[Q] Cyanogen build possible - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I just spotted this https://plus.google.com/+CyanogenMod/posts/5bKGvBLFvMf
People with the know how - is it possible to build a CM rom out of this yet and if so any plans to do so?
I literally cannot wait to be back on CM - Being stuck on stock android with my previous phone made me miss it so bad.

[Q] Stock rom

Hi there!
For the mytouch 4G phone from t-mobile, it doesn't come with vanilla android (the stock android O.S).
So, once rooted, is it possible to flash it with the Stock Android 2.2 O.S? That does not have T-mobile's junk? If so, where or how can I find it?
I came upon several links, but wasn't certain. Also, what does it mean by RUU rom?
thanks!
I have no idea what RUU to be honest, never used one but I think it's the factory image that's used to bring phone back to stock, not sure if there's one for MT4G
There's no official vanilla 2.2 rom for this phone. The closest thing you can have is CyanogenMod. 2.2.1 is in RC2 stage and is very stable. 2.3 (gingerbread) is in unofficial alpha stage. It's very stable (as far as people say) but has it's bugs and there no official support from CM for it, only community. All other roms out there are sense based. All roms are in Development section.
Obviously, you need to be rooted to flash any of those.
Good luck.
RUU = ROM Upgrade Utility. It is essentially the rom that ships with the phone. You are correct in saying there is no true vanilla Android ROM. OP's best bet is to go with CM as you suggested as it is Vanilla Android with some features added and closest to pure android you're going to get.

[Q] CyanogenMod 9

Hello guys.
Is possible to have android 4.0.4 on our tattoo?
I know that rallapag has made CynogenMod 9 and i saw wildfire has new version ported from lg p350.
Is it possible use something from that rom to improve rallapag version or maybe make some new version, and if there is possibility how can i help.
Thanks.
As mentioned previously by someone mainly arco68..there is no GPU on the Tattoo so there is no way...it is just too slow.
The EOL shall be on 2.3.7 on CyanogenMod 7...which is fast enough for daily use

[Q] help with CM mod nightly

hey guys, i've been on a rooted stock JB 4.1 for awhile now and im very happy with it so far. But does anybody here have the latest CM mod nightly build? If so, is it worth it to flash it? my few questions are
1. what are the main bugs and issues have you found?
2. should i upgrade to the nightly build or wait a little longer?
3. what are the new features?
4. any major benefits from CM mod nightly?
As you can see, since my note 10.1 is rooted, it already works wonders for me... so is everyone happy with the current CM mod nightly build?

stock features on CM11??

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum.
I've ordered my G2 which is expected to come next week.
I see that LG G2 stock has lot of good features but teams like Cynogenmod keep up with the speed of Google releasing latest version of Android. I was wondering if anyone has taken Cynogenmod and added features from stock rom to it.
If not, how diffcult is that? Is it as easy as getting those apk and installing or they need compiling build with specific options or specific kernal features to get them working.
