Hello!
Is it possible to use the headset button to skip to the next song in Mediaplayer? And maybe hold the button 2sec to pause/play?
I had this function om my old Nokia 6230 and was very disapointed when my TyTn didnt do this out of the box
fast-forwarding
I have a Motorola HT820 paired with my AT&T 8525 and I use Windows Media Player. This combination supports volume up-down and fast-forwarding and rewinding from the headset's buttons out-of-the-box; nothing to configure. Are you sure that you have the Wireless Stereo profile active and not Hands Free?

Sorry, i wasnt really clear on what type of headset i mean; I meant the non-wireless stereo headset that comes with the tytn. It only has one button, but WMP wont recognise it in the button-settings-page
Is it really impossible to do this? Shouldnt there be some way to interface the headset button?? could it be connected through the usb pins in the jack maybe?

I have an Imate JasJar and a KJam. I love both of them especially since I was able to install A2DP on both devices thanks to the wonderful people here. One of the things I love is being able to sit and watch my home theater with wireless headphones thanks to my ITech bluetooth dongle and my ITech Clip S35. The phone rings and my headset mutes the volume, I take the call, and the volume automatically comes back up. Life is good. I just bought the Nokia 12w bluetooth headset. FM radio, A2DP, AVRCP and headset profiles. A beautiful design with a caller ID window no less. You would think I would be in heaven right? But Nokia crippled this great little accessory. You can only get the non-headset profiles if it comes from the same device that is delivering the headset profile. I am able to connect to my PC, pair it and connect to an AV profile, but no sound ever comes out. Now before I got this headset I had a Diva Gem MP3 player. This thing is great. FM, MP3 player, voice recorder, bluetooth headset profile AND it even took SD cards for file and MP3 usage. I have had a 2GB card in it and really enjoyed it. But the allure of being able to listen to music from my Universal or watch a movie in the waiting room and listen wirelessly was too attractive.
Here is my challenge:
1. Is there anybody here who can add the A2DP profile and the AVRCP profile to the Diva Gem?
OR
2. Is there somebody who can break the limitation on the Nokia 12W that precludes it from being able to accept an A2DP proile and use an AVRCP profile from a "foriegn" device?
I am willing to bet that there are others who would like to be able to do this with the 12W.
Thanks for any advice.

Put your headset in pairing mode. Go to the Comm Manager on the KJam. Hit MENU on the bottom right hand side. Choose BLUETOOTH SETTINGS. Choose DEVICES. Now choose NEW PARTERSHIP. Both devices should discover each other and you should be prompted for the security code. Most devices use "0000".
I have an iTech S35 bluetooth headset for taking calls and listeneing to music but everytime I connect it to my Tytn by BT, I always have to go into the settings of the BT connection on the Tytn to 'set as wireless stereo'. I have to do this every time or I can't listen to music - is this right or have I missed a setting along the way?
I don't have the s35 but with my sony ds I just set it up once, if I want to activate it I just press the play button on the bluetooth headset and it goes into wireless stereo, try pressing the power /play button on the s35 to see if it switches, you should only set it once, there are some clips that had issues though, but I don't think the s35 was one of them.
Hey Sean,
I've got the same issue!!! The manual does say after switching the S35 on you shoulf press the MFB to initiate the connection but this doesn't happen!.
I'll try the headset with some other phone like the N70 tomorrow and see what happens there as the headset is in work - no it's not! It's here!!! Let me try and post another reply...
Gav.
Just tried with my PC and have the same issue. Need to tell my PC to connect to the headphone profile after switching on the S35.
EDIT:
Just stole mt friends Noaki 6680 and installed the I-Tech MSI player on it. But you need to configure which BT device the player uses so what i think is happening is that when you play music (can only be with the MSI player for stereo) the software connects to the S35 first like doing 'set as wireless stereo' on the TyTN then plays the music...
Nightmare, might have to upgrade to an R35 or somethigh with a remote as I think the remote command from the clip to the TyTN initiates the BT connection for audio also.

Hi folks
I've got my self a pair of HP Bluetooth headphones (very nice btw!) but every time I want to use them, I have to turn on bluetooth, go into bluetooth devices, press and hold the bluetooth headphones and select "set as wireless stereo".
My question is, is there anyway of getting my phone to automatically pair with my bluetooth headphones? Rather than having to go into the bluetooth settings everytime?
Or even put a shortcut on the today page would be easier enough?
Thanks
I was having the same question, but people sais that it is not a good idea to keep your device recoverable from other devices all the time from security point of view. So, i refused from this idea

I found out that if you create a shortcut (.lnk) with notepad and put this in it:
23#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,23,1
You can get right to the bluetooth devices screen. I haven't seen how to pair something automatically though. hopefully one of the bluetooth guru's here can figure that out.
Thanks Jizzay1
Start -> link -> Tap+hold -> connected
Alot better than comms manager -> bluetooth settings -> devices -> tap+hold -> connected
Maybe someone will find a way to press a link and connect straight away, but this way I can live with in the mean time
Obviously different to bluetooth headsets. I use a Nokia HDW-3 and it connects everytime, my bluetooth is not set to discoverable either
I'm not sure why you guys have to re-pair your headsets. I never have. If bluetooth and the headset are on then I can make calls through it.

I'm having this problem with my STEREO BT headset, and it sounds like mixmasterollie is too, but it seems like the people that don't have this problem are using normal mono headsets. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I'll have a mono headset to test tomorrow to see if my 8125 will pair with it automatically.
As iunderstood for the phone calls my STEREO headset is pairing automatically, but not for music

I just tried my friend's over the ear plantronics 510 mono headset and it pairs automatically once i turned on bluetooth on my phone and on the headset. My 8125 doesn't say anything on the screen once it's been paired, but it works.
Sounds like i just have to live with manually pairing my IOGEAR stereo headset.
Try playing with the "action" button on the headset. On mine, the volume up button has a dot on it. I turn on the BT, turn on the headset, wait a couple seconds and hit the volume up button twice. It automatically goes into wireless stereo when I do that. Boy, was I happy when I discovered that!
No such luck I'm afraid, my HP BT Headphones don't auto-pair, no matter what buttons I press on the headset
I think wireless stereo and hands free act differently, whereas the hands free ones connect automatically but the headphones only option doesn't.
Shame really!
Does Wing work with Stereo Bluetooth Headset _ONLY_? One bluetooth headset I have works with Dell X51v, but has no luck with the Wing. Seems Wing requires A2DP(??).
Any ideas?

No, stereo is not required. I have two very cheap bluetooth headsets that both work with my Wing. The wing doesn't require A2DP, but does support it (supposedly).
On that note, is your headset visible in the Wing when you go and search for bluetooth devices (add new) in the bluetooth applet?
The headset works fine with X51v PDA so I know it is functional.
Yes, the headset is visible in the Wing's BT management interface. It can pair the partnership without any problem, when I tried to connect, sometimes I saw the microphone icon appear in the top bar of the screen, but it disappeared in seconds.
When I adjusted the volume, sometimes I heard clicks from the headset, but when I played music/sound, they always came out from the speaker.
What am I missing here? Thanks!!

any solution for listenning to music!?!?!?!?
bt audio is a cab where the music will play on bluetooth
my headset is not stereo, and after i tried bt audio nothing happened.
Am I doing something wrong?
Please help!
Thanks!
Also havng trouble rerouting calls to headset...
Any advise???
I have been reading many threads on getting the "stereo audio" connection to auto connect fot BT Stereo headsets. It seems that when you pair it the first time, both "Hands Free" and "Stereo Audio" are working. When you disconect your headset and reconnect it again, only "Hands Free" connects.
I have tried A2DP toggle and A2DPSwitch, but they dont seem to work on the HD2. A2DP toggle did work when I had my old Samsung Omnia i900, so I can assume that its something to do with the HTC Phone Bluetooth stack
Each time I want to use the BT Stereo headset, I need to go to settings/menu/all settings/Bluetooth/590Plantronics and expand + and select "Stereo Audio". They then connect.
What I would like to do is until there is a fix for this, to reduce the number of taps, is create a shortcut to the Bluetooth Control Panel that shows the 590Plantronics device.
Is this possible?
Thanks Chris
Just make a shortcut to Windows\BTManager.exe and add it as a quicklink.
hi,
i have a jabra 3030 and a motorola s705 and both are reconnecting (handsfree and stereo audio) properly, when i turn them of and on again. when i go out of range (eg. forgot the mobile in teh car), when i come back the handsfree connects direct, and the setereo audio after i press the play button once. maybe this works for you also.
regards mad
I installed AutoA2DP on my phone and ever since, whenever I turn on my headset, it always connects as both stereo bluetooth and headset. I haven't tried it on an HD2 but you should definitely try it out.
I found the .cab of AutoA2DP awhile ago but forgot where I found the download link. In any case, I have attached it for your convenience.

Hi kilrah, thanks for your advice! That cuts out a few blinkin clix now and will do as a work around till this fiasco is solved, lol
I also noticed something very bizzare, and it is confirming my suspicions that HTC is in cahootz with MS or Widcomm or both, lol.
I tried using auto a2dp as suggested by GurWu, leaving the a2dp.ini file as wmplayer.exe. I then deleted the Plantronics from the system, re-paired them and what should spring to life after turning on the cans? You guessed it..WMP all paired up with HF and Stereo Audio. Turned off the headsets, turned them back on again and sure enough, WMP launches and plays thru the headsets.
All good, except I wont use WMP as it STILL doesnt have an EQ (Not getting in to why one needs an EQ or not here, lol)
No problems, I thought, Ill just set the a2dp.ini to pocketplayer.exe (my preferred player) turned on the headsets and.......nothing....no pocket player came to life.
Doing a manual launch of PP revealed that the headsets were only paired as HF, so back to my original problem.
Renamed a2dp.ini back to wmplayer.exe and it all works as it should....mmmmmm...does this wreak of a MS/HTC/Widcomm ploy? LoL
PS @ mad: When you said press the play button, were you referring to the play button on the software of your chosen media player or a hardware button as I dont have a play button on my HD2
PPS: Got a reply bacl from a2dp toggle author, says that it only supports M$ BT stack :-(
Cheers Chris
