It is because of undvolting
Reduce undervolting and your problem is solved

does anyone if it is safe to underclock??
About (122MHz ~ 245MHz)
Probably
It's stable on 122mhz on mine. But it's super slow and laggy. But battery saving

So is it safe???
Or should I just put it to powersave mode??
I heard that it may decrease ur phones battery life. And from others that u need to put it at least to 245MHz so that the system can run!

safe on mine
122mhz works on mine and is very consistent. It never crashed on that frequency. Don't know if it'll work on other phones.
Anyways thanks gonna underclock!!!

I would also say two hundred better safe than sorry
Also battery on mine at eight hundred mega hertz is still eight or nine hours so really its only if you had no charger for longer than that that you would under clock

my phones usually lasts about 2 and a half days!!
I've noticed that the battery level is very unstable. For example the LG Optimus 2x's battery level changes every 1% but on the LG-GT540 it changes every 3-10%

Battery

Hey fellas.
I just want to know which is the best settings for governer and i/o scheduler so that i get more battery life.
Im using Ussr v5 and i' ve set max frequency 624MHz and min 312MHz.
use gov:conservative i/o sched:deadline
this wud save ur batteryy..
Droidwall is a much better app than juice defender, it saves a lot more juice than juice defender does and that too without any RAM and battery consumption.
Best Power Saving Governors
Best for Screen ON: Ondemand
Best Screen ON + performance: SmartassV2
- Good choice if you need a performance governor with some power saving
What about when my Screen is OFF?
Best Governor for Screen OFF
Without Deep Idle: Same as Screen ON > Ondemand
With Deep Idle: Any governor

U need root access for droid wall.. And juice defender is fine for un rooted devices.. Was talking about an unrooted phoneView attachment 1320249
Sent from my GT-S6102 using xda app-developers app
The OPs phone was rooted..btw juice defender might save some battery but it takes a lot more since it runs background all the time, monitors every system function (wifi disabling per app settings) which needs more juice than normal, it depends whether it saves battery or not, for an aggressive user who shifts to wifi, 2g very frequently, it definitely saves, but for those who use 2g/wifi rarely or not actively, it wont matter much on the battery
How to setup droidwall after downloading to save battry....ihave downloaded it but cant undestand waht to do

Its because galaxy y stock kernel does not support droidwall.
Use a custom kernel which supports droidwall.

Hmm.. I don't use merruk kernel, so m not sure. I just checked its features which says "NETFILTER Compatibility with DROIDWAL." so thought it supports.
Though it also have a to do list listing "DROIDWALL App Fully Working"

Smartassv2 and vr
from my experience governor give very small impact on battery live. if your phone mostly in sleep, like mine, i find best governor is performance. performance does not save power but it's maximize suspend (aka deep sleep). faster cpu working, faster it's job done, faster it's go to sleep. for moderate usage like browsing, any governor that design to work with android phone will work. the different is not too much. for heavy work, none governor can save your power.
for i/o scheduler, it does not have any impact to your battery.

no -volting.
its something different and for saving some battery juice or extra power.
many other (newer) phones/kernels support it.

if you know how overclockers clock their pc-s , then you should know about volt-mods/overvolting (vdimm, vdroop and etc.)

i think the only "undervolting" our phone can do is change the stock frecuency from 245 to 122 lower is unstable....up is 806 some people a little more or a little less...thast regarding the cpu frecuency in terms of Voltage i think is more than imposible due to inestability.
here is full overview of overvolting and so. : link
but shortly:
overvolting gives more voltage to hardware (cpu in this case) .
more voltage=more overclock , but also alot more heat.
undervolting decreases voltage of cpu, to save battery juice for longer time, but instability occurs @ same clock.
(need to lower cpu clock for more stability).
and also cpu is cooler.

I'm running N7000XXLT4 as my build -- is this simply an improved update that just hasn't hit my German unit yet?
And what's better in this LT5 from LT5 posted on may 7th? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267748 Why we need another thread?

Something must be wrong with the phone if you have such a high CPU usage after a fresh install. Send it in for servicing.

first, whats your upgrade procedure, try without restoring stuff and let os settle in. restoring app+data usually causes this with me.
Also what app do you use for measuring cpu usage. That may be off for some reason. Also note cpu utilization v. s. governor. Example on demand scales up frequency when e. g. uses 80%, so it will seem high, but in regard to frequency it is not. Due to battery savings lower frequencies are used, until 80% frequency is reached before going to a higher frequency, thus for same task higher utilization of that frequency it may not be a bad indication is what I am saying.
Now a rom usually needs some time to synch, perform breakin tasks, scan all media etc, try to see through settings, development options then cpu utilization what is utilizing cpu. Maybe app has gone bad, rogue, or maybe its expected.
M using CPU Z, thanx for utilization info

your welcome, you can check also cooltool, that has a nice overlay you can position anywhere. You can configure and show e.g. frequency, cpu utilization, temp(battery I think), pretty fun.

Heat & Stuttering

Is there a magical ROM out there that eliminates all the stuttering and heat issues? I'm on stock firmware on an I9505. I don't remember the SII and Note being this bad. What's the trick?

Could you not just set power saving mode on and Deselect the other options in it?

Haven't noticed any difference between normal mode and power saving mode
With Ktoonsez Kernel and its included KTweaks app it worked GREAT for me once.
But then I tryed to update to MOega V5.0 and my phone is like an oven now...
I believe it is not a kernel issued though, because I searched the entire post and hadn't seen anyone complaining of such thing.
