Any one else had a Nexus 4 dream yet?
I was in a hotel room in my dream with the Nexus 4 charging on the nightstand. I woke up and the battery had expanded so large inside that the back glass was shattered in half. The phone was bulging and hot. Luckily I woke up to find my phone OK, but it was under the pillow next to me. Screen on. And very warm. Was the NFC calling out to me to unplug it???

Maybe it was the ghost of the missing LTE antennas?
Have you had any other telephonic paranormal experiences?

The tablet was soaked after being in a bag with a leaky bottle. This happend a few months ago and I just had time to take a look at it.
The screen is just white. I can connect it to a TV using HDMI and the touch screen works to operate it. Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, GPS and WiFi work too. Battery chargers and holds a normal charge. Any ideas what would need to be replaced to fix this?
I guess I can sell it to someone who has a broken touch screen or something, or use it as a tv box, but I don't really have a use for that.
Thanks

Very similar thing happened to me yesterday, can of drink burst in my bag (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805971) im gonna say your screen is broken if you cant see anything onscreen, im slowly but surely fixing my screen by sitting the tablet under a 40w lightbulb about 10-15 cm away
My only question is why would you take so long to check it out?

Hi All,
I think I may have to return my Nexus under warranty, I am delighted with it as a tablet but have noticed I am getting blobs appear whenever the background is dark and especially on black backgrounds, I have taken a photo of them with the tablet turned off.

It's probably the oleophobic coating coming off.
I will post a photo to show you what I mean as soon as I am permitted to.
I am surprised many people ever get past 10 posts on this forum having to type the image verification code every time and having to wait 5 minutes between posts and not allowed to post images or links!
Anyone got any ideas now photo is up?

Maybe from your case? My case gets little dust marks on my screen.
No, not dust, I have circled the 4 blobs in orange.

Like I said before, it looks like the oleophobic coating coming off. It's really strange that it would be coming off on a pattern like that... Is there a part of the case that has those 4 dots that could be rubbing on it?
I have something similar with my screen. It looks like a smudge fingerprint on the left side of the screen. I can wipe it off but it always comes back. I've tried soap, lens paper, water but it keeps reappearing after a few hours.

Checked and definitely no pattern like that on the case + when its closed it doesn't touch the screen anyway.

Just thought I would update on this, the problem didn't really get any worse but also didn't resolve so I have recently sent it back to Asus as it was nearing end of warranty period and they have put a brand new screen on now so a good outcome.
Hey XDA!
My Nexus 4 arrived, but it came with a fairly noticeable dead pixel in the center.
I got it RMA'd, but I'm just wondering if this is a widespread issue. Has anyone else gotten dead pixels on theirs too?

Lol yes. The software keeps track of each individual pixels working status and if ones dead it will not show in output. Just like if you have your laptop plugged into a projector and smash the screen in the projector will display the same damage.

RMA it if you can't stand it. Looks like you got a bad one. No issues here on dead pixels.

oh and just so you know here in NZ stock is low but you can still get them easily enough. It's officially stocked by one of our carriers (not modified). The shop I got mine from had 5 in stock.
My 16gb Nexus 4 was all ok until a vertical line of dead pixels appeared few days back. It is only visible on White/Blue background...looks like the pixels are unable to generate Blue.
Will get it RMA'd.
Anyone plan to jog and run with the nexus 7 while playing music. Any suggestions how this can be done?

Iffn it was me I'd use an old phone repurposed into a android media player. Our get a SanDisk Sansa Clip. I have a Clip, and I use my old Droid Charge as a media player.
I put my N7 in a fanny pack when I want it at the end of a hike/walk. But I have not tried running very far with it. Mine is more of a hiking pack, but there are packs aimed at runners, especially ultra-marathoners.

I don't recommend running with your nexus 7 because the larger screen is more likely to break if dropped. With that said I would think some kind of body strap would work best since it would probably be awkward and less secure to run with it on an arm. A silicon case with 2 hole and bungees going through it would probably be the best way to secure it to your body.
If you do decide to go running with your nexus 7 let us know how it went and how you secured it.
I'm 99.99% sure your N7's screen gonna break if it falls face down. So it's better not to run with it if you don't have a plan to get a new one...
Btw the best way to run with it might be to find a back pack like this

Unless you put it in a case. But I'd say if you have that big of a problem with it, take it to the store and exchange it.

Worried because I thought I may have bought one that was returned or the factory workers played football with it
