I have read 2 threads in N7100 - general section about Note 3 with 6.3" to be out in 2013.
http://techcrunch.com/2012/12/13/bi...ly-slap-a-6-3-display-on-the-galaxy-note-iii/
http://www.slashgear.com/6-3-inch-samsung-galaxy-note-3-tipped-for-2013-13260736/
Edit : my preferred size is 5.7 or 5.8".
6.3" is little too big for note as a phone.
Haha... Funny.. Is that pocket sized? Haha

If you google "6.3 inch" all results are about the note 3. If this turns out to be truth - they are keeping the aspec ratio of 16:9. ..
Damn !! 6.3 inch is bigger than my...............................................................................................................................hand
Still, If it has a flexible display then that would be awesome, Although im intregued as to how a flexy display works, Surely it wouldnt be as clear and colourful as the amoled ?
i cant keep up with technology anymore.
I hope they make, i would buy it.

I went to the store and compared my note 1 to a note 2 - nothing great about the note 2 at all. Really no more real estate just slightly taller - so worthless to me - than even lesser resolution. So I will wait. Glad they announced this because bigger really does help me - as a prof / researcher / grad chair on a multi campus university - I can do so much with the Note. A little bigger is even better. Best thing about announcing the Note 3 - vaporware or not - is I do not have to keep thinking about getting the Note 2. I have a reason to be happy with my Note 1 and wait. Peace of mine.
for me it really depends.
if it's nearly as large as the nexus 7, then no. I won't buy it. if it's only a little larger than the current note 1/2 and the bezel is tiny. then I might consider it.

If the problem is the size.. Why dont we all buy a Note 10.1? I have a S2 and the Note 1, note 2 Its big and those plastics used in it made me scared... If it falls, that screen is cracked.. A big note with 6inches? Thats not a portable Phone.. You do not go to the beach, or a disco, or somewhere with a big Phone like that... Its doesnt feat anywhere, there are no pockets for that.. Maybe some People Will use it.. But Its almost a tablet... Bad choice Samsung, I hope Its just a rumor

First of all... people still go to discos? Second the n7000 fits easily in my pockets, even the smallest ones I don't think an extra diagonal inch is gonna make a difference. Especially if they reduce the size of the bezel.

The super pls screen is actually a beautiful screen. Best out right now imho. But the 8.9 using the same screen will increase ppi making the screen look even more crisp. Can't wait for the next generation of tabs

The store manager sold it to me. He said that they opened it to look at it then returned it to the box. I didn't see any more on display or in the cage.
Considering how imminent the next generation tabs will appear, I see little to no point to buy this. It's just a waste of money to get a Tegra 2 based tab at this moment.

Not true. Higher DPI forces your eye muscles to contract more tightly to focus on the smaller text. This causes greater eye strain for any age. We have evolved not to look at such small concentrated areas which is why humans get eye strain to being with.

I don't think specs matter. It's about about screen size. Take a loot at what's happening with S3 and Note. S3 is supposed to be a lot faster thanks to 4 cores, but still lots of people are choosing Note. Big screen > faster CPU.

This is false, and I will tell you why: right now the note has reached sales of 7 million while the galaxy s3 had 9 million pre orders... I think if you give it another 6 months (current life of note) it will further destroy the note in sales. Faster CPU > bigger screen for 'lots' of people, especially when it has the fame of the s2 behind it.

How do You know that there will be Note 2? Why would they build it? What they can improve on it? Where comes the trend of Galaxy 2, Galaxy 3, Note, Note 2? Is it because of Iphone? I don't think that Samsung will build Note 2 in near future, certainly not in 6 months or by end of this year. Current Note will be here for at least 2 years. Remember my words...

What if Samsung pay heed to all of the feedback from people that think the Note is too big and make the Note 2 smaller...?
Maybe they'll put a 4.8" or 5" screen in it... and the main differentiator will be the stylus.
All of this speculation is useless. Until we have specs, making a decision, or some bold statement that one device will be better than the other, is foolish.

Not a smartphone, not a tablet, ...the future of pen and paper.
The modern day filofax?
It obliterates the competition.
To qualify, been a htc fanboi since spv. Loved how the wife's iphone keyboard never makes a spelling mistake, despaired how htc keyboard was useless. Blown away how everything just worked with the wife's ipad 3, unlike cheap android tablets. This leads me to this ultralight technological revelation, the Note 2. I've never used anything that you can write with a pen, that is so accurate. In business we still write so much on paper, this really feels like the future. Okay, I admit I'm blown away by it. And I never liked samsung mobli's before.
One criticism... this god awful cheap and nasty plastic chrome ring around the phone. Hellloo? 550 quid, give us some metal. The silver back of the iphone 5 is soo blinging tasty. But if metal adds weight, leave it off, the lightness of this device will make your jaw drop.
Happy rant over. Lol

Whenever some says, 'is that your phone?' I always say, "yes. It's more of a pocket tablet though".
My own rant: current media definitions of phone/tablet/phablet are STUPID.
Since when does something suddenly become 'something else' if it is .1 inches wider?
Does that happen with any other piece of technology?

I just received my Note 2. I purchased it to replace my 10.1" tablet and I couldn't be more pleased with it. My ASUS TF700 & kbd dock go up on eBay today - I won't miss hauling it around.
I tend to think of the Note 2 as a mini tablet more than a phone but I'm hoping that perception changes a bit as I carry it the next month or two. If I can see using it as my phone and tablet in one device I'll be purchasing the T-Mobile branded version with my upgrade when the Note 2 is released through T-Mobile. My .16 year old son really wants one of these things as a replacement for his WiFi Ipad 2 (we're not providing him with data for his phone - he'll need a job for that) so I'll trade him my international Note 2 for his Ipad if I doget the T-Mobile version.
Maybe it's a phablet. Time will tell.

I'd rather wait for these full HD screens with very large DPI and, hopefully, Samsung will not revert to PenTile Display again, like they did when they built the S3 (after the S2 having had RGB matrix).
Since Dec.15...mine got buried in sand, lost it, dropped it and finally spent an hour under heavy rain.

Don't know mate, but to me it's not a huge upgrade! I mean if you look back, Note to Note 2 had 100% upgrade, so in that sense Note 3 should have 4 GB RAM.

The most interesting rumor I read was that of a 3x optical zoom on the camera. Don't forget, the note 2 was supposed to have a 13 mp camera originally but they couldn't get a good enough supply so stepped it down to match the s2's camera.
3 GB RAM is nice - but not particularly important for me. But what really intrigues me is the battery - hope they pack 4000mah battery now, that'd make me seriously tempted And since it's FHD it's likely to be pentile.
What really worries me though, is the thinner bezels making the OLED more prone to cracking - I mean I never thought anyone would report S4 having cracked OLEDs by just keeping it in pockets - having gorilla glass and all that. I really suspect this is due to thinner bezels.
5.99 is a real mistake. ...i am glad because that way i wont spend money

I skipped s4 because I already have monster note 2 in my hands. I am very ery happy with it, now I am very much excited for note 3. I really believe that Samsung will bring their A+ device for note 3.
