that's normal..
And battery saver will make your battery drain faster than before.
Continuous data exchange drains your battery faster, specially when you are using 3g.

Battery

Hey fellas.
I just want to know which is the best settings for governer and i/o scheduler so that i get more battery life.
Im using Ussr v5 and i' ve set max frequency 624MHz and min 312MHz.
use gov:conservative i/o sched:deadline
this wud save ur batteryy..
Droidwall is a much better app than juice defender, it saves a lot more juice than juice defender does and that too without any RAM and battery consumption.
Best Power Saving Governors
Best for Screen ON: Ondemand
Best Screen ON + performance: SmartassV2
- Good choice if you need a performance governor with some power saving
What about when my Screen is OFF?
Best Governor for Screen OFF
Without Deep Idle: Same as Screen ON > Ondemand
With Deep Idle: Any governor

U need root access for droid wall.. And juice defender is fine for un rooted devices.. Was talking about an unrooted phoneView attachment 1320249
Sent from my GT-S6102 using xda app-developers app
The OPs phone was rooted..btw juice defender might save some battery but it takes a lot more since it runs background all the time, monitors every system function (wifi disabling per app settings) which needs more juice than normal, it depends whether it saves battery or not, for an aggressive user who shifts to wifi, 2g very frequently, it definitely saves, but for those who use 2g/wifi rarely or not actively, it wont matter much on the battery
How to setup droidwall after downloading to save battry....ihave downloaded it but cant undestand waht to do

Its because galaxy y stock kernel does not support droidwall.
Use a custom kernel which supports droidwall.
Does merruk kernel supports it?

Hmm.. I don't use merruk kernel, so m not sure. I just checked its features which says "NETFILTER Compatibility with DROIDWAL." so thought it supports.
Though it also have a to do list listing "DROIDWALL App Fully Working"

Smartassv2 and vr
from my experience governor give very small impact on battery live. if your phone mostly in sleep, like mine, i find best governor is performance. performance does not save power but it's maximize suspend (aka deep sleep). faster cpu working, faster it's job done, faster it's go to sleep. for moderate usage like browsing, any governor that design to work with android phone will work. the different is not too much. for heavy work, none governor can save your power.
for i/o scheduler, it does not have any impact to your battery.

[Q], Battery drain.

My battery life is very bad. If I surf the net it only lasts for around 3 hours. If I use it continously, (not gaming) it is only around 4 hours, when I watch a 20 min video, it drains about 5%. Help!! I'm using Hyperion with repencis kernel

That is absolutely normal,
The more strain u use on the phone (network, wifi, gaming, videos) will correspond to a huge battery loss even with higher end devices
Know your device's limitations, it doesnt run on nuclear fuel you know...

try to use evox kernel and undervolt
Agee with deathnotice. You can use a battery saver app like juice defender but it won't help in case of net surfing or whatever you mentioned.
If you are concerned about battery then buy nokia.
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda premium
No apps can save your battery from drain while playing games and net browsing..
maybe you can try kuro's kernel and do some tweaks like bacem tweak and etc
Sent from my GT-S5360 using Tapatalk 2
Use stamatis tweak of battery nd saver
After flashing it goto system/etc/init.d via any root explorer nd delete sgy ram saver
U'll see difference......

[Q] Effective CPU Settings for Battery Saving

Hello guys,
I just want to ask some cpu settings that will increase battery life,
Im contented in my tweaks , customizations but my problem only is the battery llife,,
hope you guys can help me
Thank you very much
Use battery saver pro. Adjust the battery saver meter acc. to ur wish, but remember that battery saving is directly proportional to lagging.
The higher the battery saver level, the more laggy the phone will be. Its ur choice...

Remember this will underclock your device. So dont try to run heavy games with these settings (they may lag). Alternately be an advanced user of Tasker, and you can save a lot of battery.

Try to calibrate your bAttery or the tweaks you have installed conflicts with each other. . Try to use one at a time. .

Battery Save app

For you What is best app for Battery saving? Sorry for my English
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Power saving mode of n2 with greenify. If you want best battery be on 4.1.2 rom with perseus kernel. Unmatched combo
greenify
Im using greenify too.. it works with 4.4.2 too..
It's worth trying xposed receiver stop and boot manager with greenify as well
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Greenify is great
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
my theory is to don't use power saving apps, I use the built -in power saver, automatic screen brightness, when I exit an app or game I remove it from the recent list, if im in a place with no signal I turn airplane mode on. If I dont need internet I turn off the wifi/data.
power saving mode is great always.. give a try to DU battery saver if u are not rooted. It works pretty well for. Add the cleaner widgte to your screen which helps clearing the RAM with a tap..
Greenify Donation. Its worth it. I don't care what ROM it is battery life is great as long as I wipe internal SD before flash

Greenify, without a doubt a benchmark of battery saving applications.

Hey,
are there any proofs that Greenify increases battery life? Any benchamarks? Comparisions?
Or just illusion?
Like apps to increasing performance, they are ruining it. (i will reccomend here LagFix app

Why don't you try using it and see for yourself. There's nothing better than doing it for yourself rather than relying on somebody else, no?
Benchmark you are referring to is some what, stupid. I am pertaining to a benchmark which elevates the standard of battery saving or performance enhancing.

I did, and to be honest i did'nt noticed the difference, maybe it's just me.
It's not stupid, there's a way to do that.
Greenify should share theirs results to public, if they saying it will increase your battery then prove it! Show me the results. Im that kind of person.
Take care

One option is to install a good kernel for your ROM and configures it to consume little energy (UV)

greenify is the best battery saving app plus you need to remove unwanted apps cz they may be eating battery..mobile data eats battery no one can help you there it's always better to use wifi when it's available..
First of all I would recommend to change the kernel. If you're on version 4.3 or lower Pegasus Kernel provides the best ratio between performance and battery drain.
It's much better than using a task killer.
I tried both, but any task killer isn't quite comfortable, because it closes tasks you may need. And also white listing isn't always an option. Nevertheless you'll have performance lags as soon as the cache is cleaned. Any app has to reload its processes anew.
