I'm on the JB leak. How do you conference call? If I'm on a call and hit "Add Call", I can dial a number and call it. As soon as the other party answers, the original call is no longer available to me and "Add Call" is greyed out - no option to merge.
I call User1 and then i press add call, then i can choose who i want to call, (While User1 is on hold), I then call User2 once User2 Picks up the +Add Call changed into Merge Call, Then i press merge call and they are now all on one line. And the merge button changes back into a Add Call Button.
Using XT907 Verizon w/ Aussie Radio on ICS US T-Mobile
This is not possible on XT907 Verizon Stock Radio JB on EU O2 Student plan (Unless u have Premium Contract)
It works the same as US Tmobile for EU O2 with Premium contract Meaning not a student cheap plan.
So I would asume to check ur plan if it supports Conference call.

Conference Call on EVO 4G Sprint:
The only time I'm allowed to connect two calls if I've dialed both the calls from my phone but I don't get an option to merge received calls. Thus, my question is, how do you make a conference call when you are talking with someone and a third person calls you?
Any help on this matter will be appreciated.
Thanks form
You can't: the only way to make it work is exactly as you describe, you must be the caller on both for the conference to work.
Is there a work around this annoyance? Like an app from the app store or rooting my phone? Does this problem exist with every Android phone or only with Evo 4G?
Incomming CDMA and outgoing CDMA are different. You can only conference outgoing CDMA.
Rather sure this is the same with all CDMA phones. But, I have never tested on any other phone I had with verizon or sprint.
Have you tried Google Voice?
I cant do conference calls using the 3 network. I ring my dad he is also on three. Then I add another caller who is also on three. But when I add the third caller it puts my dad on hold.
Any ideas?
Thats how conference calling works in US. After you have the other person connected, you should see the option to merge calls. Select merge.

I am in UK and using BT/EE as SIM1 and Lyca Mobile as SIM2 on 6T and currently using stock OOS and stock phone/dialler app. Ensured that call waiting is on for both SIMs - checked via going into SIM settings i.e. Dialer -> settings -> Call Settings -> SIM 1 -> Additional settings -> Call waiting is ON and Call forwarding is OFF.
6T being dual SIM active means during a call only 1 SIM is active (so.. this is equal to having 2 smartphones giving the user liberty to engage on one or both calls at the same time).
Anyways, I don't get any notification or beeps to let me know that there's a second call while I am already on one call. Call conferencing functionality would also be limited.
My wife has a OP5T and she has the same issue.
Any experiences, help welcome!
