I see there is a multi select option but still requires me to tap on each one of the photos?

I'm planning to move some pictures into my tablet through USB to view in the gallery.
What directory should I save the pictures under? Any default locations? Thanks!

I put mine under the pictures folder in the SD card. Picked them up immediately as I opened gallery.

The stock gallery will pick up any pictures in folders on the /sdcard. In the gallery, the folder name will be the name of the folder that the pictures are in (intuitively). However, the gallery will not pick up hidden folders (folders that start with a period-- i.e. . )
Take a screen shot to double check where they end up. It *should* be dcim

Have you tried to uninstall and re-install "Google Play Music" from the market?
Otherwise go to Settings > Apps and clear App Data
Tried to do both( uninstall updates and clear data) however is not working

Connect phone to a PC and check for music and artwork cache folders under Android folder.
Remove them, disconnect phone, restart phone and try again.
Is the music on the phone, or in the cloud?
My music is in the storage. Ill try that method when i get home

I think the folders are;
Internal Storage\Android\data\com.google.android.misic
Internal Storage\Android\data\com.android.providers.media\albumthumbs
If you still have issues, then move (not copy) all the Music files to your PC and check the ID3v2 tags in Windows Media Player or iTunes.
Some tag editors may change more than just the album art. Fix them there, then move them back, or get a Google Music account and upload them to the cloud. You can edit the tags in the cloud with a desktop browser as well. I have more than 11,000 songs in the cloud and less issues than when I only kept a small number on my phone.
Also its label .mpga instead of .mp3

Hi, how to force scan videos on the sd card to see them on the stock video player ???
Sent from my GT-N8010 using XDA Premium HD app
when use use an app for the first time it will ask you what to use to open the file. i use quickpic to scroll through videos and then when you click to view it asks what you want to view the video. click 'Video Player' and then click 'always' and that will be the default. if you already set a default you can change it by going to settings-->application manager then click the software you use to view the files and then click 'clear defaults'.

if it has not scanned when you pull the usb cable you can force it to scan by unmounting from settings then take it out and put it back in. this forces a scan.
I would like to create a ringtone however any song I purchased on Google music is not available on my storage. Any way I can access it so I can create one?

Look through your files with a file managing app and move it to a mother music folder. I don't know if you'll even find it because I haven't tried. But I'd like to know a 100 percent legit option too

No luck with that bud

you need to be rooted and need a file browser that can access root folders
got to data/data/com.google.android.music/files/music
they don't have proper names or date accessed info so if you have lots of files like me... good luck

You can download google music manager on your pc and download your library. Then copy and paste to your s4. If you look for the songs in root explorer they show up as numbers if I remember right.

Find the song in your music player and click the pin button beside it.
That saves it to your phone. Done.
If you want use an app to make it a ringtone make sure you have root and use root explorer or anything root capable file explorer and navigate to data -> data -> com.google.android.music -> files -> music -> (artist/album)
Copy that file to your default Music folder that doesn't require root and wella any ringtone app should be able to find it.
OR
do as someone else suggested and download it to to your computer from Google Play Music then manually copy it over
I have some albums on my eternal sd and it's not showing them in the player pro app.
I've tried the suggested solution of clearing the data and cache but it's still working? any ideas.

Have you rescan or select the folder that the albums are in?
I have and I can get them to play thro the player but then when I re start the app they are not there and I have to do it all over again. Plus it doesn't show album covers either.
