So, was there any actual reason for bringing up an old, dead thread other than getting your 10 posts?

I was just doing research on the ROM and bumped into this thread. To be quite honest I was just trying to help out. I didn't realize the thread was that old. My apologies for any inconveniences I have caused.

Oh... well in that case sorry if my earlier post seemed rude, it's just that I'm used to seeing a string of old threads being brought up by new users In that case, fair enough I guess

If you use Goo Manager, you can download PACman rom. So now that PACman rom is available for the sweet, beautiful, precious Nexus 4 will they add the Halo feature from Paranoid Android to it as well? Because I'm currently running PA and I'd like to try this but Ive realised I can't live without the Halo and Colour customisation.

Oh cool, that sounds great. Would be thrilled if pacman ended up getting Halo, it would be a perfect rom then

You're in Luck as HALO was just announced in PAC. I haven't tried it yet, but most people seem to be pretty pleased with this update.

"There is no support for 4.2 on Nexus S and Xoom. Those devices should continue using 4.1.2. "
source: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/android-building/-ymcoMuDAbA
And there will be no official 4.2
I think 4.2 and 4.2.1 have lots of nice new features (like the quick settings tiles in the notification bar) but under the hood, it's a gigantic piece of sh!t, it seems. I've never seen my NS4G chew through the battery so fast in my life!!! Leaving mobile data enabled is a sure death-sentence for the battery in a matter of hours, even if it's in sleep mode!!

Still early, it keeps getting better and better everyday! I am running DaxMax's Xylon 4.2.1 on my Galaxy Nexus and it is by far the best Android I have had to date! All this negative talk has a lot to do with certain Mod's and certain Gapps people are trying to run with 4.2.1 that breaks things and are not compatible. There is a lot of dirty flashing and ignorance contributing to this gossip about 4.2.1 being a disaster. The first time I flashed it I hated it and directly went back to 4.1.2 thinking I would wait til it is complete but the second time I flashed it I am convinced I will not be looking back!
I'm happy running 4.2... Its issues that were also common in 4.0/4.1 when they were first introduced. There are some great people working on it, so I imagine it'll get better soon.

EDIT: It's alive!! And it's working beautifully! I don't know what error it is you're talking about. This is nice!
Just a tip to fellow flashers though: you need to flash separate camera and keyboard zips (but only if you use gesture typing), and superSU. Other than that, solid man, just solid.

That was dropped eons ago though. fuzz used to maintain crespo cm7 if I'm not mistaken, and although gearhead could always be nice and maintain it, I don't believe there's any point.

Most hybrid rom ?

Hi there, I'd like to know which rom is reuniting most of every rom functionalities, Like pac-man but larger.
It could be not a hybrid rom, but only having the most functionalities of each while being stable.
Thanks for answering.

Well the 3 "top dogs" in the developer are cm aokp and pa. Some would say xylon. PAC has pretty much all you can ask for. What "stuff" are you looking for?

Try Carbon. Has features from CM+AOKP+PA (with Halo if u get the correct build)

Tip for Carbon, check the last page (or past couple ones) for a mirror. Goo is pretty slow nowadays during the morning/afternoons. Only time its not slow is when its like 3 AM

I know that Dibblebill has tried Paranoid Android. He and everyone else who has done testing has found PA to be really slow. Both in FPS for games and I found it to have much more input lag than other ROMs.

I've heard this too (but haven't tested PA myself). If anything, I'd consider PA good on looks, not so good on performance (but not terrible either). I personally would rather have something that performs great, with customization as a second priority. Rasbeanjelly works great in this regard Take the performance even further, and then you have RasSaber (updated at a slower pace compared to rbj though). The Black/Blue theme going on looks pretty nice as well (to me anyway).

Hi, yes, I use the ROM. It's actually not buggy at all!
There are not many features yet, but it is stable and fast.
I love multi-windows but I think it could be improved with two things: 1) panel resizing, 2) both panels active at the same time.
Try it!
MultiWindows, here we come!
Would love to see a short, simple video of this ROM in action!
