Well, just now had to wipe data/factory reset, so have to reload all APPS. At least I got it back to working state ! So, what do I do now that I have CWM universal boot loader installed? When I hit power button to turn on, it takes me into recovery. Shouldn't it just boot up into cm7 ??

You need to take the CWM card out or it will always boot to recovery.

Help PLEASE

hi, i was running simply galaxy, and decided to try flashing MIUI. I have all the files and I flashed the CM7 Kernel. Im not sure if its just the way its supposed to be and its taking long, but when i reboot my phone after flashing the kernel, it appears to be stuck at the clockwork mod boot logo. is it just taking long or am i in trouble?
If i am in trouble, please, tell me how i can fix it.
I can get into recovery,
I can NOT GET into download mode
so its stuck at the vibrant splash screen or does it go to the boot animation?
I think its soft bricked. Its stuck at the clockword mod logo screen that comes with the kernel.
OK UPDATE
. I can NOT GET into download mode. please, i need help

I can get into recovery though.
Can you flash or select options?

Yea, i can actually mount USB storage.if i found a stable ROM, flash, then factory reset, this could possibly work, right?
by the way, recommend any daily, stable ROMs?
Okay you are at the orange recovery right?
If so then no the only rom you can flash is miui or cm7 okay
Go to mounts and storages then format system .data .and cache then flash miui the. Factory reset and reboot
.

flash the miui ROM or the vibrant-efs backup?
getting into download should work if you can get into recovery. take everything out, the battery, sd card, and sim. now put the battery back in then press down vol up and down while doing that plug in your usb cable.

I tried that before, it didnt work. I just dont know what Alanrocks15 told me to flash- the rom or the vibrantefs backup. i need the OK to flash either one becasue im very afraid i might brick this.
Ok so at this point you can only get into recovery but not download mode, what have you tried to get into download mode? If nothing is working your only option is going to be to make or buy a usb jig which can be had for 8-15 dollars.
as to flashing you would have to flash the miui ROM from recovery, tho if you have a bad download you will just end up in the same if not worse place. (MIUI or CM7 is a bad idea for your first flash ever).
additionally i suggest reading the noob guide on rescuing your vibrick:

[Q] new to the forums

hey guys, Im new to the forums. I have an HTC Desire HD on Telus, joined to ask some genreal questions about rooting, Cyanogen Mod 7, etc.
Anyway, I recently got Cyanogenmod on my phone, and installed the Telus kernel thing at the end (following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954997). Anyway, the guide wasnt perfect here:
"2- Copy Telus Kernel.zip to your SD card from the "Step 2 - Telus Kernel" folder.
3- Run Kernel Update Utility (in the "Step 3 - Kernel Update Utility" folder) and click "Select a cwm zip", then click next, then click Go to fastboot, wait for the white bootloader screen on your phone, then click Flash. Once it's done, it'll reboot back into Android."
I wasn't sure what to select as a cwm.zip...so I chose the telus kernel zip in the "Step 2 - Telus Kernel" Folder. everything went fine until boot up. It just hung at the HTC turn on screen...and I couldnt even get into reboot recovery. Sent it in and now I have a new one...Still want CyanogenMod. Just dont wanna screw it up a second time. Thanks for any help
~Stu
What you should of done is hold vol- and power button and that would of took you to recovery.
Anyways, from personal experience i've flashed different kernel to try out a number of times, my advice is to copy the kernel into your sd card and boot into recovery and flash the kernel as you would flash a rom..

hey, ya I tried the down volume plus power, it did nothing. anyway, maybe Ill try it that way. boot into recovery and flash it from there. The Telus kernel is so that I can hear out of the earspeaker correct?
That's right.. Boot into recovery and flash the kernel. The utility is just an automation of that process as far as I understand.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
So why did my phone brick then? And can you tell me the process once in reboot recovery? Like what I should do before actually installing it? Such as wipe the cache, etc.

Technically if you phone booted into the boot screen , it wasn't bricked. whatever that was flashed caused a boot loop.
1. Hold Vol- and power button, wait for it to boot and release the keys.
2. select the option install zip from sdcard
3. Find the kernal and select it.
4. Once flashed select reboot system now.
All done
So that is for the ear speaker then?

Absolutely not
What's it for then? Why would I have to put it on after I get cyanogen mod? When I had it on my last phone (before it got fixed) just the phone feature didn't work...texting worked though...i don't understand what it is meant for...i know it's a total noob question, but I have to ask lol

From your initial post
I wasn't sure what to select as a cwm.zip...so I chose the telus kernel zip

you flashed a kernel to your recovery partition, which will have at least stopped it rebooting into recovery, what you should have done is returned to fastboot and flashed clockwork recovery and all would have been working.
Oh...so I should just do the whole thing from sd on the card in reboot recovery?

[Q] Blade hangs on boot, but can get CWM

Ive got a fairly new (old stock!) Blade that I have flashed using Swedish Snow RLS7 which has been working fine...no problems.
This week I turned the phone on and it gets as far as the Android boot screen (green robot, but NOT as far as the boot animation) and then reboots.
I *can* get in to Clockwork and have tried wiping all settings and reflashing the ROM. These processes all complete successfully, but the phone still does the same reboot cycle.
Any ideas what the problem might be here?
thanks
mike
Have you tried reflashing the recovery?
Here's latest cwm flashable zip : http://www.mediafire.com/?v3w87u6ua1cyui8

Thanks for the reply. I reflashed to the latest recovery and tried a different ROM. Unfortunately I get the same problem.....green Android boot logo which appears for about 20s, distortion/flickering at the end of this period and then a reboot. Recovery works fine.
I'm wondering if this is somehow graphics related......
I don't really think that it's graphic-related. I've had very similiar problem with my Blade, fixed it with this.

TWRP and I forgot that I shouldn't let it "fix" broken root.
I just used the basic guide on how to flash a factory image of 4.3 in smaller pieces with fastboot, skipping userdata (so I could keep mine), and then sideloaded the two KRT OTA followed by flashing SuperSU 1.75. I did all that in one go, on my second Nexus 7, before booting it the first time.

1st Make sure you are on the latest twrp. 2nd it would be easier just to flash a stock ROM in recovery instead of flashing the factory images.. Is there a particular need for using the factory images or do u just want a working ROM?
