Is there any particular app you're talking about?
If yes, then please tell the name the app.
If no, then maybe you need to clear your launcher's cache (of there's an external one).

i think its cuz of lowmemkiller

And why would you wanna go to cwm to clear cache
Just use an app for that
It depends on lot of factor.. its hard to say.. if you have too many background running type apps this might happen.. try a app which shows background running processes.. quick system info pro does this.. which is also free

I fixed it. Cleaned Data and Cash from Market. But first I cleaned Cash and Dalvik cash trough CWM.
Seems like it is working now.

As I understand it is not a ROM. It is the Market 2.2.11

how many apps do you have installed? that seems crazy.. even with the latest market. Just testing it now, (and I have about 100 apps), the names come up immediately, and the icons appear in about 10 seconds. (DK28, EXT4).
Next time try go back and toggle filter all, download and u see icons and apps right away.

Noticed one more thing. I've had setInstallLocation 2 (external) and with Market 2.2.11 it was "Computing..". I couldn't update some of the apps I have. After I've changed setInsyallLocation to 0 apps installed. No more "Computing...".

Apps making your phone run faster!

Here are some I use please suggest! Will update OP everytime a person suggests. Please suggest paid if you think its worth it.
Free- CacheCleaner NG (cachemate $1.99 cleans the same so I prefer this free over paid)
Free- AutoMemKiller
$1.99- SetCPU
Free- LauncherPro
Free- Zeam (for more memory) (thanks bartek25)
.96ยข- Autostarts (thanks s15274n)
Sent from my Axura Vibrant using XDA App
Memkiller will not help performance. The others are quite good however.
thanks for your review
i agree with other apps, but how does launcher pro make it run faster? lol
Not really faster, but more accessible I guess? Better user experience over touchwiz.

yep gotcha. I use launcher pro as well
but zeam launcher will make your phone eat less memmory resources , you should try . anything eye candy eats ram.
Than they should have more ram, eyecandy is fun and it sells phones. BTW I'm using NG. Seems to find more cache than Cache Cleaner which I used for years.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.

Its also more simpler
Cachemate has a bunch of options and you would think having more options would mean more cachecleaned but no

How do I delete unwanted apps from nook cm7

Just wondering how I can remove messaging, phone, and camera from my girlfriends nook on cm7 running from sd card. I cant find the system apps bookmark like I can on any other phone/tablet
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
Answer.
To bring that back, you hold on the screen, tap on Launcher Actions, tab Open/close App Drawer, and there you go! Access to your apps, where you can delete them!
Thanks for the answer but I meant delete them permanently from the nook. The phone app just wastes battery and since you cant message and take pics she wants em gone

If you are rooted I would suggest installing TI (Titanium Backup-free) and freeze the app. Sometimes nuking out apps that have interdependency can create problems. Freezing the app in TI should accomplish what you desire safely.
I believe the phone app was proven to not use the battery?
Like cell standby and phone idle under battery use was false.
Oh thanks to the both of you ill do the titanium backup thing but does it remove it from the app drawer?

Gosh. Been a while since I froze an app. I don't believe so. But as it's frozen, unless you have a butt-load of apps and scrolling through them is an issue, it really shouldn't matter. IMO.
Well to me it doesnt matter but my girlfriend is just ocd enough to care lol

My wife is the same way, and was getting irritated that they were in her way. I ended up installing Go Launcher EX and then was able to create a Folder in the App Drawer called SYSAPPS. I put all the unwanted system apps in there and they were out of her way. Cleaned the app drawer up nicely. Not sure if another launcher will do that, but knew Go Launcher could. She likes it now.

Using LauncherPro, you can hide any app you want. Just go
"Preferences->General Settings->Hidden Apps", choose the ones you want to hide, tap "save" and they're out of your way.
No need to go through switching launchers. or creating new catalogs. if you freeze them with titanium backup, they will disappear from the app drawer.
Don't turn off google talk, even if you don't use it. google talk must be working in order for the market to function. some other apps, if they arent installed, will filter the availability of certain apps in the market, although I am not sure if that is effected by freezing or not.
On a side note, I have read the threads about the telephone and message apps supposedly not effecting battery life, and they do spins reasonable, but I an beginning to question if theyv are right. I definitely have processes related to unused phone apsa running on my nook using memory.
The android.telephony process is shown to be running in several running apps lists, and is using 2.3 MBA of ram. I am just starting to wonder, is all...
I use both methods mentioned previously. Organize my app drawer using Go Launcher and freeze, as well as backup apps with Titanium. It's also well worth the money if you like to try different roms or tinker but don't want to loose your apps or their data.

Or AntTek App Manager, free.
You can natively freeze them with ICS, in your app drawer (stock TW Launcher) drag the app icon to app info, and click disable
I removed them. No need to freeze if your plan on not using them. Free up internal space.

From your app drawer, click and hold on the program you want, and it should take you to your home screen....at the top you should see "App Info". Drag the app icon onto that and it'll display the info you need.

hrmm...maybe it's because I haven't had my morning tequila shot yet but I don't see any such app info icon when I do what you're saying. I go to the app drawer, click and hold an app, it takes me to the home screen, but there's nothing anywhere that says app info.
Could this be something that's not on the ATT version of the phone?
::edit:: ok...I'm an idiot. I found it....but it's at the bottom of the screen, not at the top.
I just disabled them except for samsung account which I use for Samsung Dive.

I had to uninstall updates and then disable became an option.
Using the app info method works great if you are not rooted.
In the event you are rooted, using TB is easier. both work without any issues for all listed apps in the op.

Do you need to be rooted to do this?

No sir. You can do this with most of the pre-installed carrier software. I believe the option is "disable". When you see it you'll know what I mean. In fact it was the one thing that made me think that I wouldn't have to root my phone. Then I quickly got annoyed by the T-Mobile startup and shut down sounds. Can someone please tell T-Mobile to leave the standard start up and shut down sequence alone. I mean expect that from Verizon; Have you heard any of their phones start up? They're crazy obnoxious.
Great feature! You can also go to settings-applications-all and do or that way. Just uninstall updates and then you will have the disable button. Thanks for the top all.

Did u reboot after wiping data of those apps? And maybe u can wipe data for settings.apk and launcher as well. (don't know, never had this myself as I've been always been rooted on my phones)
Try an other Launcher beside the Sony Home like Apex, Nova etc.
Use this as default, reboot.
