You need to use the search function before you post... forum rules.
Don't create a new post before you search to see if your question has already been answered..
I typed "Screen Shot" in the search funtion and found this in about 10 seconds..

I am getting 404 Error!! Better check and then reply!!
Anyways if u know anything then reply, don't act over-smart!!
Is your phone rooted? If it is, you can use an app called ShootMe

These kinda answers are really starting to be annoying....the same questions get asked over and over and over on every single forum there is out there regardless if there is a search button or not people will still ask....so get over the fact that there is a search bar and accept the fact that people will still ask questions. 99.9% of people are aware there is a search bar but dont give two ****s about it and rather ask the questions in there own way.
If you dont have a decent answer to help someone out, then just ignore the thread.
Yeah..just help if u want or just ignore..
Anyways i have found some apps but all for 'Rooted Phones'..
Not working on my X10i

I'm not being "smart".. I'm educating you in the forum rules..
read this.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=678156
and read the post I pointed you to (which is the only way you can screen shot without root permissions.)..
Then, if you want, you can apologise.

The gigantic search bar at the top of the screen means nothing to you...?
Mann im so sick of these ppl, Bit**ng about dont post this, dont post that, this has already discussed. What the hell man? If you have such a pain in your rear end to reply the damn question, then don't bother and ignore the question. What annoys me the most is that you all have time to input your stupid comments and bring the guy down by pointing at the forum rules but you wont have the nerve to actually help him out. . You guys kill me, so pathetic.

Not able to thank from XDA app or Tapatalk but if you are on a browser and at XDA-developers.com then at the bottom of the post you want to thank, there is a THANKS QUOTE MULTI-QUOTE QUICK REPLY series of buttons.

Change your view of the site to the XDA 2010 version in the bottom right hand corner of the page. Then, you should see a thanks button next to the quote of posts like this one
i miss the old look of the site...
If you are using the xda app, the easiest way is to hit menu - browser. That will open the current thread in the browser, which has a thank button on the bottom of every post.
Don't forget the donate button. ;-)

Change it at the bottom right to XDA classic, and bam! Old site
I thought I read you had to have like 5 or 10 posts before you could use the thanks button.
Thanks, I see it now.
is this a free rep thread?
After post 1 thread, you will probably see that button.

You've been here for two years and this is your first post..... Congrats =]
P.s. I think this question was answered a while ago.... but at least you searched lmao
But what if I am really a newbie and nothing to share/ask as a thread?
There is no "thanks" button per se, so just start a new thread preferably in the development section saying "thanks" to your favorite dev. You can also do this when you are dis pleased. We sub genniuses like to call this a "no thanks" thread. We kmake these usually on Friday because because it starts with an f, witch is what you should be trying to imply, as in f.u.

Reply should work as well!
If you are on tapatalk or xda app you have to switch to browser view to see it. It is right next to quote multi-quote quick reply buttons at the bottom of someone's post.
I still can't find the 'thanks' button

Modems and call quality

To the moderators

Hi,
I just want to say that when anyone tries to search any topic by proper as searching terms with long enough words, on an app like tapatalk or xda,
It shows more than hundreds of results...
Than how it's possible to find proper thread or post?
Moderators should consider this problems before closing the threads...
It's not possible to check over 900 posts and same range of threads after using proper and long searchung terms...
Thanks...
And sorry for this post...

Try different search terms or condense the post. Or try searching in specific threads.

Yes. Don't use the app search. It searches the whole xda.

There will be a justifiable reason. Besides its in the rules to search before hand. Use the website to search, not the app

The search function is not functioning properly. So? That's only one bug. Is it that hard to use the website to search? You can even search on your mobile phone. Let me teach you. Your chosen browser>xda website>go to desired forum>login>search this forum>key in desired search terms

Hey I've posted a thread dedicated to our galactic twins...
Please read and post your thoughts...
And ya its not a funny time pass...
Please think about it
from flame of the PHOENIX
ofcourse, you type in one word and it will show you 900 answers, you need to learn how to use search then.. and for that.. you need to read as well!!
Dont push it!!!!

Thanks button

Hello everyone I wanted to make this thread just to tell everyone that there is a thanks button so use it. It doesn't cost any money lol. People need to stop writing thanks and just hit that thanks button. It drives me crazy :banghead: seeing this and I don't feel like telling people this every time. So please everyone if someone helps you thank them by clicking the thanks button that was placed there for this reason

If you write something helpful that deserves a thanks, someone will hit the thanks button. If they don't, that's just the way it goes. It's not important, and certainly didn't need a thread started about it.
Well sorry about that I guess you guys are right it just makes me crazy when people write thanks and don't press thanks instead. Is there a way to delete a thread because I'll remove this. I realized it was pointless.
