How to root samsung galaxy y duos ?

Helo guys, i recently bought new galaxy y duos lite and want to root it, but cant find anywhere how to rooot it. Can any1 provide me a guide or link how to root. ?

Just follow the method for y..it works on y duos too

search cm recovery for galaxy y in google.itll give you link and instructions

Download update.zip file [google it] then send this file in sdcard.
After that turn of ur mobile.
Pres vol up key + Home+ power on buttons in one time
Then system console will open
Select flash from sd card
Use volume and home key to nevigate:screwy::screwy::screwy::banghead::screwy::screwy::screwy:
Select update.zip
And youre done

Do search "root samsung y" or "universal GB Root"
The update.zip file made this possible. I had trid with
Samsung galaxy y/ y duos/ y duos lite/ pocket

Why not root the duos phone like all the other duos users? Head over to duos development section.. see sticky threads.. DIC thread... get link to root thread in first post.. go to 20th page in root thread.. you will get updated file.. and see instructions in first page of that thread.. if you get problem.. the ask in help thread..

Download update.zip if u have downloaded it then go to recovery via 3 button combo
Apply update from sd
And then flash update.zip.
All done.

[Q] first brick....help....:'(

my galaxy y just got bricked nd i am freaked out like hell....
i am stuck on galaxy y logo screen at boot up.......
plz help...........
i flashed a file......in cwm
rebooted it..........
and stuck in galaxy y logo........
then i thought that i should use the restore option.....
as i did that backuped earlier.......
nd when i restore it the words in the background says "error while flashing boot image".......
plz plz plz help.........
i am litrally freaked......(its my first brick)....

you have to flash the kernel with maked the backup than u can restore the nandroid.

nothing to worry mate just go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1465800 download rour stock rom and flash via odin it'll be allright !
By the way are you sure it was stuck there at y logo because sometimes you'd need to wait as long as 5 minutes after fresh flash ! And what were you flashing ?

it was a file that said it will give me busybox after installing it........

corrupt sd card

guys i am having a 64 gb sd card which got corrupted today. it contained lots of documents, important files ,backups and many other very important data which is very precious for me. can i restore my card and get those data back. pls help.

Format ur sd card and then u may get an app from playstore or search at google to recover deleted files from sd card.

Hi There I've Rooted My Device And Install JellyBlast V2 i Didn't Like it So Much So I Removed it And Installed My Stock ROM Again Via Odin But When i Saw V3 I've Download it But When I Try To Install Bring Me That Error
finding rom.zip...
opening rom.zip...
E: can't open /sdcard/JellyblastV3.zip(bad)
installation aborted.
Tried Another Roms Same Error Tried A 3 Different SD Cards And I've Got Same Error
Can You Please Help Me Fix This i Really Want To Install That ROM

i Passed To CWM
And Choosed
Mounts And Storage Menu
And Thats What i Got
Mount/data
mount/SD Card
unmount/System
Unmount/Cache

so system is mounted, try to flash stock rom first and after that flash jbv3

maybe, so after you are on stock rom, go to temporary madteam cwm, install jelly blast v3 ( btw, download it from the official thread ) and after that wipe data, cache and dalvik cache ( in advanced section cwm) then choose reboot system now and wait 5-10 minutes to boot up properly

Hey guys! I am new here, i've just rooted my galaxy Y GT-S5367 and wanted to know if those customs roms of S5360 work in mines... btw i want to install a good custom rom, which one u guys reccomend me to this phone model?

I dont know if its the same model how'd u root ur phone was it with the update.zip file
Also dont ask about best roms good roms anything relating to a roms likeabilty or u will be trolled upon those things depend on the user so rom rating from 1 person means nothing to another

Did u try searching for roms on google?? Or here only?? Else keep a backup of ur phone and flash a 5360 Rom..see if it works..

I've been looking for one in google but its hard to find one... i've tried the backup by cwm, but the recovery isnt avaiable for the s5367... how can i do a backup without cwm? Sorry im new :s

hmm try jelly blast v3..... just keep looking around on xda u will learn about roms graduall
1 tip is always have a titanium backup of the stock rom ALWAYS
atleast untill u learn how to use odin
