I'd like to know how the invoice from the EU Play Stores (UK, Germany, France, etc.) looks like, more specifically if it says anything about the VAT. For example, in UK, the 32GB model costs £389. If the VAT is included in this price, the invoice should have a VAT value of £64.83.
I'm asking because I'm an EU VAT registered customer and I'd like to know if I can get a VAT refund. I didn't find anything related in Play Store help, so I thought I'd ask here.
Any help appreciated!
my UK receipt itemises the amount of VAT e.g. " (Includes VAT of £66.50)" but the receipt does not show a VAT registration number (although it does show a FSA register number)

Hi there is a mention of 'VAT included' with the amount on the order confirmation so I am pretty sure you will be able to use that to claim the VAT. Thinking about it I haven't seen an invoice though, just order confirmation, you can probably request one.

Thank you for your answers!
I've just received my invoice and it clearly specifies my VAT number and the VAT amount, so it seems like a perfectly legitimate invoice.

Can you tell me when did they send you an invoice. Was it automatically send or did you have to do something special? I have bought nexus 4 in Germany and it will be delivered within few weeks. What I have received now is order confirmation and in google wallet panel I have payment history. They have never asked me for any invoice data so I had no possibility to specify VAT number.
Thank you in advance

I went to this page, chose 'I want to check shipping/order status' (maybe it also works with 'I'm having purchasing issues', there's no specific option for invoice requesting, so I chose that one), and clicking on 'Contact us via email' at the bottom of the page I arrived at this form. I filled it in just asking for an invoice and providing them with my invoicing details and, later that day, I received the invoice by email. BTW, I did all of this in my country's version of the Play Store, not in English.

Hi mprost
Thank you for your reply.
I have one more question: is that what google calls invoice? (see attachment). They replied on email that this is my invoice. I doubt it, first of all there was no way to specify my invoice data, they only took my delivery data. Second of all email is full of rubbish. Should I print email containing some different information, links, adverts, etc and treat it as an invoice?
Cheers,
meceo

This is the invoice I received (in PDF format):
View attachment 1576643
It's in Spanish, NIF means VAT number, factura -> invoice, tasa -> tax, IVA -> VAT, cliente -> customer. My VAT number is the one that's hidden (it starts with a B...), Google's is N0072508E (take a look at mustafansu's post here).
Cheers,

I also want to order something in the german play store. But i don't live in germany, my uncle does so i will ship to him. Will i be aible to receive an invoice with my company information? Anybody tried this?

Are you prepared to lose your $255 to find out?
Yes it is. I placed a bid and then received this advice from eBay:

Hey guys if anyone was looking to buy any accessories for your HTC Touch Pro. I found this link from MoDaCo that will email you a discount voucher code for Expansys-USA.Com or Expansys.Com. I believe this discount is thanks to MoDaCo.Com if found it from google and thought I would share.
USA: It will give you $14.94 off any accessory purchase over $30.
Europe: It will give you £10 to put towards an order of £20 or more.
Just thought I would share my findings, also it noted that the discount ends on the 30th of November. So you only have a few days left to use the discount.

It says invalid voucher code.

Mine was rejected too. And please dont buy from Expansys. I had so much problem. They never reply to emails. Had to make some international calls to settle and the phone bills is a bomb.
thats wierd, i just ordered 2 items this afternoon and my code worked fine. it was on the USA site, i dont know if it matters where you live? Also Expansys is the same company that processes orders for the HTCAccessoryStore.Com i dunno if most of you know that. They are coming from the same company that HTC uses for their official accessory store.

I ordered an item from expansys on nov 11th. Website said "instock" on it. Got a conformation email from both paypal and expansys for the item the next day. I even checked expansys's website 2 days after my order and that item still showed "instock". 3 days after that they (expansys) send me an email that its out of stock but will ship now on nov 24th. Today is the 25th and no notice or anything from them. They also have not replyed to my emails. What a way to do business.

I ordered the Celio Corp's Redfly on 19Nov. The payment was made through bank transfer the following day. In the order confirmation email a Singapore/Hongkong/UK phone numbers were given. I called the Singapore phone number on Monday 24Nov but it was perpetually engaged. I managed to get through to the Hongkong number on Tuesday (yesterday). At that point I was then informed that I short paid by UKL12.00 which was not made clear in the order form (at the web-site). Meanwhile a number of emails was sent to the Singapore/Hongkong/UK offices. None was ever responded. I finally request for cancellation through e-mail at the same time asked how long would they take to process. Untill this moment no one cares to respond.
Expansys is not only unethical but very unprofessional.
Another interesting issue is that it costs differently for the same item if ordered from their various web-sites (UK/Europe, or Singapore, Hongkong.) STRANGE!!
I will never get anything from expansys ever again.
i always get my stuff from expansys. no problems yet - and i mainly use the uk one and they ship it to australia - uselly in 2-3days which is awesomly quick
Another eXpansys Horror Story
Ordered 2 items from eXpansys-USA last week. One item showed over 1600 in stock and the other showed over 200 in stock. They both stated "This product is at our central warehouse and should be shipped in 3 working days".
When I checked my order status the next day it indicated both items were out of stock. The item descriptions were correct but if I clicked on the link for either one they took me a page that stated "Product not found or is not available in this region". I also noted the item number in both links were not the item numbers I ordered. When I went to the correct pages for the items I had actually ordered they still showed plenty of stock.
At this point I emailed them and finally got a reply 3 days later in which it was stated "The unit is in transit from our central warehouse and will ship later this week." I sent a reply asking what that statement meant and asking if they ship FROM their central warehouse TO the customer or what. So far no reply and I really don't expect one.
Based on this experience, and quite a few similar "reviews" I read here and elsewhere, it appears this is typical of them. It is very unlikely that I will order from them again. A first time customer has pretty much become a last time customer.
if your order is delayed, like my tv out cable, just call and they will at least give you free priority shipping...... a whopping 5 bucks!
Hi everyone,
Like a lot of people, I'm totally in love with The N1
I live in Belgium and I'm looking for a solution to have this little baby near me !
First question for those who already have the N1 in their pocket: Can you tell me the exact dimensions of the packet delivered by the postal service ?
I mean... not only the Nexus's box, all the package, also the weight ?
Second question: Can someone send me a Nexus One to Belgium ^^ ? from UK or US LOL, pay for it for sure !
thx in advance
JooL
Check PM
Someone else for answers ?
I would also like the know the dimensions of the box it ships in.
I'm also interested, can you post answers in the topic itself?
I've registered for a USA post address with http://www.myus.com. There you can get an address in Florida. Make sure you fill that address in as your default shipping address in Google Checkout.
After that, find a USA-based proxy server that supports https, fill in the details in your browser's proxy settings and proceed to the Nexus One ordering page. That was all it took for me (based in the Netherlands)
I've ordered my Nexus One on Jan. 6 and I've just been informed that it arrived on my address in Florida. MyUS will now ship it to me in the Netherlands.
Please note that creating an account with MyUS costs $10 initially, and because the address is in Florida, Google will charge Florida sales tax (about $36). Also, MyUS will charge about $60 to send the package to your actual address in Europe.

What did you do with the declared value? Possible to write it down or send as gift? Otherwise it would be cheaper to wait when the phone is released in each country with adherent warranty.

No, no tricks with declared value. Just cough up the 19% VAT here in Holland I'm afraid. But we'll see that when it arrives here, probably next week. Total costs including tax in the Netherlands will be about 550 euros I estimate.
Of course it will probably be cheaper to wait, but hey... I want it NOW!
Guys I might have a brand new nexus for sale pretty soon and I am willing to ship it to europe just to cover my costs as I don't want to be stuck with 2 phones.
I am not looking at making a profit just whatever I get charged + shipping to europe.
If anyone is interested PM me.. I should be expecting delivery of the second phone by around wednesday next week.

Of course every individual has to decide for themself, based on the %'s to be paid in their country. I can only talk for the Netherlands, and here it's 19%.
In Norway there are 25% completely ****t

Just for the ones that are not in the EU (customs duty is 0%).
You can use a service like Borderlinx and and IP changer like Hotsporshield to order your N1 via an address in the US to your address in Belgium or whereever in the world
I just declared mine as a GIFT and the price only $335 USD to avoid paying taxes. This is my first time doing such a thing but I've heard it's common. So hope everything works out, no insurance.
Juse use bongous.com you won't have to pay any sale tax ! They are based in Connecticut.
the "trick" send package with gift mention don't work anymore, or very few times...
too much people used that, now they're watching carefully.
Nevertheless, I hope urs will arrive with no extra costs or duty
I wait for daleski's proposal, I think it's a good thing
Can order 1 more for someone in Belgium (PM for more info's).

To me it looks to good to be true.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...
investing the time and effort into building up the feedback rating (whether legitimately or not) will pay off if he receives even just 2 or 3 orders from suckers who are prepared to believe this and order 2 phones each (notice you cannot order 1). After that, he won't care if eBay cancel his membership especially as he probably has a few accounts like this lined up...
Note that:
- nothing he has sold before was similar or close in value to the phone (although most items made private so you can't actually see what they are)
- he seems to specialise in pin badges... what are the chances he would have a stock of S4?
- you have to be pre-approved? what does that involve? I bet when you email him he asks you NOT to pay by paypal but by western union or something for some reason... typically this goes like this: "I'm doing this pre-approval because I have been let down by scammers/people bidding and then not having the funds. To approve you, I need to be sure that you have the funds, so send a western union order to yourself. YOu are not sending it to me, so it's safe, right? Then email me a scan of the order and I will know that you are a serious buyer". Once you send the email, it takes someone in a third world country 5 minutes to create ID in your name and collect the money from a (probably complicit) Western Union agent.
- No collection because he doesn't keep the stock for "security and reliability" but he can dispatch them daily?
Not many people fall for these scams(I hope)... but like i said, he only wants one or two to be in a considerable amount of profit.

how can he make profit cos its paypal so ill get refunded. so where would he make money i dont understand
when i sent him e mail he replied as below
Hi,
Quick info about my items:
- 100% factory unlocked, 100% genuine Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 in original sealed boxes. I have both colors: White and Black.
- I have EU, UK and US version of the phone with 64GB. You can use them in any country with any sim card.
- The phones are bought directly from factory and also this is the reason why the prices are low. They all have 1 year international warranty.
- I can send them with DHL, FedEx, UPS, Royal Mail or your preferred shipping company. The items are sent from my warehouse in Glasgow.
- Free Customs. That is right... Free Customs. I gathered a lot of experience sending items internationally and Customs are not a problem anymore.
- As you can see in my description: Pickup is not available at this time as i do not hold stock on hand for security and reliability reasons.
- I will provide IMEI and custom photos ONLY after i have payment confirmation from eBay.
Minimum order is 2 (no exceptions). My stock is greater than 20 and also you will get great discounts for bulk orders. How many phones do you want ?
Thanks
so i replied to him asked
Dear Clark,
why do i need imei number? will i get receipt for warranty, another question how have you got this phones they should be out by end april. cos i dont want replica mind you im using paypal. can you clarify those questions
kind regards

just recieved mail from seller i cant understand much english is this a cheat?
here his e mail
They are out for sale in April but the stores already have them. Some buyers asked for IMEI so i`m including that info.
In order to complete this transaction we will use eBay payment process through eBay Buyer Protection.
How it works?
Once i start the transaction, eBay will send you an invoice with payment instructions.
Through this system the buyer pays eBay and not the seller. You will send the money to eBay by Bank Transfer. After you confirm your payment with eBay, i will receive a notification to start the delivery.
Delivery maximum time is 6 days and you have 7 days of inspection. The inspection period starts once you have the items. This means you have 7 days to decide whether i get the money or not.
In case the items are not as i described them, the transaction is canceled and eBay will send your money back in 24 hours. If they are as i described them, the transaction is completed and i will get the money from eBay.
I found this the best way to deal through eBay instead of Paypal. Also you can actually see and test my items before i get the money.
I had problems with Paypal payments made from stolen accounts and now everything i get through Paypal, even if it`s a good payment it`s frozen in seconds. Paypal is not an option for me anymore.
Let me know if you like this method.
Thanks

I'm not sure the reps know what they are talking about. I printed the RMA on Oct 01. for a full refund. I didn't use Moto credit.
I dropped off the phone at a FedEx office on the 7th. I got this email yesterday.
FYI, the misspelling of order, the blank space after Dear is all Moto using their auto generated mail(Note - This message was automatically generated from an unmanned mailbox PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO SENDER).
And they used my shipping address in that email, not my billing one. It appears their cust svc dept may not be the best in the biz, lol, so just mail it as soon as you can :fingers-crossed: !
Edit: After they sent the link to the free shipping label I used Chrome's "save to pdf" feature.
This way I was able to email it to a friend so she could print it for me.
