Iffn it was me I'd use an old phone repurposed into a android media player. Our get a SanDisk Sansa Clip. I have a Clip, and I use my old Droid Charge as a media player.
I put my N7 in a fanny pack when I want it at the end of a hike/walk. But I have not tried running very far with it. Mine is more of a hiking pack, but there are packs aimed at runners, especially ultra-marathoners.
Current: Note 2 - Nexus 7 - Charge
Retired: Player 5.0 - Fascinate

Read twice, flash once

I don't recommend running with your nexus 7 because the larger screen is more likely to break if dropped. With that said I would think some kind of body strap would work best since it would probably be awkward and less secure to run with it on an arm. A silicon case with 2 hole and bungees going through it would probably be the best way to secure it to your body.
If you do decide to go running with your nexus 7 let us know how it went and how you secured it.

I'm 99.99% sure your N7's screen gonna break if it falls face down. So it's better not to run with it if you don't have a plan to get a new one...
Btw the best way to run with it might be to find a back pack like this

Is that a live camera image or just your wallpaper?
Kinda sucks that its not tilted towards the driver.
No build thread? How did you get it installed? Integrate it into the speakers? Is that camera live? Did you leave the factory unit behind the Transformer?
Not a back up cam, if they make it, it will be on it soon.
Its not facing the driver, just in case there are 5 other people in the truck, but I almost did that!
Head unit is above it, the A/C controls were moved below cup holder... will post picks of the whole build once I
get home...
Galaxy tab used to be intalled before and a 10",7" screens before that, so is has been a long going project...

Clean install, major props.
Actually you don't need to turn it towards the driver because the viewing angle is so good on this thing.
looks great.
to tilt maybe something like a tv mount with an arm that ca be extended out..?
(not sure if those exists for something like a tablet)
This looks awesome..
Tilt mount sounds good, I'll try to fabricate a smaller version n see how it works!

White screen after water damage

The tablet was soaked after being in a bag with a leaky bottle. This happend a few months ago and I just had time to take a look at it.
The screen is just white. I can connect it to a TV using HDMI and the touch screen works to operate it. Bluetooth keyboard/mouse, GPS and WiFi work too. Battery chargers and holds a normal charge. Any ideas what would need to be replaced to fix this?
I guess I can sell it to someone who has a broken touch screen or something, or use it as a tv box, but I don't really have a use for that.
Thanks

Very similar thing happened to me yesterday, can of drink burst in my bag (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1805971) im gonna say your screen is broken if you cant see anything onscreen, im slowly but surely fixing my screen by sitting the tablet under a 40w lightbulb about 10-15 cm away
My only question is why would you take so long to check it out?

Why not get a Diztronic or Cruzerlite cheaper with better looks ?
It's just like any other TPU Case... now if it was a D3O case, I would quickly shell out $25.
T-Mobile, better late than never!
The buttons suck on it. I tried it in the store like a week ago.
Mines good its just plain black no logos, buttons work fine here

im a little late here but i bought this case a while ago and i really liked it, i liked the feel and design better than the diztronic, where the screen part is its not as raised and wide like the diztronic is.
With that being said im using the diztronic casue of the prize difference and also cause the buttons weren't that easy to press on the tmobile case, was not horrible but not great.
I have this case have been using for 5 wks now, pretty good design although the buttons are sometimes hard to press, that's why I use slide to unlock. I dropped my nexus face down on solid concrete from about 4ft high with this case on, not a single scratch(;

Thanks, doesn't bother me either, but was wondering if that was the norm

Unless you put it in a case. But I'd say if you have that big of a problem with it, take it to the store and exchange it.

Worried because I thought I may have bought one that was returned or the factory workers played football with it
If it's the norm, I don't care

Best Buy has a test to check your touchscreen!!

Download the Geeksquad app. I watched him run the test in front of me.
It showed a horizontal dead spot one the upper portion of my screen.
I hate to say this guys, but the employees were aware of the problem and told me that they believe it is a hardware problem.
Don't shoot the messenger - It's what I was told.
They took it back outside of the 15 day return window and issued me a full store credit.
I'll wait and see how people like the new LG G Pad.
Good luck!!
Is this the app being referenced?

Could someone please post the apk, its not available in my country

For those in other countries, here is the apk:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/ufx4z87z5l2ecq8/com.androidapplication.geeksquad.gsa.one-1.apk
Thanks for the apk. I just ran the test and all it let's me do is test 5 areas of the screen and multi touch in top third. Am I missing something because I don't see a full screen test.
Same here.

Sorry guys, been at work.
Turn the tablet horizontal and try to drag the screen all the way to the right upwards.....Mine did nothing...
The manager even came and checked it out.....then gave me the nod - YES!!!
I have just completed the touch screen fix and it worked! I also could not complete the Greek squad test holding it horizontally. I had ghost touches, dragging issues and now my touch screen works flawlessly.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
Maybe it is software..... I have no idea, just the opinion of Best Buy employees.
I hope they fix it, I'll still never buy anything from Google or ASUS - terrible service.
They ran from the problem.
If you don't have any daily issues I recommend to not try this app, I don't have any issues overall with my n7 and don't want them either.
Don't look for the issues

Totally agree. I haven't noticed any issues with my N7 and don't want to, haha.
I'm not sure what I'm missing but the app doesn't do anything different when being held horizontally....
