Any chance to display the company and position information of a contact in the incoming call screen?
Cant live without this feature as I have too many different clients.

This is my first post, so I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all the support you guys have offered here, this place is probably the most informative source for working on these blasted devices.
I had a question about TAPI, cprog.exe and a couple of applications that are floating around out there. I have noticed a couple applications that appear to "call filter" calls. I was wondering what the basics is for this to work? The applications appear to be independent of cprog.exe but yet claim to control its behavior. The only TAPI call I can find that seems to be relevant is lineSetCallBarringState() but I'm not convinced that would do it... any ideas?

I think you probably want lineDrop (or lineRedirect?). You can call lineDrop in the lineCallBackFunc, after you receive lineOffering message.

After you get the ID you can drop the call if you don't like it
Thank you to all the developers on this site. It has answered already most of my queries that I had upon receiving my new HTC Diamond 2.
I am very happy with the device and using some of the tweaks and programs the phone is now nearly set up exactly how I want it.
However there is one feature that I think is missing. As standard the HTC D2 will allow a call to be rejected and a standard text message be sent. But this will be sent to all callers.
I do not want to spend money sending a sms to cold callers for example. Just wondering if it would be possible to create an application that could expand on the standard function.
Some ideas for the app would be:
Send sms only to contacts in the address book that are included in a catergory or multiple catergories.
Send a different sms depending on the catergory of the contact.
Set up profiles to define the reason for not answering call, eg in meeting, driving, sleeping etc
Of cause the above list is not exhaustive.
Would like peoples opinions on this function and whether some one would be able to create. I would of course offer to test the app. Sorry do not have the current skills to create the app.

Normally I would have just deleted your thread because you posted it in Development. But being in law enforcement myself I can understand how annoying getting false alarms all the time. So I took the honors of moving this to General.
Be post all questions in the General catagory.

Is there any way to display other details like comapny's name along with name & number in incoming calling screen. I remember it was possible in cm6.

Truecaller or Mr. Number might be what you are looking for. I have yet to find one that has a completely comprehensive lookup history of new callers.
If you already have that caller in your address book, then CallApp does a nice job of showing things like GMail updates, Facebook updates, etc.
So my girl has a few guys in her frequently contacted log and she claims she hasn't talked to them! Is it possible that a contact be on that list and she not have talked to them? Also how recent is the log and how many times would one contact a person in order for them to appear on the frequently contacted list? Please let me know I feel like she is lying to me!
The contact log basically just keep track of incoming , outgoing or missed call ...
So there's no chances of phone number appearing there without without you knowing. ...
However if it was someone spoofing your phone number , it would not have been logged
And If you reach out to a person multiple time over a specific amount of time they will be listed in your frequently contacted.
However If they reach out to you they won't be listed until you reply to them or otherwise make an attempt to reach them. :highfive:

As long as you don't remove them
guys my life is on the line here, my wife thinks im cheating on her as there is a number of gurl in my frequently contacted list, my devise is samsung s dous grand, i didnt call this number at all, but the same number called me few times but i didnt take the call, its showing in my list at the bottom,
while at the same time there is many number that i call and many number that they call me are not showing in the list, PLZ GUYS i need clear answer about the mechanism of this **** list

The list only shows all incoming and out going calls even if you didn't answer all calls are there as long as you din't remove them
If there is a number call you and you don't want him to call you or even if not show in this list , block his/her number
