HP's last Touchpad sell

For anyone that doesn't know already:
HP is having their last Touchpad sell on their official Ebay store today at 6pm Central time.
This time their down to just refurbs mostly but still at $99 and $149 (16gb and 32gb respectively) its a steal.
I know I will most likely pick one up tonight if I can grab one before everyone else gets to it
Anyone else thinking of getting one and putting CM7 on that thing?

Damn if I wasn't building a gaming computer I'd buy it in a heartbeat

Supposedly at 6PM (Central) they will be the prices listed above until they sell out.
This is only going on at the HP's official ebay page.

wondering the same.. it shows theyve sold already 8 of the 32gb, theyre might be something special for employees, like maybe they signed up with they're ebay account..

so what do you guys think 16GB or 32GB if im gonna dual boot it with android. that would probably leave little room on the hd of the 16gb one for movies, music and other stuff right?..

I would personally get the 32 gig, but its all in how much media your gonna want, it has no sd card or expandable space.

[Q] How much will the phone really cost via Google Play?

Real urgent and quick question here, I'm getting the 16GB model which is 349$ (350). When I order it online, how much do you think it will be with taxes and shipping? I have 375$ in my account.. do you think that is enough? I live in new york.. When I got my nexus 7 199$ , it came up to about 222.00 with shipping and everything.

These threads are easy to answer. Work it out yourself, it's simple. Delivery shouldn't be more than $13.99. Then look up the tax rate in your state, and add it on. Hey presto, you have your total. It's a simple calculation, stop asking someone else to do it for you.
As for delivery. It's been said a hundred times that Google use UPS 2 day shipping. Add another day or two for processing before the order ships and you're looking at worst case scenario, Monday 19th.

No that is not enough, just by you stating that the nexus 7 was 22$ more with taxes alone thats a 13%(ish) increase. Youre probably looking at 390$ with taxes and S&H. My math isnt that great though so wait on others to chime in haha.

Prices for europe
I believe that for Europe, all prices are inclusive VAT (depending on country 19% - 22%)
Shipping is 9 € (here in Spain) - So the total is 308 € and 358€

I live in Illinois, when I ordered my galaxy nexus, it came via UPS in two days. They left it on the porch, no signature.
Price was $383 from $349 on the play store.
SIDE NOTE: UPS doesn't deliver on Saturdays, so figure that into your time frame.

Buying locally would be better. You never know whether the phone sold at ebay or amazon are real or fake or maybe even blacklisted.

Best Buy Giving $25 Google Play Credit & $15 Best Buy Gift Card

Hey guys, just letting you know that Best Buy is giving out $25 Google Play Credit & $15 Gift Card with the purchase of a Nexus 7.
They will also price match Office Depot which is $40 cheaper than Best Buy.
I went out and bought one, they didn't the Wi-Fi one in stock, so they handed me 32GB Wi-Fi + LTE one.
Office Depot price last until 12-28 though.

I got the $25 play credit but no gift card. Do you have a source link for that? Also, I was unaware that Office Depot had it for $40 cheaper so I'm going to go back to Best Buy today with the ad and get them to price match it. Thanks for the heads up.

I don't. I went in this morning to have them price match office depot and once the price matched then hit total and their system automatically added in the $15 dollar gift card. I have my receipt which is in my fiancée's vehical right now. But I'll upload it later so you all can see

Thanks for this! i got a nook hd+ for the holidays and wanted to exchange it for a 7....This is perfect! i can get the 32gb for 229 with the price match and the gift cards...Awesome!

Yeah you definitely made out like a bandit with that LTE model. It would be nice to have, but I can just tether it to my phone, no biggie. Thanks again man, you truly made my day

I got the $15 credit and $25 Google play credit. I am going to go back to price match though.

Ended up getting one after exchanging the nook HD+ I got as a gift ..indeed I got a 15 best buy GC and a 25 Google play ..thanks op!

I bought mine 10 days ago and had them price match Office Depot at $229. Went back last night for the gift cards and they wouldnt do it. They said they could either price match it, or get the gift cards, but not both.

Got mine yesterday with the gift card and GP credit and went back today (glad I read this thread) and they priced matched it. So I walked out the door with the tablet and Google sleeve ($30) for $277 post tax and $25 in GP credit. Not too bad.

I'm in California, Los Angeles got the 16 GB price matched for $199 plus the 15 dollars plus $25 dollar play credit... Yeah buddy the GP credit was a surprise. I originally Purchased the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 but the screen quality and sluggishness of it made me return it.

Its a promotion that last until Dec. 28 called the yellow tag promotion its also on Bestbuy.com. When you spend over $100 you get a $15 gift card for a later purchase.

I would give it a try... Just ask for a price match if you bought it from best buy. Also most retailers will price match other competitors. Plus best buy had an extended exchange policy until January 15 th.

I called the store manager about getting this, I never got through. Twice disconnected and the person I did speak to, said they would not honor the $15 if $100 spent because I already got the price match. I explained that would be fine if there was a promo specifically on the N7, but its got nothing to do with it, its on amount spent, and I spent way more than $100.

So I said what about the Google promo with the N7, its with google, not Best Buy per se. She went to ask the manager, 10 minutes later *click*.
I call back, she transfers me to the manager,..........*click*
*sigh*

I got mine deb at thanksgiving and only got the $25 gp credit. The credit comes from Google. When I bought mine from best buy. I got an email for the gp credit. It was part of the checkout. Maybe better to order online.

I exchanged the crappy Galaxy Tab 3 I got for Christmas and picked up a 16GB N7 for $200.
My brother and dad were happy since they bought it for me and got a credit of $103 and change. I did receive the $15 gift card which I gave to my brother but didn't the the Google Play credit. I forgot to ask too. Should I go back and inquire on this or is it on the receipt?

They exchanged my 16gb and price matched the 32.. Also gave me the $25 Google Play credit and $15 gift card... sweet deal

Ouch $849 that's pricey, the 5x will probably be $529/$599 cad. Im out, not paying $700 after taxes/shipping for a phone that barely has any new upgrades compared to my nexus 5.

Wow, I did not realize how much CAD lost value over USD. Back on N5 release, the rates were closer.

They were 1:1 back then, my n5 was $399 cad back then. Now its brutal, 40% higher.

From what I read, the price on the Canadian 32GB 5X will be 559.00. I ordered mines from States, so I can get the $50 Google play card. Plus, is cheaper in US when you do the exchange rate.

I ordered it yesterday with the Chromecast. I always prefer OEM cases. Has same delivery date ☺

That's reassuring. I have never ordered an OEM case, including both the Nexus phones I have owned. I also ordered the flip case for the wife so we'll see how it works out as well.

In the shipping waiting room thread quite a few people noticed the status of their orders changed this morning from "pre-ordered" to "pending". Mine has also changed. I'm not expecting one but it would be nice to see a shipping confirmation email sooner than expected.
