I was wondering if anyone who owns a Nexus 10 and 3G USB Modem can share with us battery life after connecting the modem using OTG cable and browsing the net.
I would really be pleased if someone would test this if possible and report battery statistics.

Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but I have no idea...
What will give the fastest connection to my laptop to run off of?
Wifi?
Bluetooth?
USB?
The least energy consuming AND fastest would be USB. A wired connection is almost always faster than wireless and in this case uses less power (though your phone will probably start charging off your laptop)
From my experience: USB first, Wifi second, Bluetooth last. I always prefer USB tethering if possible not just for the speed but because it didn't deplete my battery.
i agree.. USB->Wifi->BT.
with the added benefit that USB won't heat up your phone+battery like the other two.
I have an Android car stereo that I can tether using WiFi, Bluetooth, or USB.
WiFi uses a ton of battery so that option is out.
What about Bluetooth versus USB?
Bluetooth uses the least battery, and I can connect it to a car charger allowing the phone to charge at a full 1A (or 2A?) maximum.
USB uses a bit less battery, but I must plug it into the stereo so it will only charge at 500mA.
Does anybody know how much battery USB tethering uses versus Bluetooth tethering?
Bt is a much slower throughput

Even though bluetooth is a slower output, I'd still reccomend it over USB. It's always worked well for me
Hi,
I've been playing with the fast charge option in a few custom kernels I've used. I understand that it disables the data part of the connection so that it can charge at full speed in a USB hub that is attached to another device. Some people say that it also speeds up outlet charging for certain phones, does it also do this on the Nexus 4?
No.
I have an Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 4G, that was draining a lot of battery and overheating. The wifi and bluetooth wasnt working, and in a closer look the IC and some componets were damaged, so i managed to remove the wifi circuit and fix the battery problem.
Is there a plug & play micro usb or usb with otg cable wifi adapter that gonna work? Or do i have to develop and install the driver manually ?
Anyone can think of a simpler solution?
Thanks!
Hey I'm looking for if there is any kernel that supports on the go charging my device and using a flashdrive an the same time. Does anyone know any good quality products
