So my girl has a few guys in her frequently contacted log and she claims she hasn't talked to them! Is it possible that a contact be on that list and she not have talked to them? Also how recent is the log and how many times would one contact a person in order for them to appear on the frequently contacted list? Please let me know I feel like she is lying to me!
The contact log basically just keep track of incoming , outgoing or missed call ...
So there's no chances of phone number appearing there without without you knowing. ...
However if it was someone spoofing your phone number , it would not have been logged
And If you reach out to a person multiple time over a specific amount of time they will be listed in your frequently contacted.
However If they reach out to you they won't be listed until you reply to them or otherwise make an attempt to reach them. :highfive:
HoW long do the numbers stay in frequently contacted log?

The list only shows all incoming and out going calls even if you didn't answer all calls are there as long as you din't remove them
If there is a number call you and you don't want him to call you or even if not show in this list , block his/her number

maybe you can try to set time and date on your phone to the date of you fake call and call (just call and hang up) the number you want...

I imagine having an alibi... Darling I called you, but you didn't took the call...
I will certainly have to remember this trick! There has been a many times this would have proved handy
Hmmmm, good that I dont need an alibi like that....
+ If I would say: "Yes honey I tried to call you 4am before I went to the afterparty, see my call history" she would probably tell me that she doesnt believe me anyway or that I should have sended smoke signals etc...
But there is a call duration entry. Meaning, that the call would only last <15 seconds.
Changing the time on the phone would work for your personal call history but not the official call history that shows on your phone bill.
As a father, I check my kid's phone calls and minutes semi-regularly by logging on to T-Mobile and viewing their recent activities.
Now, chances are if you need this for an alibi for a GF or some other friend it will work. If you need this for a more serious alibi, it's not going to work if the person has any way of checking the official carrier records.
Don't know about anybody else but if i make a call that isn't answered by anything, be it a person, ansaphone or voicemail, then the call duration in the call log is 00:00 and it never shows on my phone bill. The only way to prove that type of call was made would probably require access to the mobile operator's logs themselves which most of us don't have.
i have one problem in my vivo v3 . call log is not displaying in proper order.i dont know what to do.it is just scrumbled
omg.... thank you google!!! this might of just saved me $700 for late cancelling fees! miracle workers you are all saints!
when i go into the contacts menu, choose a contact and press the number to dial, instead of going straight into dialing mode which it did before the rogers update, it now displays the number when clicking the number in which i have to press call, a whole extra step. Any ways to fix this?
i thought it should seen as a improvement?
now you can now always edit before call , previously you need to call first and edit the number from call list
Does it for me too, but as a lot of my contacts have two numbers I prefer it as I don't always tap the right number.

There are two problems I have discovered with GV and Sprint number integration that you should know about before you switch, because it's a pain to turn this feature off (as I just did.)
If you need to use any service that must call you, and you must enter digits on the phone, it won't work. There's a problem with GV where if the other person starts the call to you, DTMF signals from your end are too distorted to register with any equipment that reads them.
Second, GV has a call record feature that is toggled by hitting the number 4. When it is toggled it announces to both you and the other person that the call is being recorded. This doesn't sound like a bad thing at first, but note that it can be triggered accidentally depending on you or the other person's voice through a phenomenon called talkoff. Talkoff is when a human voice mimics a DTMF signal for a very short time, but long enough to trigger some equipment to interpret it as a key press. The equipment that google uses is susceptible to this. When it is accidentally triggered, have fun explaining to the other person why they just heard the message "this call is being recorded."
More information about this problem can be found here: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/voice/thread?tid=7e30f066f09baf68&hl=en
Curious as to what you mean bye your first point... could you give an example of what kind service would cause this..
Sorry if this is a dumb question lol

Like say you need an online bank to verify your phone number, they'll have an automated system that calls you, and then has you input a number to verify you own the phone number, when you do this it won't be able to recognize the numbers you key in.

This call record feature... this works at any time by hitting 4? How does that work if you are navigating a DTMF menu?
From the linked forum post it looks like the call record feature does not activate if you call out so hitting 4 in a calling tree would allow you to navigate. Haven't tried it myself but from reading the link it looks to be true.

That's odd, I have had to do this with several companies and never once had a problem..
I apologize if this issue is somewhere in this forum. I've been searching for the better part of an hour and I haven't found anything close, to the issue that I'm having.
Problem: when I send a text message to multiple contacts, for some reason, all of the phone numbers for people in the list, show up as part of the phone number, for the last person on the list from that point forward. For example, suppose that I send a tm to Joe, Mary and Sam. Their phone numbers are 222-222-2222, 333-333-3333 and 999-999-9999, respectively. When I get a reply from Sam (who's the last person on my list of recipients), the msg shows up as being from "222-222-2222;333-333-3333;+1999-999-9999". Note that the +1 has been added only to the last number.
The first time that this happened, I had to delete the contact record for the last person on the list (Sam in this example), turn off the device, restart and manually enter a new contact record. Now that process doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No one encounter this before?
Not me. Looks strange. Did you update any phone settings? Try resetting your phone if you didn't do any update in phone setting.

i do have the same problem! was on 4.3 and had the same problem! i though that its silly to ask and waited for the official update but now m on 4.4.2 kitkat and the same problem persists! it is annoying when you have to make a call in urgent and you have to find the number from a huge list! it sucks!
