I tryed to connect my samsung omnia 7 to zune but zune doesn't reconigze my phone it says the phone it's not connected , any ideea please or another program to sync my phone , thanks!
I habe the same problem since yesterday, but I have a HTC Titan.
I connect my phone, Zune starts automatically, then Zune says there's a connectionerror.
my zune doesn't say nothing only " the phone is not connected " had anyone an ideea? please

hi just a suggestion have you made sure your usb video out is off
this fixed a similar prob for me
Open the phone dialer and tap: dial ##634# and press call;
Once you are in diagnosis mode, dial: *#7284# and see if Zune Sync is the selected option. If not, select it and then reboot your phone.

Windows (XP & 7 X86) does not recognize my HTC P3600 (Bootloader and WM5Storage too), I do not know what's going on, after connect to pc - the battery charging (orange light), through bluetooth connect normally to ActiveSync, WMDC.

i haven't got any htc/ppc device in my devices list... :/
in my Vista it's "mobile devices"->"Pocket_PC"
try this:
1. go to "Windows Mobile Device Center"
2. click "Connection settings"
3. put a tick on "Allow USB connections" if it's not
It also did not help, I do not know what's going on - it can hardware? But it's charging battery... :/

1. You must remove every partnerships with all the mobile devices.
2. Completely uninstall Windows Mobile Device Center.
3. Reboot W7.
4. Install the most recent version from Microsoft download site.
5. Reboot W7 (Not necessary but preferable).
6. Connect Mobile Device and wait for it to setup completely.
That should solve.

The Mobile Centre did not install very well, but, just one hour after I asked you (and a boot because of a Windows update), the phone was recognized and everything synced fine.

Everthing is going good till the sync.The arrows are turning but nothing happens after that.

hello guys, i downloaded the WMDC today n i plugged in my hd2 on my laptop (vista) and WMDC doesn't recognize my device it says it is "not connected" and i saw a video on youtube how to flash your hd2 and that guy plugged in his hd2 and WMDC recognized it and it doesnt work for me.. any suggestions? i need help please.

Did you maybe install some / delete some folders from your phone that may have been created during pairing phone and computer? That gave me problems back in day with my MDA... Tmob HD2 works fine for me now...

Hey not sure if you ever fixed it, but here's what I did. Worked on both my Touch Pro2 and my HD2...
Disconnect your phone and go to settings>menu>all settings>Connections>USB to PC
And then under where it says ActiveSync you will see a check box that says "Enable faster data synchronization". Uncheck that box and try to connect again.
If that box is already unchecked, then idk, but that box is usually checked when you first get the phone.
Every time I sync my Focus to Zune player I get the following message, "Connection error, Cannot connect to phone, disconnect it, restart it and try again"
I have tried that and it did not solve the issue. I have reinstall Zune and no good. I have logged into my Zune account on both my player and phone and issue is still unresolved. Anyone have any ideas?
Could you post the error code you're getting? That would make troubleshooting much easier. It should be something similar to C00D124D.

I was having the same problem and found out it was something I did !! I had set the phone to Tether with USB cable through the Diagnostic codes thus deselecting Sync to Zune. Once I put that back my phone instantly was recognized and Synced via USB and now I have it set for WIFI snycing.
Go in and check the USB connections with the DIag codes.
1) On the Focus go to the keypad and dial ##634# and hit the call button.
2) From here the phone will go into a gray screen with a timer and the diagnostic keypad will come up.
(It should look like a keypad with the words Diagnosis at the top)
3) In the Diagnosis mode dial *#7284# which will bring up the USB Path Control settings. (Zune Sync,
Modem Tethered Call, and Modem USB Diag)
4)Make sure Zune Sync is checked

As I can't access the phone, I can't change reg either.
btw charging doesnt work?
Open up device manager and check if you have an unknown device, if you do just right click and update drive, and select auto install.
I had the same problem as you and after doing as explaind all works, zune finds the phone and all is well.

I'm a Newbie here. Please help me seniors. I hava a T-Mobile MDA Vario II. Recently its display crashed. And all I get is a White frozen QVGA Screen. . Now the hardware is not my problem. The device worked well even the Touchscreen worked well. I started using the mobile as an INTERNET MODEM with PDANet v2.00. And I will operate the device with MyMobiler v1.25. When I connect my mobile, My Vista will show it as HTC USB SYNC connected. everythng went fine. But recently, Due to a fatal power cut the System and mobile Both Restarted automatically. Whats happening now is,
1. Windows shows the device as Pocket PC instead of HTC USB SYNC.
2. MyMobiler shows Nothing but a Balloon saying "Running on your mobile"
3. PDANet says " Connection failed. Error 8036".
And when I reconnect, the mobile was recognised as Unknown device.
I tried reinstalling windows too. But no use. It still shows up Pocket PC and not HTC USB SYNC. Also, when I try to make a call to the SIM Card inserted, it says the number is switched off. This means that the SIM is disabled. Please help me what Can I do to get my device back. Thanx in advance. pls mail me.
