Hi!
I dropped my defy in 2 cm of water, everything was fine for 20 min, suddently my screen stop responding, i removed the battery, place it back turn on the sceen got quite dark. Yet I was still able to see things on screen. Then it slowly got darker and darker until it was completely black. After that I tried to push the power button but the screen didn't light up, only the 4 buttons were lit.
I noticed I was still able to unlock the screen or answer phonecalls sliding my finger from left to right on the correct area of the screen, although it remainded black all the time.
What can i do? do i have to replace the lcd?
Thanks
I am having a problem with my Galaxy SI-9000 screen. It suddenly goes black and have to pull the battery to get back the screen. However when the screen is black the phone is still working because if I give a call the phone rings but the screen is black and can't see any thing? This started happening from yesterday, since then it has happened twice what may be the problem?
I am testing an application I have written(for battery use) and it is accessing the GPS and the MIC every one min.. can this have any relation with the sudden screen black outs?
So yeah I dropped my phone on its side, while the screen didn't crack at all and nothing happened at the time of the drop, after I woke up the next day my phone had this yellowish small circle on the left then this circle started growing to cover most of the screen and then it started to go brown then black and now the whole screen is black, the touch and the led lights are working, I know I should take it to a specialist or something but for the time being is there anything I can do or check to make it work again by myself ? thanks.
Nothing you can do .
hi . i have v20 h990ds .
when i turned the second screen Off when main screen is On , in setting , the phone didn't show any thing (that is normal) but if i go to completely in dark room i can see that pixels of second screen electrically are On (black backlight can be seen without displaying anything). while i expect that when i set the (second screen being off when main screen is on) the power of second screen getting to off and don't use any battery .
when i press power button to turning off main screen , the second screen goes off at the same time as the main screen , completely.
can anybody tell me that is it occurs for you , please? is it normal when you turn second screen off the power of it (that can be realized in dark room) don't turned off?
That is completely normal. The second screen and main screen share the same backlight even when turned off you will still see some light bleed through the black pixels. They dont have separate backlights so it is still on behind the screen.
Hi! Well as many people don't know but Lg v20's main screen and the second screen are the same panel having a Cut around the left corner which make it feels like that Both displays are separate and also they make some kernel tweaks to make them virtually separate. So even you turn off the secondary display its backlight will still Remain on.
Thanks
galaxy s8 started to give a white screen with green dots. unresponsive when screen on. at first it was fixed by turning screen off and on again. but now it only gives that white screen with green dots or original screen with a fade white on top [this also faded away till white and green dot screen comes within few seconds]. in voice commands can turn on bluetooth. phone s functins are working fine. when call comes i can answer and talk by guessed touching the answer button. fingerprint unlock wont work. so i cannot access the phone by computer. by connecting to smart watch most functions can be done. but screen is not coming back to normal/ work. please help
