Not able to thank from XDA app or Tapatalk but if you are on a browser and at XDA-developers.com then at the bottom of the post you want to thank, there is a THANKS QUOTE MULTI-QUOTE QUICK REPLY series of buttons.

Change your view of the site to the XDA 2010 version in the bottom right hand corner of the page. Then, you should see a thanks button next to the quote of posts like this one
i miss the old look of the site...
If you are using the xda app, the easiest way is to hit menu - browser. That will open the current thread in the browser, which has a thank button on the bottom of every post.
Don't forget the donate button. ;-)

I thought I read you had to have like 5 or 10 posts before you could use the thanks button.
Thanks, I see it now.
is this a free rep thread?
After post 1 thread, you will probably see that button.

P.s. I think this question was answered a while ago.... but at least you searched lmao
But what if I am really a newbie and nothing to share/ask as a thread?
There is no "thanks" button per se, so just start a new thread preferably in the development section saying "thanks" to your favorite dev. You can also do this when you are dis pleased. We sub genniuses like to call this a "no thanks" thread. We kmake these usually on Friday because because it starts with an f, witch is what you should be trying to imply, as in f.u.

Reply should work as well!
If you are on tapatalk or xda app you have to switch to browser view to see it. It is right next to quote multi-quote quick reply buttons at the bottom of someone's post.
I still can't find the 'thanks' button

I found the same .xml file referenced in that post but can't find where it says T-Mobile. I also have been searching thru all the other xml's with no luck. I can't tell if the phone is dependent on service for it to display Tmo or not. In airplane mode it says (No Service) which I found in a AndroidManifest.xml. Either way, I cant find what would need edited. Was going to see if some other people could look into this and see what they find. Hope we can find an answer.
Thanks

Please post questions in Q&A section. Everyone please remember to click the "Report Post" button on the original post to have immediate action taken by the moderators. Also do not post in the thread itself telling the user that he made a mistake or broke a rule as it doesn't contribute to the thread and is unnecessary.
For everyone's information, the Report Post feature is the red triangle in the top-right corner of a post with the "!" inside of it.

Rooting with 2.3.4
How to: Not from me but from another site. Just getting the info out.
You did not have to be rooted or have S-Off To do this. If you had it rooted and your S is off you have less steps to do. (How to check if your S is on or off is pull your battery on your phone and press the power and volume down button at the same time. HBOOT should pop up and at the top it will tell you if your S is on or off. [most people rooted before have their S off])
Hope This Helps All Of You!,

READ THIS: i dont mean to sound like i dont want to be bothered with questions. however, folks are having basically the same issues thru-out the 600+ posts,so i can almost gauarntee if you have a prollem,it has been covered. please try and search for some answers before jumping to the end and posting. answering the same things over and over is just making the thread even longer and harder to search.
if you do have trouble and need to post questions about ADB commands, please provide a copy of your entire session in the command window along with the question. its usually pretty easy to see what went wrong when we can see the whole thing.
copy everything in the command window, and paste it into a code box by:
-right click in the command window, click mark.
-highlight everything in white. hit enter.
-then,in your "reply to thread" box here, click the "#" up top
-right click and "paste" everything between the

Bro, you expect him to press the thanks button when you just offended him. What are you thinking? He may be a little desperate for a fix, but then he didn't really offend you, he didn't even put his whole reply in caps, and you say he is moaning impatiently. I don't see him doing that. Please think before you post, it's important that we maintain harmony in this forum. If you're not happy with 1 another, take it to pms, or just reply "its working for me though" and wait for other users to test the fix out.

That is my signature when I'm on my phone and he was moaning in the MIUI thread and he was replying with frustrated messages in the MIUI thread, this thread and in my inbox. Also, talking about harmony, i think you should take your own advice and next time take a more softened approach instead of straight up insulting me because i was insulted. I know what you are trying to do is right but your method of doing it needs some fine tuning. Now i don't want to argue so mod please lock this thread. :-/

First URL - comment about this functionality is on page 96 and you really think that everybody read all this pages ???
Second URL - functionality is called MULTI-WINDOW not MULTI-VIEW, so searching failed. Don't blame on me.

The first URL leads to one of the more recent pages of the STICKIED thread. What you are telling us falls under the Jellybean category and you should have at least looked at the sticky before posting.
The second URL is a CLOSED thread that was on the third page of this General forum. At least look at the headings of the first 3-4 pages before posting.
F.Y.I., why don't you read the last post in the second URL? You'll see why the mods closed that thread and why yours will be closed too.
