When using tunein radio app over hspa network, WMA streams play for about a minute, then buffer and play repeatedly. This does not happen over WiFi, it does not happen on my wife's nexus s over network connection, or my old sgs2 over network connection. Mp3 streams play normally no matter what connection it is. Any ideas are welcome.

People,
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need an app which streams music, free that is.
Maybe a app from a rom dump from any other device?
Try XaaiLive, great for shoutcast.

I use subsonic, superb app, allows me to access all my music straight from my phone either over 3g if away from home or wifi if at home. Once it downloads to your phone you can choose toeither keep it or just let it over write as needed.
Yep, subsonic works great, well worth a 20 dollar donation.

I second TuneIn Radio. Also try di.fm if your into electronic music. There is also Pandora, Slacker, Last.fm, Spotify. Some of those might not be free depending on your region.
In the past I've used the last.fm app to scrobble, however I didn't often use google music then because of ample storage on my gs2.now I plan to do lots of google music streaming and I can't seem to get the last.fm app to scrobble tracks from play music. Had anyone had success with fixing this or with other apps like scrobble droid?

Update, it actually is scrobbling tracks. Just the notification that it is isn't working

Also it seems to only be working for streamed and not local music.

So whenever I watch a streaming video whether it is using Google play, Netflix, or YouTube app the internet just seems to go in an out. I have downloaded WiFi analyzer and speed test.net apps. Both are showing I have should have no issues streaming videos. Its really frustrating. Is this a known issue or should I get an RMA??

Bump!!!

This problem is likely to be either your router or your ISP. Have you tried testing streaming on a different network?
I don't have access to a different network. The kindle fire I sold to get the nexus 7 had no issues streaming video. Hence why I am concerned with my nexus 7.
U also have access to an iPad that has no issues either.

The problem is the router for sure, use the WiFi analyzer app to find the strongest channel then set your router to that channel, see if this helps and if not send me a message and we will try something else.I had the exact problems so I will take you through each of my steps I did until fixed.

Actually a reset of my router seemed to fix it. Thank god for kittens exploring.

Hi! I've been trying tune in radio but it only works with internet... Does anyone know any app in which we can listen to the radio without internet?

The Nexus 4 does not have a built in AM/FM radio, so no.

Really? Well then thank you very much it's such a shame... Because I've got a limited data plan (500 MB) and streaming radio must use a lot of data...

No it doesn't. It's just that 500 MB is not much data at all. Pandora does 64kbps on the free account. This means you need about 28 MB to stream for one hour. You have 500 so that gives you just under 18 hours of streaming before you hit that cap.

The stock YouTube app just upgraded and whenever I watch a video I get a white square in middle of my N4 screen. Cant figure out how to remove it, probably something simple.

Same problem here. Have you found solution?
Clearing cache and app data won't help.

Do u have chromecast or TV that is connecting to WiFi? When that icons appears that means its streaming on the TV.

I know this is offtopic, but aside from the Connect TV feature, I've completely switched to Viral now.
