Hello I have a GT-P7500 (Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G)
I was using stock ICS from Samsung, I thought it was the most stable, pershoot's CM9 and CM10 builds didn't fit me well, But then I knew that CyanogenMod Team started making CM10 nightlys for the GT-P7500. So I decided to try since I love builds by CyanogenMod Team
So I downloaded the newest 3.x kernel on DroidBasement site . I flashed the Bootloader just like he said and I flashed the MODEM too. Then I flash the newest CWM for GT-P7500 and flashed the ROM and the Kernel. It booted fine for the first time, and I set up my tablet, downloaded neccessary apps, surfing the web, reading ebooks,... And when I go to sleep I decided to turn it off to save battery life
Next morning the tablet won't boot, no matter how and how long I press the power button. I thought it was a battery drain, so I plugged it in, but nothing happened. Just a black screen, NOTHING! I waited for a whole day, when I arrived home from work, I hoped it would boot because I left it charging all day, but it's still the same, NOTHING.
I asked around and they said maybe it's the EMMC Brickbug. But I don't think so, because pershoot removed anything that could cause the bug in his newest recoveries. And I'm using A1 kernel when I flashed the ROM, which can't be bricked by the EMMC Brickbug
So I think one of the stuffs that I flashed maybe the problem (the recovery, the modem, the bootloader), I doubt it's a bootloader bug, but if so, why did it boot for the first time. And I flashed the bootloader while in ICS and I was still able to get it recovery after turn off, so it is the bootloader?
Any ideas guy? Any help would be very much appriciated.
PS: I can open it up and do something with the hardware. But I don't know much about the software.
If you press power button, then connect to windows computer and see how windows reacts - does it see something as having been connected? If yes look in device manager to see what the tab is identified as being. Even with blank screen you should find something happens if it's not completely knackered. If it doesn't show then long press on power button 10 secs would put it in nvflash mode and device manager will detect nvidia something or other. Let us know what you find
Sent from Galaxy 10.1 I/O running AOKP 4.1.2 Still going stronger and faster than yer average tab!

Hi,
I´ve got the same problem. I connected the tab with pressing power button, but nothing happened. The flash LED on the back is just blinking shortly! Windows shows me no reaction and I can´t see anything in device manager.
Is there any other possibility?
Thanks!

If computer does not show anything connecting then device can possibly be described as dead/fubarred.
The last chance would be the "power drain" approach as discussed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1167579&page=2 post#20 by pershoot

I connected the tablet and windows started to install the driver I think for the APX mode. The installation worked fine but if I plug it in again windows shows me no reaction. I thinks it could´nt be a hardware brick or do I´m thinking wrong?

Try to recreate the conditions...shame you unplugged it if windows was installing the drivers. Keep trying the long press method and hope that when you reconnect to computer the APX mode is enabled and windows sees it...
If it does, take a look at this thread

I had something similar and had to put my tab back to original factory fresh state by doing the following:
Found "How to Unroot / Unbrick the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Latest " at www dot youtube dot com/watch?v=KYBs98R9rTs
with file info at www dot qbking77 dot com/samsung-galaxy-tab-1012.html
which results in a stock original unrooted GT-7510.
From there I rooted back into CWM recovery and reflashed CM10 so I'm back with a working version of 4.1.2
I hope this info may help others unfortunate enough to get stuck like me.

Hi all,
I thought I'd consult the brains trust to see if anyone thinks this is salvageable. Was using my A500 about 2 hours ago, suddenly the screen powered off. Thinking nothing of it, I held down the power button to restart it. When powering back on, nothing appears to happen except for the power button lighting up. No screen on, no vibe, nothing except the power light on.
Tried power cycling a few times to no avail. Tried the reset button. Tried the Vol+ Power and Rotation switch reset. Nothing.
Out of morbid curiousity, I plugged it into the PC and switched it on and I get an APX driver being installed. So, clearly something is happening here.
It has done this once before and came back to life of its own accord very shortly afterwards, this time it's been dead for quite some time.
Any suggestions? It's well out of warranty now, so I doubt Acer would be interested in it at all.

In the Dev threads, or possibly Q&A, there is a thread called "stuck in APX mode". In there I believe are some steps to see if you can recover.
But, if you're in APX mode, you could probably try NVFlashing the bootloader and recovery the old fashioned way manually.
But look up that APX thread first. Will probably have the answer. I'll see if I can find it in a little while, if you don't find it first.

Thanks MD. I looked up the threads you suggested, and after a lot of screwing around I have installed the APX drivers and used blackthund3r's APX Flash Util 0.3 (The link is broken to the current version) to attempt a recovery of my tab.
Its now sitting at an Acer screen, "Entering Acer Download Mode" while the flash util is sitting at:
Nvflash started
[resume mode]
It's been there for about 10 minutes now, no progress to report. Is it worth just sitting it out, or now that the damn tab shows SOME signs of life, can I just restart it and reset to factory?
And then most bizarre of all. I declared no progress, rebooted it. It went back to APX mode.
Re-ran the blackthund3r tool, it didnt do much so I bailed that. Restarted tab and attempted to load recovery (vol + and power) and it booted normally.
What the hell...

edit: and of course keep the link for the thread MD recommended.
Gee. Sounds exactly like mine....
The only thing I haven't tried is an update .zip, but I don't hold out much hope.
Considering parting out at this point....
Yeah, I dont have high hopes that it will last a whole lot longer. Up to this point it has been running Acer OTA updates only, no custom ROMs and no root.
I restarted the tab a little while ago and it went back into APX mode again and stayed there. Some more furious button mashing and attempted restore-mode boots, and it booted normally.
I made the point of wiping it this time using the Vol+ & Power & Rotation Lock trick and its been ok so far.

I have a cousin in Jamaica. She might possibly help (chicken foot and some frogs blood...voodoo you know)
Here's What I think.
You got some corrupt data or a partially bad devblock. This might explain the strange behavior on boot.
Like the tab really doesn't know how to boot.
Personally I would do 1 of 2 things at this point. Either;
1. Root that thing, and try running Timmy Deans root back to 3.2. This should reset your partitions back to normal. Then work your way back to an ICS rooted, Bootloader, and custom rom.
2. Leave it alone, and don;t turn the tab off. Clearly some partitions are messed up at this point. The toggle of the lock usually wipes user data. But the core issue is still there.
If it were me, I would pull out the nuclear missile and go for it all.

Tried the update.zip - nada
Tried timmiedean yesterday, went into Acer Download mode OK, failed....
If dolps is like mien, the first time he tries to go into recovery, it will crash again...
It's baaaack!
Tried blackthunder flash again, failed.
Went to turn off to get out of APX, and it booted!
Now boots, boots to recovery and boots to primary.
I have no explanation.
We will see.

First, is this a SOD?
I can kill it by booting into recovery and get it back by using Blackthunder flash tool to go into APX and letting it sit for 20 minutes or so. Close the program, unplug, reboot and it is back. I would like to use timmiedean (td) and go back to square 1, but it fails at the image detect ( displays ICS 4.0.3 Civato as the current image, a red X for the new image). Has td been proven to work reverting from ICS? Will a boot recovery reflash and a new ROM flash solve this? Is there another way to get out of ICS back to HC?
Any suggestions/comments welcome!
EDIT: I flashed FLEXxx V4. Shut it off, problem still there....
Really frustrated. Trying to use the timmiedean tool, but it requires that the unit be shut off in the middle of the process, which kills it. Does anyone know the whereabouts of the blackthund3r revert tool, or the .apx package for his flash tool. I can't find it...
I'm done with this one. On Ebay for parts.... GONE!!!
Have an A100 now, rooted, unlocked,. on Relix

Hello, need some help please.
Had my 101 with JB Nightlies rom and wanted to try another rom. I've downloaded super wipe for samsung galaxy S3 and run it in my CWM.
The process didn't finish and the tablet restarted giving me an endless message saying to wait a few moments and that it was deleting everything.
The problem is that this process does not stop and i can't get in CWM again. It just stays there... tried to restart and the message comes again and no CWM.
I figure it out that i have to nflash my device but i never did it. I found Wheelie on this link: http://androidroot.mobi/2012/05/27/introducing-wheelie-nvflash-for-asus-transformer-tf101-b70/.
But i just don't know how to do it on linux... just installed Ubuntu.
Can anybody help me please? :crying:

First don't run scripts that are made for other devices, especially a super wipe script, not only that, some roms done need a super wipe, refer to the install directions on each ROM page.
Second, using olife though terminal is probably one of the more dificult methods to use to do what you need.
Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012&highlight=tool+one+click+stock
It's basically a simplified package instead of you using terminal, it's really straight forward but ask if you need help.

The funny thing is that i've been here for 2 hours clicking on vol + and power button and i can't get in to APX mode and i know that i have the correct drivers installed because after the problem append i successfully connected to APX once

Are you clicking like a short press or actually holding them down.
To get into apx you need to hold both of those buttons down while the power is off, usually for about 5-10 seconds.
If it's boot-looping try holding the power and volume + button for like 30 seconds to 2 mins.
I've gotten stuck in a boot loop before and I just had to hold the buttons down for a while before it did anything.
Keep trying, good luck!
Btw is the script you're running on the internal storage or on an SD card?
If it's not even letting you boot android or recovery I think APX mode is your only hope.
nvflash for b70+ devices: http://androidroot.mobi/2012/05/31/wheelie-for-windows-beta/

I think my problem is my cable because before this happend to me i tried to copy a rom from the computer to the tablet and it wouldn't connect. I've order another cable from Ebay yesterday and let's see what will happens.
This program is very easy to use so i think i will not have a problem. :good:
Will report when i get the cable
Thank you very much!!!
Well, i tried on another computer and i got in APX mode and used the software to nvflash... it totally worked.
Thank you very much fauxsoul for your help :good:
This means that my tablet will never have anymore problems again despite the fact that is a b70 device except if i drop it on the floor! eheheh

Hello everyone This is my first time posting so I hope this is in the correct spot.
I have a Transformer TF101.
I rooted it months ago and can not remember what method I used.
I installed CyanogenMod 10 and everything was fine.
I did an update to one of the nightly builds and now my Transformer is stuck in CWM.
When I plug it into my Windows 7 pc it comes up with a unknown device code 43. I have tried it on several other devices having vista and xp and the same thing happens.
For the heck of it I tried placing the stock FW on the SD card but the transformer does not see it.
I tried placing it in adb mode but the pc still comes up with unknown device.
I have factory reset, wiped cache, and delvik, it is just stuck on CWM.
Can anyone help me with this or did I just totally break the thing? Thank You.
what did you use to flash the rom?
Try doing a cold boot......volume down and power (like you would to boot into recover) but release the keys when the white writting comes up on screen and press nothing.
use v+ and v- to toggle and select the Android or let it kick in itself.
sounds like youve used rom manager

Thank You Scotty: That did get me back so it boots up. None of my computers will see it. Wondering if maybe the cable took a dump. I did use rom Manager. try this to see if you can fix the recovery loop
Recovery Loop fix with terminal emulator
Was using tablet and just playing a game -- tablet reset, robot with ! showed up.
After that, reboots bring me only to the Acer screen.
I can do the VOLUME UP + POWER -- vibrates, powers up, toggle the switch, let go of power button and it does:
ERASING USERDATA...
ERASING CACHE...
Then it reboots back to the ACER logo, and just sits there. I have downloaded one of the ROMs and done the VOLUME with POWER BUTTON start up and it doesn't do anything. Just stays at ACER logo.
I've looked at quite a few things here on the forums and it hasn't done me any good -- nothing seems to want to work with the tablet unless it's in debug mode (which means it has to be a working tab). When connected to a PC it does detect as an MTP USB DEVICE and says "THIS DEVICE IS WORKING PROPERLY." But I can't get much of anything. The only thing I've used that remotely works is USBDEVIEW which gives me the device info including a serial #, which I understand is NOT the cpuid. I do have the box, so I guess that would have the CPUID? Any help appreciate. More than willing to just blast this thing with a one touch factory reset from the PC, if it will just connect.
If you had it at the dead android guy, it means you probably didn't have the decrypted "update.zip" on your Ext SD card. If you had stock ICS running before, you can try downloading those 4 update.zips I posted a few threads ago. Will have to try each one, and hopefully one of them works.

Also, when I just tried the link again, it is no longer working.

I bought the tablet used and it would loop on the green "ANDROID" screen. So I don't know what version it was on. I tried the volume +, rotation left and power on to clear the cache and user data. After that it hangs at the ACER screen. I'm assuming it had HC because it has standard recovery. IOW, if I hold the volume - when powering on, it goes to the green Android logo and if an "update.zip" file is present, it will flash it. I've tried just about every "full" ROM I can find and most of them flash but none of them get past "ACER".
I've tried pushing the reset button while powering on while connected to both a Linux box running Mint 15 and a Win7 box. The Win7 box see the tab but won't load the driver. Even though I d/l'd the USB driver from the Acer site. Mint 15 sees the tab but comes up with the error box saying it can't be mounted.
Hi,
i never touched my Nexus 7 with any other ROMs or such. It was still rooted and kinda original. Now i can't do anything with it anymore.
I talked to the google hotline already and i was trying to start the bootloader which works fine, but nothing more.

2. When i start the phone just with the power button i just see the google logo.
3. When i plugin the power cable i don't see the battery for loading.
I got another device from google with horrorable battery power, so now i wanna try on my own the save my Tablet. I flashed my Galaxy Nexus and HTC HD2 couple of times, so i'm not a 100% Noob.
I was already looking in like 10 threads i found about problems nearly like mine, but i don't got the golden clue yet, sry.

Finally I use Skipsoft ToolKit and use option #9 Download, Extract and Flash Google Factory Stock Rom and it works . My N7 was returned to stock with latest firmware.. Of course you will lose all data and still have to unlock and root again

If you can't see the white battery picture when plugging in the power cable, I suggest you use AC power, and if you are, try using a different USB Micro cable.
