Problem parsing the package

Dear Exparts
I am sorry for the question like a noob but what's the meaning of "problem parsing the package"?
I tried to install the new version of XDA premium app but it said problem parsing the package.
Doesn't it support our SGY?

Did you purchase it off Play Store or downloaded the apk from somewhere? Sometimes the download temporary "stops", thus getting the file "corrupt". You can notice that by the file's incorrect size. I've had that problem with a few APKs and I just re-downloaded.

He definitely downloaded it off somewhere....i dont experience that in play store........

I took the apk file from my friends phone. It's running ok at his phone.

Problem in parsing package may be because app is not compatible with android version of your phone or app download is incomplete etc...
And it is showing that problem because xda premium needs android 3.0 or above.so its not compatible with our phone as its on 2.3.6

Hello all....
These days i m very upsad with my glxy y...coz most of the time it is showing EMERGENCY CALL ONLY...
Can any body tell me wat is the problem and wat is the solution....plz

Did you flash any Rom ? A csc issue could be problem i guess . But please provide more details while asking questions .

check if you have sim card or if you have network connection

I am using Hyperion rom...
Not permanently but randomly most of the time network didnt show and showing emergency call only...

Did you flash stock Rom or something if you flash 1 that's not from your region that'll happen

If that was the problem he'd be getting no connection at all not a connection then no connection

The same problem sometimes happen in jelly blast too but it rarely happens and doesn't stay for long but maybe a reboot will help

Hey...i have flash it a long time ago...i faced a lot of problem..most of d time my fone shows emergency call only..after a restart it goes fine but again in 15 - 30 min it again shows emergency call only...plz help...:thumbup::banghead:

it has many different stock roms from many different regions download stock rom from your region where u live and flash that via odin if you flash a rom from another region ull have connection problems

FIX: Emergency Calls Only Error in Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360

Don't mistake me for posting this fix in a new thread. It is because I am new to xda and I am learning !!

try to change kernel

Check if your IMEI number is missing. If it is, flash a stock rom. Use Galaxy Toolbox to create a backup of the IMEI and then flash custom rom. If the IMEI is still missing, get Galaxy Toolbox again and restore the IMEI.

Check whether if ur imei number has gone 4 a walk....
If so then flash the stock rom via odin by downloading the appropriate firmware for ur region or country.
& if the problem is not as above then still flash the stock rom via odin .
As flashing stock rom is the solution to most problems..

I don't know about repairing but if you want to decompress files then you can use 7zipper es file explorer or androzip

Try zarchiver. Really good app.. not sure of repair.. as never heard such option in compression tools..

Hey guys! I am new here, i've just rooted my galaxy Y GT-S5367 and wanted to know if those customs roms of S5360 work in mines... btw i want to install a good custom rom, which one u guys reccomend me to this phone model?

I dont know if its the same model how'd u root ur phone was it with the update.zip file
Also dont ask about best roms good roms anything relating to a roms likeabilty or u will be trolled upon those things depend on the user so rom rating from 1 person means nothing to another

Did u try searching for roms on google?? Or here only?? Else keep a backup of ur phone and flash a 5360 Rom..see if it works..

I've been looking for one in google but its hard to find one... i've tried the backup by cwm, but the recovery isnt avaiable for the s5367... how can i do a backup without cwm? Sorry im new :s

hmm try jelly blast v3..... just keep looking around on xda u will learn about roms graduall
1 tip is always have a titanium backup of the stock rom ALWAYS
atleast untill u learn how to use odin

Link2sd can't create mount and script for ext4 !!!

I'm using hyperion 8
Every time i want to link to my sd ext4 it says
Can't create mount and script
If i turn ext4 to ext3 then it can create mount and script. But Still got some problem.
As u can see in the picture that it showing me that i got ext2 when my sd ext is in ext3
Now all i want to say that how can i create mount and script for ext4
And sry for my bad English

Had same problem
Format ur SD to whatever format u want in PC after partition
then try linking via link2sd to the same format ... it works

SD ext2 is the name of the folder not the format your partition is formatted to ext3 if it was ext2 it wouldn't have mounted when u selected ext3
How'd u format your SD cards second partition

As off now I think fat32 is better
Also if u want ext4 so badly
Just partition ur SD using cwm
then plug it to to ur PC
Format them both to ext4 again on PC (search on Google how to do it)
Then reboot ur phone and select ext4 in link2sd
I use fat32
Formatted via Ubuntu no tool

Yes they do
Ext4 better than fat32 better than ext3
But ext4 not compatible with all kernels and roms so fat32 is a smarter choice

A better format would be ext2 not fat32 fat32 is a last resort if all else fails

anyways,i always use ext3,but i can't mount ext3 in link2sd.
even i use ext2,i always select ext4 in link2sd,because only that option that works
in kuro and hells kernel,the same happen.
but i got no problem till now

I prefer use the fat32 coz it is always work on any rom
