Battery actine weird
When I go to sleep I put my N4 on AC charging, when I wake up my phone is on 100%, and here starts the issue.
Then I start using my phone, and it goes from 100% to 99%, and after some time again to 100%, and few more times like that and then it goes to 99%, 98% and normally starts to drain.
Does anyone experienced this issue, bug?
Don't worry about it. It's a known bug since the dawn of time. Let's hope Google fixes this in the next update.

There will be no fix!
It is no bug, it is just for security to prevent the battery from overcharging.
It goes to 99% then up to 100% and down to 99%....
It is just a number, you know?

I believe the OP may be referring to this behaviour which is also "Nexus 4 normal".
For the first time in years with being with a Xperia Z phone, I have run out of battery before the day was over.
I'm getting between 2.5 to 3.5 SOT, and yesterday it just wasn't enough. With the Z3 (no plus) I got 4 to 5, sometimes even 6 (though I never quite knew why it would differ so much with similar use).
Sony needs to sort this out, and fast, or the Z5 will not be for me (I've been with the Z series since day 1). Oh, and yes, I'd still be on the Z3 had I not dropped it once too many.
This is a Google issue. See battery thread.

Then you're doing something wrong. I easily get a SoT of 4 hours and sometimes 6 to 7 hours.
Install the RAM cleaner
I faced this issue before. When I look deep into the process and so on, I found that the "wechat" and "facebook" is consuming a big piece of the resources. So, I deleted it and the battery life seems like last a bit longer than usual.

Facebook definitely is having problems here too, sometimes it bursts up in battery usage and has around 20% when the day is finished which is unacceptable
I suggest you to use Snapdragon battery guru to control how much background apps connect to the internet.. So you can control facebook and others...

I just started University again after a summerbreak so its been lots of 3g/4g and one sentence sums everything up.
The mobile radio bug is the worst thing in Lollipop without any question. Its just horrible how Google has handled this.
Its not acceptable for Facebook and Chrome to eat up 50% combined out of all the battery drain

I got this phone last week but as I started using it, I experienced some lag in the home screen and in the menu, I looked on running apps but nothing special. Is it a bug?
Probably a bug, mine's fastest than my fully optimized/customized Nexus 4
The only "lag" I have is when I try to wake the phone from a deep sleep, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 button press :/ (but I hope that it'll be fixed in a future update since it's only a software/kernel issue)

I've got the same problem when I try to wake up my phone sometimes.
Yep, same here.
This is nothing new. The Snapdragon 801 go in deep sleep and need about 2 sec to leaf 300 MHz to +800 MHz. After that no lags...
On the other side I lose after 10h stand-by about 7-8% battery with anything on.

I noticed more or less the same battery drain issue at night! Any idea why?!
Is it an issue? I don't think it is!?
Hello guys!
I have a problem with my note 4, and don't know what to do, so i ask you.
My phone is rebooting continuously after lets say 40% of battery, not all time same battery percentage.
It only boots normaly when i plug the charger in.
Tried any roms even original ones, and the problem persists.
Tried with a new battery, same problem.
Please help me.
Same issue here. Any charge in the battery after 6.0.1.
Do a factory reset. If that and a new known good battery doesn't fix it... well, I'm in about the same boat, so my Note 7 arrives tomorrow.

So, you are asking us to do something that will erase all my files that already did not work for you?

Yes. Factory reset works in many cases. It worked for me the first time my Note 4 went wonky. It didn't help this time, and I wanted to upgrade anyhow. I reinstalled everything before even really testing, as I had no patience to determine if some update was causing the issue.
Obviously, backup first.

I did so many factory resets and flashed so many roms. I did changed the battery with a new original one and have the same problem. Today i was at 60% and wanted to install facebook and the phone suddenly restarted. So, i pluged in the charger for it to work and surprise 4% battery. Any ideeas? Maybe the motherboard?

Indeed you are right.
I had reflashed with Odin and the problem continues.
Buying a new battery solved the problem.
Interesting enough, I have it since November 2014 and I am always careful to recharge before 15%, but these 21 months seems to be its life time limit.
On the side note, a 100% charge at noon dropped to 92% at 7pm with the new battery.

I had this same problem. However a new battery solved for me.
Even applications closure are gone with the new battery.
I had noticed the drop in the battery indicator too. Even in the offline charging. The battery was 100% and sometimes when plugged in it showed 67%, 40% and 0%.
I first though it was a calibration problem after marshmallow and was about to root it in order to try to hard fix it.
Notice that when the phone is off, the % charging indication has to be right with the battery (no droppings).
If it shows a big drop (from 100% to e.g. 67%), the new battery might not be good.
Same problem with my phone I change battery my problem solved

My beloved Note 4 is I think dying. I have read several threads, tried all techniques that have been used, including cleanup, cache clean, factory reset, wake lock etc. After restarting it may hold good for sometime but then screen freezes becomes black, exact two vibrations and the phone restarts.
It was an unrooted, very well maintained. I had changed the battery 4-6 weeks back to an Anker Note 4 battery as my stock battery was not holding charge below 15%. Nothing else changed. Perhaps running some magazine apps from mobi, but otherwise just took very good care of this.
I am so disappointed that words fail me to have lost this epic best device ever created.
If you guys can think off any thing I can do to revive my beloved Note 4, please let me know. Please.
Thanks

Frustrating
Strange thing as of this week, mine is doing the same thing - struggling to get it started, and tried everything including the reinstalling the rom - got a brand new battery and nothing is working....I did do an update just before all this started.
i really think its the battery too.... i've had the same problem a while back.

Nope swapping with stock battery still same freezes. Here's the weird part now. Three days running without freezing. I also watched a 45 min YouTube video at 720p. Nothing yet. I wonder is it because of the sheer power of the device and the way we put it on a an overdrive (running almost PC like tasks) has stressed the hardware out and which is now beginning to fail. I am still going to log the sequence of events when this happens. Now replying this via my note 4.

Also is running the best application made for Android (dns66) safe? A VPN vs rooted adaway is very different. Hope no anomalies with this.

I should write a book titled "how to jinx it". Phone back to freezing mode. Will start it tomorrow morning. Activity that I was doing is browsing the Amazon app and loading some item photos and the black frozen screen of death.

Can you post details of the update? What location? I don't think users in Canada are expecting any further updates.

I was having screen freezes without loss of power, would still work with S pen, rooted and installed other roms, tried a 1000 different things and nothing worked. Started having this issues after an official update. Bought a anker battery which solved some battery problems but the rest of the issues remained. 1 month ago phone started going black screen and turning off. Couldnt power it on, had to remove battery to start it again. 2 weeks ago installed nemesys rom and now working all like a charm. Hope im not jinxing it now.
Have exynos 910C
Eva, can you please keep checking and posting your results here. Fingers crossed too.
Also a brief step by step guide to install nemesys rom would greatly help.
I also thought if Nougat could fix the issue?

Will be calling Samsung support today based on suggestions on the other freeze thread. If 300 euros (that would be brand new phone in Canada), I am going to take this forward to the press.

It is a well known issue. Please read similar post in this forum (note 4 freeze and restart).
Solved only by installing app called wakelock, that drains a bit.
Samsung doesn't pronunce about that, but they know, oh, if they know. But the cure is expensive, and they want to avoid massive recall.
So, this is.
Greetings.
Oh, and someone better than me should investigate why wakelock works. Perhaps, it may help thousands users, around the world.
You have a problem with your EMMC chip!
Just over 2 years old note 4 G model. There are days mine restarts up to 10 times. In a "good" day only 2-3 times. Only gets worse in the last half year. Need a solution.
Problems like these are either hardware or software. Try a clean wipe and then reflash latest stock rom for your device via Odin. Do not install too many other apps, and do not install xposed or root, etc. Keep it basic. If problems go away, then the issue is related to a troublesome app or something that was corrupted on your previous rom installation. If problems persist, then it is likely hardware (which, given the age of the device today, may not be cost effective to fix). Hope this helps.
Mine became almost useless...freezing screen, unresponsive buttons, reboots escalated from 3-4x a day to 9-10x a day, getting stuck on either the Samsung or Sprint boot screen. Push came to shove and I completely formatted and installed the phone back to stock. I can't recall which ODIN flashable version of 6.01 I found, but it worked fine for about half a day...until the phone pushed an OTA update on me. It was like a brand new phone again, but like clockwork I was right back to 3-4 reboots a day... at least it was only that.
So far I'm on day 2 of flashing "Baseband version N910PVPS4DPK1 via ODIN, installed TWRP and then installing a custom Zerolemon mod baked into the stock kernel by @lucasaddon. Give me a full week of heavy usage (I go through an IBESTWIN 10,000mah battery at least every day via streaming while I'm at work, so I've got two of these batteries) and with his permission, I'll share it here.

The best approach so far (if you live in the US) is to send it to the Samsung repair facility in Plano, TX. It will cost anywhere from about $50 to $150 to get it fixed, but they will repair it to like new condition. I did that several months ago and mine still works flawlessly.
Good luck!!!
