I recently bought one from www.android-enjoyed.com and they shipped from hongkong to me. It's perfect and in a sealed box. Also available at www.gsmnation.com. Price is the factor which vendor to go with. Check if at&t support the LTE bandwidth (800, 1800, 2600). Good luck.

unless you're going to be staying a lot in Europe, the N7105 isn't going to be a particularly better phone for you with its Euro/ETSI bands for LTE. The Note2 is multiband GSM and 3G (UMTS) anyway.
And LTE isn't fully deployed across Europe either, so by the time it is, the Note3 will be here, so I would say buy a cheaper Note2-7100 and save your money!

Or buy an US variant and flash a custom ROM on it.

Just as Victorator mentioned, just get the AT&T Note 2 and flash international firmware onto it. The N7105's LTE hardware is not compatible with domestic North American LTE service, so it won't work. Fortunately, the AT&T/Rogers i317(m) Note 2's are virtually identical to the N7105 from a hardware standpoint, with the exceptions of differing LTE radios and lack of FM radio in the case of the North American Note 2's. That's why it's so easy to flash the international firmware onto them.

Niether of those are selling cheap N7105 compared to
www.negrielectronics.com
Who are also more suitably based for the OP in the US.
The 7105 LTE bands aren't the US bands but alot are buying the 7105 for its faster 3G capabilities (DC HSPA+) rather than for its 4G
Not sure whether its an advantage to have that feature in US though.

For the International version N7100, if I put in the T-mobile sim, do I only get "edge" and not "3G" ?
And with AT&T, do I at least get the 4G? I am debating to either get the AT&T one of the international one.

I'm in the same boat. I'm moving from Japan to the America, and I have an unlocked N2 with docomo. I knew off the bat that the LTE wouldn't be compatible, but didn't even consider the 3G. Hate to have such an awesome device on an ancient network.

I am using AT&T myself. I just want to make sure with the N7100 international unlocked version. Will I get 4G , I know LTE is out of luck.
Can anyone confirm this?

Almost same here. I will be coming to the US next month with international N7100 unlocked.
And I am wondering which provider will give me maximum speeds (AT&T or TMo or someelse like Straighttalk)

If you have the INT GT-N7100 then you will want to use AT&T but go with Straight Talk they use att network. I use Straight Talk and get dl speeds of 6-8 up of about2-4. And its cheaper than att.

The SGS2 is 4G. Can you explain why the US carriers wouldn't have a 4G version of the Note?
I don't see that as realistic.

Let's put it this way. There has not been a LTE Galaxy note pass through the FCC. The only one that has, comes with hspa on ATT frequencies with no LTE. This means that it will be a minimum of a couple months if ever, that there is a LTE version of the Galaxy note that will work on the US LTE (Verizon or ATT) frequencies. It will have to pass through the FCC and then the cats out of the bag.

Well, it depends where you are. In Louisville, ATT is the slowest of the major carriers at around 3.5 mbps down and Verizon is the fastest with LTE pushing 12 mbps down.
I would go into an ATT store where you are and run the speedtest app on a phone labeled 4g (hspa+) and see what you get.
On 3rd Nov Samsung Galaxy Note London show they said there will be two version of Galaxy Note: LET and HSPA+. So, you have to choose one from them and there is no combination of LET/HSPA+ on a single phone. And, they never talk about NFC anywhere.
siamchen,
About your comment; I think it was a bit confusing comment on the London launch. It was stated that it was either a HSPA+ or LTE - but will both version have HSPA (the slow 3g)? I can't find that information anywhere. Anyone know?

So far there's no sign of the white version for ATT. And updates seem to be much slower getting to ATT phones. I have the ATT Galaxy S3 and no Jelly Bean yet. That's why I'm considering the international version instead. Plus there's a good deal on newegg now for 589.

I'm not sure yet. That's why I started that other thread. It's my theory and hope that you can flash international firmware onto (some) of the domestic North American Note 2's (including Canadian versions).
Just as an example, and I think I may have briefly touch on this in the other thread, take a look at the original Galaxy Tab (7 inch).
The international version of that device, available everywhere else around the world, was able to function as a phone out of the box.
The domestic carrier versions of the same device did not offer phone functionality at all, and were basically locked down, pay-as-you-go only, data-only, worthless (but expensive) pieces of crap! Unfortunately, if you had a CDMA version (Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, etc.), you were totally out of luck, because the chipsets were different (or at least the modem firmware), and not compatible with the international firmware. However, the GSM US models were an exception, especially the AT&T version, and here's why:
With the very slight exception of the T-Mobile version (which used a custom UMTS modem for its own 1700mhz AWS band), the North American GSM Galaxy Tab's had -exactly- the same hardware, transistor for transistor. As such, if you bought an AT&T branded Tab (as I did), and you didn't like your carrier dictating to you what features you could or couldn't have on your device (which I didn't), you could give them a big fat middle finger by simply flashing the international firmware in all its unlocked feature-full glory.
With the T-Mobile version, it was slightly different due to the custom modem. If you simply flashed the international firmware and just left it at that, phone functionality would work fine, but you wouldn't have 3G functionality (because the international firmware didn't support 1700mhz AWS), so you'd be stuck on EDGE. However, if you wanted 3G, all you had to do was use Mobile Odin to flash the T-Mobile specific modem.bin, and off you went (minus working phone functionality). You had to flip flop between two modems, depending on your needs, but it was an OK workaround.
So anyway, this all gets me back to the Note 2 of today. As I mention in the other thread, seeing as how the North American Note 2's are almost identical to their international counterparts, with the major exceptions being the radio hardware and modem firmware, shouldn't it then be possible to get international firmware working on a domestic version?
The first step would be to see if you could even flash international firmware onto a domestic Note 2 and get the thing to even boot up.
Assuming that's possible, and say you have limited cellular functionality (if any at all!), with perhaps only WiFi working or something, then the next step would be to extract the modem.bin from the carrier-specific firmware, and then flash that over the international firmware.
Hopefully, theoretically, that should get you up and running!
*bump*. Anyone else care to share their results?
Thanks

Note 3 Carrier Selection

Which carrier will you use for your Note 3? (Or are considering using)
I currently use Sprint, but I'm disappointed with their lackluster data network so I'm fairly certain I'm converting to t-mobile (with an outside chance of using AT&T, but unlikely).
I'm curious as to what the breakdown is amongst Note forum frequenters. I apologize for the lack of options for non-U.S. carriers, but that information is not of interest to me (Although the proportion of international users is useful, I suppose) I'm a statistician by trade, so the purpose of this poll is to satisfy my (and others') curiosity.
If I get a Note 3 it will probably be a tmobile one because of the unlocked bootloader. I'll use it on ATT. The tmobile S4 works on ATT without a problem.
"technically"
AT&T for me, but, it will be via straight talk, now that they are going to start doing LTE. I was thinking
about AIO, but now that ST is on LTE, I'll probably stay with it.
i don't use much data a month, less than 2 gig. Most of my data is wi-fi anyway. Been happy with
ST, so I don't see any reason now to switch.

I went with Sprint ~2 years ago out of principle (the only carrier I could get unlimited data with) but their network has been so slow for me I can't take advantage of the service. I can get discounts for both t-mobile and AT&T, but I feel like t-mobile offers a stronger value over the next two years for my usage. Depending on how aggressive the throttling is with ST's LTE network and how reliable the service is I'd definitely consider giving them a go, too.
Verizon for me.
I've still got their true unlimited and I'll be damned if I'm giving that up.

well im looking to get full price.. im on att and i been reading that it will be locked and now i read that tmo is unlockedboot..
will tmo work on att 4G/LTE? dont the S800 chips support LTE-A? att is going to get it first or has it already in some places ?
i need a phone that has rom support and needs root.. cant stand bloatwares
I will be using at&t as usual..... The locked bootloader I'm sure will be resolved or bypassed so I'm not worried about it! The most important thing to me is root which should not be a problem!

still new to this rooting thing.. so unlocked boot lets you use the phone on other carriers ? and root just lets you get root access so you can install roms/uninstall bloatware ?
im going with att buying it full price and maybe go back to t-mobile..will the att work on t-mo network?
Unlocked bootloader will allow for custom roms and kernel along with custom recoveries! Root is what it sounds like it gives root access to all system files. Sim unlock releases use on other carriers. And yes at&t device will work on T-Mobile bands.

I'm planning to order the Note 3 from Negri Electronics to use it with AIO Wireless, but I would like the option to use it with TMobile in the future. I also want to be able to root the phone to get rid of the bloatware. I was going to get the ATT version when I started reading these posts.
For what you're saying it's better to get the TMobile version because the 1700 band. However in the product page in Negri, for the ATT version, 1700 is listed as supported:
4G Network LTE 700 / 850 / 1700 / 1900 / 2100 (I cannot post the links to Note 3 product pages in Negri since I'm new in the forum)
Does that means that the 1700 listed in the ATT version is not the same as the 1700 that TMobile uses? Do you still advice to get the TMobile version over the ATT version?
I'm new to all this stuff and will appreciate any help deciding.
Thanks in advance.

N900t vs n900w8 difference

Hey guys,
so I live in Canada and the note 3 model available here is the n900w8 which is approximately 700 plus tax. But I can get the N900t unlocked for $650 tax included.
I tried to Google if both phones work on the same frequencies and as far as I can tell, both phones have the exact same specs.
My question is will the N900t work on all the Canadian networks like the n900w8 or will there be compatibility issues? which model should I get?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
That I can tell there is a difference in the LTE bands between the 2 models so if you want to run rogers you need the n900w8. If using wind looks like the t mobile will work but wind does not have lte. If you want to be able to hop back and forth between different Canadian carriers better off with the n900w8 it would seem, I am looking at exactly the same situation by the way.

Doing some more research the n9008w may require different radios if you changing from wind to rogers etc and also looks like the 900t from t mobile can be made to work with either wind, rogers, etc but again will need to root, add different radios etc. Currently I use Fido with a note 1 ATT and Rodgers is throttling the network as last year I could get 40mb on LTE now down to 10MB, it seems Wind will give 20mb on 3g and Rodgers or Fido wont gaurentee anything better so it doesnt matter if its on 3g or LTE its still going to likely be 20mb speed anyway. Most sites cannot give you faster downloads anyway so paying more is pointless, it only benefits the service provider.

Yea LTE is the only difference.
I have the N900W8 from Telus and it works with Wind and mobilicity
but only on 4G
Of course when i insert a rogers telus bell or other carrier sim i can still retain my LTE cuz that is what my model is.
I have an old legacy with TELUS but I still pay 72 after tax. I still keep unlimited this and that and 6GB data.
This new 2 YEAR plan thing is a load of bs.

Didn't realize there was a specific phone forum.. <.< ( posted in general discussion)
I'm planning on going to either Japan or Korea and was wondering which Note 3 will work best. The Verizon Note 3 (Is it true that all of them are factory unlock? I read that it isn't) or the ATT unlocked phone?
What country are you coming from?

I'd say T-Mobile because of the free international data, free Wifi calling back to the US, and $.20 a minute international calls.
So GSM? (ATT/Tmobile). I was asking mainly because I got interviews to work in Japan or Korea and wanted to bring with me my phone (I have a ATT Note 2 on Net10). I wanted to use their cell towers and wanted to see if LTE would work, or which one would work better
