Clicking power & volume keys.... - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Does anybody else have clicking power and volume keys I've tried others and they do not, they are kind of soft, do you think I could fix this myself as I love the device I have apart from this small issue

Volume down button issue.

Not too important but lately my volume down button needs a little more pushing to function.Did anyone encounter this?If yes is there anything i can simply do.If not it's ok.
Thanks in advance.
Typically problems like this occur through use on every phone with hard buttons. For example, my back button is almost completely depressed all the time. For the most part, I don't think you can fix this, short of manually opening up your phone.

yea i know that. And i am doing that only to unlock my phone but it would be better if we could get soft keys for it. the hardware keys really get me annoyed when touch dont work.
i dont know why there isn't any softkeys.
but for android roms they are easy available on xda.

Yes, since my hd2 got problems with that hard button, I am using only android 4+
The hard press helps just for a while. I have also changed magldr to clk because of necessity of pushing that button when booting out flashing other rom.
Now I didn't have to push it for a long time...

yea. but if you running windows rom on hd2
there are no soft keys for it.
and everytime you have to press the red button for lock/unlock the phone.
i rarely doubt on developers that why they are not able to provide just a simple softkeys when it is needed by every other person using hd2

Soft power button?

Anyone else have a Galaxy S4 with a power button that feels really soft when pressed? My volume and home buttons both have a satisfying click while my power button just feels weak and pressing anywhere other than the center of the button feels like I'm not pressing anything at all. I tried my friend's phone out and it isn't like that for him.
If you have a case on it an awkward position of the press might make you think like that. That was my case anyway

The first thing I did was take it out of my case to test it out. Why wouldn't I?

Volume UP key at full lock for torch? Or other back key mapping?

Hey guys, anyone seen a mod to map the back keys yet?
I work in a datacenter and whipping out my old gnex and holding the volume key always came in handy when back behind the racks.
The note 3 also has this mid as well with user configurable times in which the led stays on fir.

Power button

Got a nexus 7 but the power button doesn't work.
Can put the screen to sleep using a magnet but the power button wont work.
Im scared that if the battery goes down that it will never come back up.
Can anyone help if I could power it up without the power bottom.
Thanx
