Get key message from a Bluetooth headset?

Does it is possible to get the key messages ( eg. key_up , key_down )
from a BT headset ? (VB.net)
I think that will make a headset a good remote control for a PDA.
The volume up/down keys on a headset are local. They don't transmit to the device. The answer/hang up button(s) do transmit, so you could capture that. If you could capture that and turn it into a button press on the device, that could be very useful for voice dialing.
Tis is what i want, but dont know how to capture the button press on device.
Tried an app that captures all hardware buttons off PPC, but dont work with a the button from headset.
Is there no way to monitor incoming bluetooth sendings ???

Bluetooth audio, but not to a headset...

Hi all,
I use a THB carkit integrated into my stereo. It uses usb connector to power the pda but bluetooth to trick the pda into thinking a headset is in use so calls are handled by the carkit. Aside the problem of bluetooth intermittantly turning off, is there a way to forward all audio (especially tomtom) to the "headset" carkit?
I've searched the forum and there is plenty of info on bluetooth headsets and how the button on them can be used to start audio via bluetooth, but the carkit doesn't use any buttons. I would be happy enough if there is an app to run whenever I want audio over bluetooth, anything really to sort this out.
Cheers all.
Anybody have any suggestions pleeease?
well sounds like your in a tight spot. I believe that all the audio programs use the button to initiate the audio transfer. Perhaps if you look at the reg edits for these programs you might be able to toggle it with some other input from the phone.....
There is a free program called BTAudio that you could try
tried that program but it relies on pressing the voicedial button on a headset which I don't have.

Bluetooth Volume

Hey All,
Is there any way to control the volume of the call when using a Bluetooth car kit. My ute has a Bluetooth system built into the stereo, but the volume on the stereo does not control the volume of the call. The manual states to use your phone to adjust the volume, but the handset volume does not do it either.
Is there a fix or a way to get the volume dial on the phone to work with Bluetooth.

Using the headset button to control Media Player?

Hello!
Is it possible to use the headset button to skip to the next song in Mediaplayer? And maybe hold the button 2sec to pause/play?
I had this function om my old Nokia 6230 and was very disapointed when my TyTn didnt do this out of the box
fast-forwarding
I have a Motorola HT820 paired with my AT&T 8525 and I use Windows Media Player. This combination supports volume up-down and fast-forwarding and rewinding from the headset's buttons out-of-the-box; nothing to configure. Are you sure that you have the Wireless Stereo profile active and not Hands Free?

Sorry, i wasnt really clear on what type of headset i mean; I meant the non-wireless stereo headset that comes with the tytn. It only has one button, but WMP wont recognise it in the button-settings-page
Is it really impossible to do this? Shouldnt there be some way to interface the headset button?? could it be connected through the usb pins in the jack maybe?

[Q] [SOLVED] Change redial of wired headset to start MVC

I've read around and discovered that the HTC wired headset button only does pick up, and hang up. By pressing it twice it redials. I understood that a long press of this button can't be assigned.
I would like to change the double press option on the wired headset to activate Microsoft Voice Command. Is there a registry hack for this?
*Bump*
Or do I have to switch to a bluetooth headset.

Unless something has changed...I think the only way to activate MSVC remotely is to use a bluetooth headset. It is a pain if you use nice sounding wired headphones and still need to drag out your phone to make a call. I can't believe WM hasn't fixed this issue. I had a voice dial button on my Sony Ericsson P800 headset from ...uh...6 years ago??? I hope someone proves me wrong because I listen to music all the time with a wired headset through an iPhone headset/mic adapter.

Thanks. I am now able to start MVC by double pressing the button on the wired headset.
I did so, by replacing:
\Windows\redial.exe
with a copy of \Program Files\MS Voice Command\voicecmd.exe
Now I can control my MP3's and dial whomever I want without reaching for my phone.
This didn't work with bluetooth redial.
Any ideas how to change the bluetooth redial command to something else ?
Nice one... was away to post the same question.
Glad I searched first
Thanks!
