Got myself a 16GB TF300 last night off of craigslist for $250 with keyboard and 32GB SD card and a gumdrop case. Screen has a couple scratches and overall I'd rate it about 8/10, happy with the deal. I currently also have an acer a500 too.
The transformer is much snappier than my rooted/rom'd/oc'd a500. Not long after getting the transformer I unlocked it, got ADB re-installed on my computer, rooted it, and installed Clean ROM, now it really flies! Running the stock kernel now, got a couple oc'd ones downloaded, but figured I'd wait until it starts to feel slow or I get bored! Got more reading to do to figure out a few more tricks and max out the battery life.
Screen is OK, not poor, but nothing to write home about. The display on my a500 seems to have brighter colors and better contrast. I primarily use my tablet for websurfing, watching movies on plane rides, and some polaris office action on work trips. I hope to now not have to take my laptop on trips anymore, with the keyboard I should be able to do everything I need. Will be nice to not have to tote that monster through airport security.
Tablet had JB on it already, just got flash going with Boat Browser. Got the latest Dolphin on here but it won't support flash on JB. No haptic feedback and the single speaker sucks, but when I watch movies its with headphones anyways, so should not be a real big deal.
Looking forward to learning some more and hopefully being able to contribute to this area of xda.

Haha, its OK, I see he's from Chicago, probably a Bears fan
I got a used 16GB TF300 with keyboard and 32GB (albeit class 4) SD for $250.
Only complaint after a couple days use is when I touch the screen sometimes it's not responding, but only happens in Boat Browser so I think its the app. I only use Boat for flash when I need it.
seems like a good deal to me too

go to the elocity site and click on the purchase tab and then click on the BJs logo to buy. I cant post outside links yet.

Just ordered one too.
I was considering a color Nook, so spending $50 more for a Tegra 2-based tablet looks like a great deal.
I hope the XDA geniuses take a run at rooting and getting Google Marketplace running on it.
got my order confirmed this morning and because they delayed it a day the itme is now out of stock and my order was cancelled oh well
I ordered mine from tigerdirect and received confirmation.
Hopefully they ship it soon.
BJs charge shipping + tax shipped to NJ comes out same price as tigerdirect.
Hardest part will be deciding selling archos 70IT or returning A7
I had one on pre-order with Amazon (for $379), but when I heard about the BJs.com thing last night, I ordered one from them. BJs.com shipped it out today, and so did Amazon... go figure! I'm sending the Amazon one back, but I should have both of them in the next couple days.
This tablet is for my wife, but I'm really hoping to see some developer support too. I'm going to see what hacking I can get away with before I give it to her on Christmas =)

Nice..I'm very curious how development will be on a device like this.
Hmm...I'm think Dell Streak homescreen would fit nicely
Its available again so im deciding if i should reorder or wait for a tegra tab with built in 3g >_
I'm not concerned with 3g (it has USB so I can always 4G internet share from my phone or there's wireless tethering in seconds). What I am concerned with is the screen resolution. I would imagine it has to look pretty pixelated at that size and resolution (7", 800x480, 133dpi), the Galaxy Tab is much higher at the same size screen (7"/1024x600/170 dpi). Surprisingly, the iPad has a slightly lower dpi but still looks great (9.7"/1024x768/132 dpi)..To compare to a smaller device, a Nexus One is 3.7", 800x480, 254 dpi.
Considering the price, I suppose it really can't be beat tho. IMO development makes or breaks devices like this.
Amazon actually pricematched and now are at $357 shipped (no tax to NJ ).
completely torn because io love my galaxy tab but there has yet to be any true deep development i think due to the pricing (i do appreciate the work being done currently for the galaxy tablet though)
Just ordered mine
Just ordered mine yesterday and it is on its way, ill confirm whether universal androot or z4root works asap. Also lets try to get some devs in on getting market for this puppy and maybe some themes and roms. Start posting guys!
Recieved mine today.
My first android device
I'm looking forward to learning how this thing works.
So far, it is really fast.
Seems like a very generic tablet.
Doesn't have Android Market; Getjar instead.
No google apps.
No calendar.
No notepad.
Basic email and browser (w/flash 10.1 installed) included.
Not sure where to start...
I did install Swype and it works great! That is one of the main reasons I bought a tablet!
BTW, bought mine from BJS.com for $299 plus tax and shipping. No membership required. No surcharge for nonmembers.
Ordered yesterday, got it today!
Hey jazz how are the viewing angles on the device any way you can host some photos?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Mine will be here within hours, but I have one very important question for those already with the device. How many simultaneous points can the touchscreen register? Their official spec-sheet says it's a 1-point with pinch-zoom gesture :/

I have soo many questions:
Lets start with the easy:
1)screen- how are viewing angles. I currently have the vewsonic gtablet and plan on returning it due to lousy viewing angles. Also how is the 800x480 resolution whihc some were suggesting might be too low (galaxy tab and nook color are 1024x600)
2)Battery life. My viewsonic is claimed to have 8-10 hours battery life. How is this smaller device
3)Form factor. How does it feel in the hand. Well balanced? easy to type with? Can it be used one handed?
4)Connectivity. Is absence of wireless N an issue? Can an external keyboard (either bluetooth or usb) work with this?
5)Hackability- I am not sure if you plan to or have tried but being on xda I think you would; can u root it with z4root or androot? Would imagine this is doable
6)UI The viewsonic stock UI layer over android is terrible and if not for other Roms it would have gone back immediately. nOw with work done here the Gtablet is fast with its tegra processor. How is the stock UI layer? is the overall experience quick? Have you run quadrant score?
I know tonnes of questions,b ut you are among the first to own this tab!!!!!
I'm a newbie, so please forgive my ignorance, so here goes:
1. multitouch works. ie. pinch to zoom. It seems to go too far when I do it, but I think that is because I hold it too long. The response is extremely fast.
2. Battery. I've been using it for 1.5 hours so far this morning, very heavy use playing Ashphalt, Madden, web browsing, etc. Full brightness. Battery is currently at 60%.
3. I love the form factor. The case has a very slight rubberized feel. No fingerprints, except on the screen, which is glass.
4. Downloads seem very fast. I don't have an N router, so can't comment on that. I just ran Speedtest. Download speed was 12.33Mbps vs. 13.23Mbps on my laptop.
5. I just plugged a USB keyboard in and it works.
6. No hacking yet. I can't even figure out how to start and stop applications! Android is really foreign to me.
7. This device needs a calendar! I assume Google apps are the best choice? I haven't figured out how to install it.
8. No Android Marketplace either. Getjar instead.
9. Viewing angles: I don't have anything other than my laptop to compare to, so it's not fair to assess. I will take some photos of an image and upload if possible.
photos of viewing angles
Here are some photos of viewing angles.
Compared to my HP 17" 1920x1200 laptop.
Photos from face on and 30 degrees above and below.
As you can see, the screen darkens most when viewed from below. In use, I haven't had any problems at all.
ps. sorry, I just noticed that the view from above is very blurry. It still shows the brightness though. Let me know if you want more.
Also, are we going to get a dedicated forum for this device?
I have gotta say, I love swype! I'm using it right now and it is really fast!
I have been seeing mention of CM regarding installing android market and gapps. Is that clockwork mod or cyanogen? Is there a specific version for every device?
Also,i don't understand the file system on these devices.
So i just got my TF today and I must say that i am pleased! I know many otbers have posted issues but i hope to start a trend of good reviews. Other than a slightly imbalanced speaker volume i have no issues so far on latest firmware. Build quality and screen are leaps better thanmy Acer iconia were! If i could find an app to just slightly increase screen sensitivity and right speaker volume it would be perfect! My acer iconia was a nightmare of force closes and stuff and finally would just boot loop. I also love the built in swype style typing on the keyboard. Can't wait till my dock comes! And i should note i haveno light bleed that i can notice!

I have some light bleed that I can see when I turn the lights off but meh...it seems to be a common issue. Otherwise, I agree, I'm pleased too (hope i can say the same after 2+ weeks of use...)
I'm extremely pleased with mine too. With the exception of the HD videos in youtube, everything is PERFECT. Hopefully the battery doesn't disappoint me tho

Please fix HD. Thats all i ask
never been more happy with a mobile computer.
I too am impressed. My coworkers have the IPad2 and Blackberry playbook. All are impressed with the transformer. I would place is just a little behind the IPad2 due to the refinement of the OS but lightyears ahead of the playbook. I think i have had one or 2 force closes...other than that, silky smooth. I dont think i will ever be able to check the youtube HD because i have craptastic internet in Italy.

I too have been loving my TF...the ONLY thing that I could say that I didn't like was the lag...if you install a bunch of apps...keep an eye on the responsiveness....mine didn't like an app or two and began lagging....
A reset, and judicious reinstall of only those apps I needed fixed the problem.
Been using my transformer for the past2weeks. Therefore the occasional hangs, but for the first iteration honeycomb, its really impressive. This is coming from someone whos been using aplenty products for the past 4 years. Cant wait for further updates and optimizations

I've had mine for a week and love it too a terrific gadget, so glad I didn't buy an iPad2 so much more versatile with USB and SD/micro SD
Definitely loving my TF. Just applied my skinomi yesterday..(not an exact fit, but i feel a little more at ease).
Havent had any hardware failures. no shutdowns, no unbalanced sound. responds well.
We need more of these threads..
After 2+ weeks use, I can honestly say I'm still super pleased every time I pick up my Transformer. I didn't think I would have a use for a tablet having just bought a MacBook Pro (I run w7 on it exclusively) but sure enough, I tote the trans every where I go and can do just as much as my MBP (serious gaming excluded.)
I take notes at work, browse the internet, and keep chat open all at the same time. Multi tasking is a treat on Honeycomb for me with the lovely notifications. On break, I have a serious amount of games then a near infinite library between SNES, PSX and N64...I will never run out of things to play or do on it!!
As far as hardware, the screen still blows my mind. Yes, I have a small light leak but only when I turn out the lights and crank up the brightness. The bezel on the right side creaks a bit but thats never bothered me. I've even had the sleep of death twice...all you do is plug it into the nearest computer and problem solve...whoopie, they'll update and fix that bug.
I just ordered a dock so I can only imagine loving it more when 3.1 hits and I can use an xbox360 controller on it to play my emulated games.
The grande finale to it all is that I paid $100-200 less than a certain other tablet on the market. Suck it Trebek!
I have to chime in as well. I am more than pleased with this device. I had the tablet for three weeks before the keyboard and I was impressed, as were most of my level-headed co-workers. (I have a good friend/coworker who is a die-hard Fruit fan). I've had the keyboard dock since Monday and WOW. This thing is aptly named, indeed.
It transformes into a very useful netbook with the keyboard and Splashtop is a VERY awesome tool that lets me leave the laptop at the desk literally ALL DAY. I'm in meetings a lot and a smaller form factor is more conducive for them. This thing seriously is my IDEAL device at this time. All I would like to see is a slightly faster processor, but it's 100% sufficient for my needs.
I heart my Transformer. EVEN moreso now that I have the keyboard dock. Seriously, it transforms this thing into something even more awesome than it is without it. It's crazy how giddy I am over this thing.

He said he sees no light bleed that bothers him, why try and find a light bleed? I am the same way, mine might (or might not) have light bleed, I don't go trying to find something to complain about. I use mine from everything to reading in the dark to watching movies on it and I have found no light bleed that sticks out to me. Why do people try to create problems, is life really that boring for some?
I've received my tf 2 days ago - I'm happy! !!

Some of you have been around the block with this device. I have always had the stance that I did not need a tablet. I postponed and always found a reason to wait. When the Tab 10.1 was $325 shipped from woot, I could no longer fight that off.
While I waited for it to ship, I scoured your forum (very familiar with XDA, but never a section for tablets). I was EXTREMELY impressed with the posts, the peeps, feedback and the stickies/guides. I had a good feeling about the device before it even arrived, when you have a strong network to go to, any android device can be fun..... big kudos to those who write guides and develop for the Tab.
I also found help with accessories... ended up ordering the pyro skin carbon fiber case, which was sent extremely fast, good price and fits the tab like a glove... great experience (though I wanted the red one and they were out).
Finally... device shipped. Childhood Christmas people... so happy. Fought the urge, decided to power it up to full... cut it on, realized just HOW pretty the screen was on the bootup alone... loved the setup... even the "new" look of the login screens being so different from the android phones that i have used... just "cool."
Boots up, everything starts syncing.... thinking wow, extremely easy. That is so unlike Android (market perception, not mine).... then I started browsing the market... the web... youtube.. camera... gallery... everything is just working.
I know there is an update, so to be weird, I reboot, then update.... getting concerned because it seemed to take forever... finally, it reboots and voila, everything I was doing before looks the same if not better... great.
I load up all my apps... noticing Plume is the most sexy app ever.... night and day difference from the phone experience....
come back to XDA... decide to go ahead and root and try a rom. Find the root guide with the all in one download + video... Jesus, as someone who prides themselves on guides, that one is flawless... well done. The root process was crazy easy... only thing I would have suggested here, the guide could point out you could just flash a rom right after getting into CWR to cut out some steps.... regardless, very easy, very impressed. I know some of you have had, or have helped friends with other android devices not even close to being this easy. Kudos to developers, again.
I decide to go with Task650s 7.0.... the rom booted up and just felt right from the start. I have been putting it through the paces and still need to explore more, but so far with it AND the device, the tab is top notch. Can't believe I waited this long.
Right now I have my Galaxy S4G acting as my wifi hotspot at work, I can put a password on it so I do not think my data usage should be much different than if I were just using my phone... true? So much better using the Tab for checking twitter, etc than my phone.
Anyway, like I said.... some of you know this.... just felt like you might like reading a new guys perception.
As always, taking suggestions and feedback as I try and learn more about the Tab and what it can do.
Glad you like it and webt with tasks rom . As for using your phone as a hotspot, I do that and the tab uses abitt nore data, but only browsing the internet. And like I said to you, get the usb adapter. I can mount my phone in mass storage on my tab and use it to transfer files and stuff. My whole nandroid backup of my tab is stored on my phone along with it's own backup
i'm also a Woot purchaser, and just did the same procedure.
My tablet is really nice, now. I took advantage of Zagg's 50% off sale and got a leather back skin and their rubbery orange-peel screen protector. Now my Tab is the bigger brother clone of my HTC Thunderbolt. The leather gives an elegant feel with minimal weight, as well as some drop cushioning.
I didn't want an iPad, but I do love what this can do. Also, it connects to my Apple Air Port at 5GHz, so it gets a true 300Mbit to my NAS for book and movie loading.
Everytime I want to purchase an electronic device (my old system or my dslr or my gtab), I read a lot of reviews and watch videos on youtubes comparing it to other devices, and I have to say that I'm glad I bought the galaxy tab even though I paid $630 for the 32GB version, but and I even convinced my brother to get one instead of the ipad

I felt just like you, now I can't live without it. I got a SGS2 in May when they first came out and loaded it up with apps for video, reading, browsing and the like. Watching movies on a 4" screen is kind of underwhelming. Reading and surfing are a pain because you're always zooming the text to be able to read it. The Tab's so thin and light I take it everywhere now and it's my primary consumption device. E-mail and messaging is so much easier with the additional real estate. I now use my phone mostly for quick e-mails and messages, taking pictures and videos, and streaming via A2DP in my car. Everything else I do with the Tab. It's 3G so it's always connected so it's easy to whip out and just get stuff done. Teg 2 sucks but it's got enough horsepower for what I do with it. I'll get rid of it when Samsung's next-gen tablet comes out. Primarily because more power's always good and I like that the next-gen tablets have higher res screens.
Here's some apps I can't live without:
- Plex
They just upgraded the server and it's amazing how great it is at streaming video. I get unbelievable quality even over a 3G connection.
- PlayOn
Fantastic for Hulu and Amazon Instant. Again, the transcoding's excellent and plays well even on lower speed connections.
- SwiftKey Tablet X Keyboard
It was clunky at first but the latest revision was a complete revamp. The thumb keyboard's great as is their word suggestion logic.
- HD Widgets
Fantastic clock and weather widgets in multiple sizes designed for tablets.
- News360 and Pulse
Great tablet news feeds
Next Issue, Press Reader, and Zinio
All great tablet apps for newspapers and magazines. If you already have print subscriptions, the digital versions on Next Issue are free.
- TouchDown
The native e-mail client's not bad but TouchDown has great widgets for mail, appointments, and tasks.
- Asus SuperNote
It's a pull from the Transformer and available in the dev section. It's the best note app for hand writing notes. They all suck because of screen lag but this sucks the least.
Good luck with your new Tab, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
I'm jealous of the woot guys who got their device already. Mine is scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm estimating Friday with how slow it's been so far.
Can't wait to get my hands on my new toy! I sold my transformer at the beginning of Nov, but after hearing of a $500 base price on the prime, it was over my allotted amount to spend on myself during the holidays.
Along came the woot sale, and I couldn't pass it up!
Loving my rooted Tab on Task's 7 as well and I agree it is an awesome Tablet...
Some apps that I enjoy on it are:
--Tweetcaster Pro
--Reader HD
--HD Widgets
--Thumb Keyboard
--Netflix
Glad to hear you are enjoying it!
Like some of you I'm pretty new to tablets. Just got my 10.1 tab a couple weeks ago and been immersing myself in thhe Android universe ever since.
I've been very impressed with the devs here and their products. I flashed In Paris v5 the day after I got the tab and today replaced it with Task 7.
It's sweeeeet.

bought mine and got it a few dys ago, it works very well so far and doesnt get too hot
using it for productivity it works well, not doing any gaming on it
only thing that is terrible is the battery, but i am sure i can open it up and upgrade that later on
cant complain about anything really for the price
i'm a tad bit apprehensive buying from people that spell capacitive, capacitance.

Umm... they got it right.
That's a diction error, at the most. And you should be able to let that slide seeing as capacitive screen technology rely on capacitance theories.

If they ship with EMS then im all in
I just received mine and found it to be already rooted with several WiFi accounts logged in. all in all its very nice for the price. I am going to be letting my 4 year old use it so she will leave my Asus Prime and my wife's iPad alone. I am interested to see if there will be any development support for this device it uses a pretty common CPU and form-factor.

I was wondering about development too. It is really what is stopping me from picking up one.
i saw a video on youtube of the location where they develop the actual chip, can't say it instilled a lot of hope.
At worst flash a different rom and do a little cleanup and its good to go.
OK I'm 2 hours in and i have ran into a few issues. First of all the stock software is horrible. they load a bunch of weird stuff on to it before they ship them out. While my daughter was playing Bouncy Mouse it locked up the screen went non responsive and the music continued. I had to hard reset it buy long pressing the power button for 15 seconds. at that point i figured what the hell. ias soon as it came up i reset it back to its factory setting. this seems to have improved it a bit. we will see. I will keep you all posted.
that just makes me more worried, lol
maybe you'll have some luck with a different rom.
Well resetting it helped a ton. You have to more sure you don't try and over work it. I kissed mx player onto it and it plays video flawlessly. Netflix works great. I am very happy with it.

Received mines today and I'm VERY impressed. For $70.00 this isn't bad. Love how sleek and slim it is. I'm going to order 2 more!!
This is the working hulu plus apk. I have used it and can confirm it works great.

I'm jumping on this one
I figure for 70 bucks it's worth trying. If nothing else it will be good for keeping the kids quiet in the car.
Tablet + MiFi hotspot + Netflix = Mom and Dad don't have to threaten to pull over lol.
Ordering today, I will post how long it takes to arrive and maybe even a little unboxing video

THANKS for this!!! This tablet is AMAZING for the price I'm very impressed!
how's the battery life on these? mainly surfing the web. i see it lists the battery as a 2200ma... they also sell these two at a great price and it's said they have 3300 ma batteries.

i'd really rather get the cheaper one tho if the battery lasts atleast 4 hours surfing web pages.
Screen protector and rubber/silicon case
Planning on getting a couple of these for my kids. That way I won't cry too hard if they do get broken!
Anyway, since they are for kids, does anyone have any idea which screen protectors and silicon/rubber cases may fit these?
Thanks!
I read that in actuality 1.5 hrs is the actual battery time, is that what you guys are getting?
I want to buy this tablet as a movie player for my son for road trips.

Bought my TF300T Christmas day and picked up on the 26th. So... I'm a TF300T n00b.
I do have a Kindle fire that I TWRP'ed and installed a ROM (from here) and I liked having an Android tablet (wife has an iPad) but I needed a bigger screen than the Kindle had. I also have a Droid Razr as we recently switched over to Verizon. AND.... an Android VM in VirtualBox on my computer (I've run linux since 2005). So I'm not a tech n00b so much but a TF300T n00b for sure.
This is a nice tablet! I'm still learning. I wanted to put music on the TF300 and try it out as a media server. My DirecTV receiver can see media servers on the network here. I have Media Tomb running on my PC but wanted to see what the TF300T could do.
I had a hard time figuring out how to put music on the TF300.Linux didn't see the device when I plugged it in to USB. I found that a bit odd, but....
Not wanting to boot to Windows for this I eventually found AirDroid so I could move my mp3 files over to the TF300. That seemed to work out well and AirDroid appears to be well written. Certainly has a much better interface than I expected from a free app. AND.... I don't have to boot to Windows just to move music around.
Tried Google Play Music, but.... just not feelin' the love on this one. I like that I can put all my stuff in the cloud, but I didn't like how slow it was to move it to the TF300 when I wanted some to stay on the device. JetAudio looks good. Haven't tried much else for music.
I definitely want to get a case for it. It is SOOoooo thin and light, I'm afraid I'm going to drop it. I need a case that does equally well as portrait and as landscape because some stuff I do on the tablet seems pinned to certain screen orientation. I'm kinda diggin' the Caseen Skinny case, but I don't see it in navy blue right now.
KEYBOARD DOCK.... I'm torn as to whether or not I want one. I'm really not looking for a laptop replacement as I don't have a laptop to begin with. The extra battery power is an attractive incentive, but.... not sure I want to go this route yet. If I had wanted a netbook I would have bought a netbook. This one is a "wait and see".
OH! And I want to get an microSD card. Not sure I need a 32gig one. But may get a 32gig for the TF300 and a 16gig for my phone. Or maybe the other way around or 16gb for each of them.... *sigh* .... I think sometimes my butt gets sore from sitting on the fence for so long.
ROTTING.... not sure what I gain by rooting this tablet. I gained a LOT by rooting the Kindle Fire and flashing a new ROM on it. But if the TF300T is serving my needs then.... what would I gain by rooting it at this point?
Appreciate all the help I've gotten here for the Kindle, the Razr, and now you get to put up with me here for the TF300... heheh.
Thanks!
For me the stock Asus ROM experience just isn't good enough. The IO performance just kills things at times. The only way to get really stellar performance was to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM and kernel. Since I tried that I haven't looked back. Currently running clean ROM and unters kernel. The performance difference is very noticeable.

Hi Jamal, do you know by any chance if CM10.1 IO on the tf300 is as fast as cleanrom?

I got mine for christmas too
unlocked mine mostly for root looking at CM10.1 and/or an Arch or Ubuntu dual boot
I'm also torn on getting the dock
if I don't I'll get the usb adapter
what would sell me on it is if I could somehow connect other devices to its keyboard over BT
I figure the adapter's like $20 a good BT keyboard is like $30 and the battery pack is worth like $30 or $40 so the question is; is the portability of a keyboard setup with a usb port worth $10? probably. (you can find the docks on sale for $100 lots of places [bestbuy, amazon, newegg, etc]
that's assuming you want a keyboard, a usb port, and a portable charger
you could also make a poor argument for the full sd slot
I feel like if you don't have those things there is still a good argument for it in addition to basically becoming a netbook
(I actually wanted a chromebook [the arm based one] but everywhere was sold out so I got this instead)
I'm a broke teenager so I don't really have the option (yet)
and a quick google search says that using an android device as a bt keyboard works
It didn't feel as fast to me on the stock kernel. I don't think untermench has updated his kernel to work with 4.2 yet but I might be wrong about that.

I'd recommend the dock. It's really handy, and the keyboard is much easier to get used to than I thought.
Side note, I was actually gonna get the Chromebook, too. Still considering it, instead, but since I got this tab+dock for ~$400 w/ tax, the difference would be about $100 after tax...
If you haven't yet unlocked, like me, I've noticed nova launcher has considerably sped up my pad. I rooted out the box and have familiarly with recoveries and roms from my galaxy nexus but the pad is a little more delicate when it comes to that. My advice take your time and read up before doing anything
As for rooting on the stock rom, you can use titanium backup to perform full backups and root explorer to modify your build.prop file for some speed tweaks and even delete system apps. Just make sure you make backups and know what you are doing or you won't be able to get ota updates anymore. Read read and read more first

I bought the dock and glad I did. Not only does if extend the battery life, it also has a USB port and a full size sd slot. The dock also has quite a few short cuts that come in very handy. If I had to do it again knowing what I know now, I'd still spend the money for the dock. Best Buy has them on sale for around $79.

I didnt see as much benefit in rooting either but the slow performance was kind of annoying.
But then I went to try on the launchers. The performance was unacceptable!
Moved onto browser2ram and cleanrom 1.8GHz OC. I love this thing now.

I picked up the black docking station at best buy for $49.00 yesterdday. Waiting on my TF300B1, pick it up this coming week, they didn't have any in stock so i had to order it. $349 for 32gb unit didn't sound too bad at all.

That's not bad. I paid $299 for mine but I got it around Black Friday . They're usually around 399 so it looks like you did pretty good.
