalvik Cache every boot, but it is annoying)
Flash another rom.

[Q] Please help, stuck in Clockwork Recoverymod boot

The other day I recieved a notification on my phone that there was a new update available for my LG Optimus L5's SW, and after my phone downloaded the update package it rebooted and went directly to Clockworkmod Recovery instead of installing the update. Now I can't seem to boot the phone normally as it will boot directly to CWM. I have searched in similar threads, I have tried reflashing a rom into it, putting it on download mode (not emergency because it didn't seem to work), wiping cache, fixing permissions, and still there is no luck. Is there any way to fix this problem? By the way I'm using an e610, my android version was 4.1.2 and the ROM I used to root the phone was 20d, with CWM 6.0.2.8.

[Q] i9505 - Problem with Recovery

Hi guys,
I've tried to install CM10.2 using Philz Recovery. No radio, long boot time, etc. So I decided to go back to my previous backup. I've tried to reboot in recovery using combo key and nothing work. Reboot loop. Vibration, Samsung boot, recovery in upper left corner, black screen and vibration again.
I've managed to get in recovery mode using power button menu in CM and I restored my backup. So I've installed cwm. Nothing change. Cannot get in recovery using combo key. Only through power button menu.
How can I fix? I've already tried to reflash this using Odin, reflash cwm via recovery. I'm not very worried about this because now I've a fully working cm10.2. But it's a little bit furstrating...
Thanks for your help
I had a similar issue with no recovery access. Just hung at small blue type in top right corner. I ended up reflashing stock rom via odin and started again . All sorted now.
