Lately, when I turn on wifi, after a couple of seconds, a notification comes out on my notification bar that says:
"[email protected] wants to chat"
When I click on it, nothing happens; the notification bar just closes but the notification doesn't go away. When I hit "CLEAR" to dismiss the notifications, it disappears but reappears after an unspecified number of minutes or when turning on wifi again. I tried identifying the icon but couldn't make it out. I'm guessing it's TALK but I don't have that installed (I removed bloatware).
The most recent apps I installed were:
Whatsapp
tSpyChecker
LBE Privacy Guard (uninstalled already)
Power Toggles (uninstalled already)
BatteryDischarger (uninstalled already)
AirPush Detector (uninstalled already)
TrustGo Ad Detector (uninstalled already)
AdAway
Lookout Ad Network Detector
Missed Alert (uninstalled already)
Call and SMS Easy Blocker (uninstalled already)
Easy Battery Calibration (uninstalled already)
Here's a screenshot of the notification:

I hope someone can help me get rid of this, it's VERY irritating, and worrisome. Thanks!

that's rather too extreme, don't you think? i don't think it's warranted yet at this point. i'm looking for something more of a compartmentalized solution, like a grenade than a nuclear bomb, if you know what i mean . but thanks for your suggestion.

Thanks for your suggestion. However, I don't have Talk installed, and it doesn't appear in the list of apps in Google Play as well, both on my phone, and on the PC. There isn't a Talk app in the Playstore either.

backing everything up and then restoring it would restore the problem too, wouldn't it? i was hoping to find out what's causing it, so i can get rid of that specifically. maybe i should start uninstalling stuff and see if that solves the problem. thanks!

i don't have google talk installed on my pc either, and i haven't signed up for that service. however, it hasn't occurred again; so i'm thinking maybe it was a fluke or something. in some of my contacts, if their email address is gmail, it shows as instant messenger with a green dot. but when i click on it, nothing comes up. this is just one of those things that nobody else has experienced i guess. thanks all for your replies.
edit: upon deeper introspection, it seems like it hasn't happened again after I installed AdAway. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but as far as solutions go, I'll take it for now.
looks like there's a app in ur phone which is doing this---notification ads!!. go to the app's pages on google play and read what kind of ads they show .........
So after claiming yesterday that the problem was 'apparently' solved by installing AdAway, the problem promptly reappeared when I turned on wifi. I decided to check out if it is Google Talk that's really causing this. Long story short, after downloading the Talk IM client onto my laptop and signing in using my gmail account, the same message came up. I promptly dismissed it, and uninstalled Talk from my laptop again. This time, I think I can confidently say it's gone for good!
Now I'm left wondering why there was no way to stop those annoying notifications from coming up and how it got to my sgy when I didn't even have Talk installed on my laptop. This was the first time I even downloaded that IM client and signed into that service.
Anyway, hopefully that solves the problem. Thanks to all who've tried to help. More power!

The apk name is listed along with the packagename in the list. If you are unsure what things are safe to block/disable. There are plenty of people on the forum that would be willing to help you.
I did not see the package name so I will have run it again and read more carefully or try to change the size of that field.

Here's one thing to think about also, by accident I blocked the Google stock email , not the Gmail. I went back to unblock and I had to re-enter all my emails back again. So what I'm saying after a block and then an un-block it wipes the app. Did you expect that to happen or should I expect that to happen for most apps be turned back on?
Thanks

Hey everyone! Quick question, I've read many times that "Package Disabler Pro" is the best app to disable all the bloatware.
But I have also read that if you disable all of them or use the "Disable all Bloatware" selection in the app, it causes issues with other apps and services such as samsung say and amongst others.
Can anyone help on this issue? Or is there a solution out there... saying which to disable and which not to?
Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
This is too complex question and next, some packages depends on another. E.g. you can disable ANT+ but you need it if you have a sport watch.
Generally, do not dollow colors in the application. I've found some ping packages which could be important (ANT+).
It depends on your needs/using habits, but there is some that can be disable almost always, yet still there is cases where you may need it.
Few examples:
- you can disable email application and its services since you can (and probably should unless something very specific) use Gmail instead of it (you can set up non-gmail account in Gmail app), so feel free to disable this.
-Google play movies/music/newstand/books - if you dont use these disable them.
-Galaxy apps and its services - i dont see point for this app, only uses are - for getting offers (so claim them before disabling) and galaxy care... any apps you can get on play store, so egt the offers from Galaxy apps and turn it ands its services off.
-Gear VR services - if you dont have Gear VR headset then there is no use for these services and if you get Gear VR afterwards you can just enable those services, its fast and easy.
-SHealth and its service - dont use it? feel free to disable it.
- i dont use Samsung account and its backup options (since you have same functions from google) so if you dont also, feel free to disable it and its related services.
and there is A LOT more, and it all depends on what you want/will use! BUT remember, its very simple and fast to enable them even if you disabled them, with no harm done.
Carefully Checked Before Disabling, but Galaxy S7 Keeps Rebooting
I have carefully checked everything I disabled before doing it, but now my Galaxy S7 keeps rebooting, although not always with the same results. The fact that there's no information about numerous items preloaded on this phone is totally unhelpful!
How does this app work, since it doesn't require root? And is there any chance it will trip the Knox counter on an unrooted phone? I'm very interested in it, but I don't want to lose my tap and pay or my warranty (yet).
I have posted here my extensive list of disabled packages, with no ill effects that I know of:

com.sec.android.widgetapp.samsungapps (maybe Always on Display items are in Widget ? maybe, just I guess)
com.samsung.android.app.galaxyfinder (It's not about this problem but I advice enable it. This is search bar in the menu.)

com.sec.factory
com.samsung.android.firmware.tsp
com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager (maybe about watch)
com.samsung.android.sm
and I see you disabled too many useful app like "Wallpaper Cropper, Galaxy Finder". Why you disable these ?
Just try it first what I wrote and check again for Always On Display

Yeah, I see on my Sony Xperia phone that has a custom ROM that there's an option on lockscreen and security that allows you to choose how long does it take for the phone to lock, not sleep but lock, in seconds, like "5 seconds after screen turns off" or "immediately after screen turns off" etc.....on my S7 it just takes forever and I can't find a similar option, sometimes I turn off the screen and after a few minutes I turn it on and it still has locked, sometimes it does it immediately, could there be a workaround ?

I am having real problems with WhatsApp on the P8Lite. I'm on firmware B564. In short, despite the fact that WhatsApp is a protected app and it is set to "ignore optimisations", I often don't get WhatsApp push notifications until I open the app, at which point I receive a flood of them. I'm also using ForceDoze so I can edit the inactive_to setting to 10000000ms, which if I'm correct should instruct Doze not to kick in for a few hours after I stop using my phone.
Can anyone help me on this? I really don't want to roll back to Lollipop. Thanks!

My phone has been acting really weird for a few months now and I can't figure it out. Is there a way to find all apps on the phone user installed, system, and hidden?? My phone isnt rooted; well I havent rooted it nor does it say it has. For instance earlier when I pushed my volume button there was an accessibility guy there nothing would open when I pushed him and while looking threw my accessibility settings and checking here and there to see if he was still there, he just vanishes without me turning anything off. Like WTF. Theres other weird things but that's just the most recent 1. And it's got me very concerned. Pls help!!
Your probably have a setting on in Accessibility like visibility enhancements or screen reader, you'll need to turn it off.
For list of apps you can view them in Settings > Apps ( Tap the 3 dots on the top right and tap "Show system apps" )

That's what I thought at first so I went threw my accessibility settings and they r all off. He hasn't been back so far that I have noticed. I know there r some spyware and malware that u can hide from being seen or make it look like some random app. Is there a way to use like adb or android studio to scan it for something that shouldn't be there.

I'm not sure too much about malware, I do know that Samsung has their own "Security Features" in Settings > Device Care > Security if you want to scan your device, also try Play Protect.
Seeing that the Accessibility issues are out of the way, what other problems are you experiencing ?

I saw the guy again but this time I kinda got to look at the running services and I found this. Could that have something to do with it?? As u can kinda tell, once I forced stopped that cloud messaging service the time changed on it and went under the dual messenger service. But as I was saying beforehand, google play services always had a pop up saying using headphones in the background. But my data doubled in the last 2-3 months, things I download will just disappear and pictures (like my phone will restore itself a few days but not my messages or calls), my phone also keeps adding a new camera gallery like it's not connected anymore and is a new camera same with the screenshot folder. If this doesn't fix your issues. I recommend you reset the device and do not install apps like this.
