********** my order got canceled ************
Placed an order about an hour ago. Best I can tell the only difference is the storage size when compaed to previous A500. BB website mentions that it has no GPS but I am always willing to bet that it does. Quick glance at Acer's website specs shows that Acer does not mention GPS for any of its models. Either way, I will not be heartbroken if it does not have a GPS.

The Acer website does list the model. No specifics on if it has GPS or not. Some are assuming it doesn't. We'll have to see. Other A500 models have GPS but this may be a stripped version since there appear to be two different A500 8gb models. Acer's site also notes this at 110 while other models are 110/220.
Picked one up and am now just playing the waiting game.
8GB does have working GPS
I've verified it using it SYGIC. The 8GB model does come equipped with a working GPS. All you need is the right software such as SYGIC which doesn't require WIFI once you have the map installed!
Anyone else get one that why would like to sell?

I'm still waiting for mine I got an email saying: "Your order will be ready soon" two days ago. I ordered on Nov 27th.
After 2 hrs of talking with 5 different Best buy representatives I received an email saying "Per you request your order has been canceled" I never request to cancel my order their answer were " The item is not in stock and we don't know if we are going to have it" They held my money for 10 days and now I have to wait 3 more days to get my money back.

I replied it was for a 16 gig tab.
I pulled the trigger last night and got the price.
I just noticed this morning at Bestbuy, You get $10. credit for every $100 you spend with a $50. max.
So if you bought the tab at Bestbuy for $500. you will get $50. in credit to spend on accessories for it.

NO..............Limit of $50 in savings codes per transaction.
Problem with newegg is if you decide you don't like it, you are stuck. The policy on it is exchange only. No return.

I know I wont return it because I dont like it. I messed around with it at BestBuy, Seems to be the best Tablet out right now. It has an Iron Egg Guarantee with that purchase, that might allow you to return it for a credit if you dont like it

I don't. I went in this morning to have them price match office depot and once the price matched then hit total and their system automatically added in the $15 dollar gift card. I have my receipt which is in my fiancée's vehical right now. But I'll upload it later so you all can see

I bought mine 10 days ago and had them price match Office Depot at $229. Went back last night for the gift cards and they wouldnt do it. They said they could either price match it, or get the gift cards, but not both.
Got mine yesterday with the gift card and GP credit and went back today (glad I read this thread) and they priced matched it. So I walked out the door with the tablet and Google sleeve ($30) for $277 post tax and $25 in GP credit. Not too bad.

Its a promotion that last until Dec. 28 called the yellow tag promotion its also on Bestbuy.com. When you spend over $100 you get a $15 gift card for a later purchase.

I would give it a try... Just ask for a price match if you bought it from best buy. Also most retailers will price match other competitors. Plus best buy had an extended exchange policy until January 15 th.

I called the store manager about getting this, I never got through. Twice disconnected and the person I did speak to, said they would not honor the $15 if $100 spent because I already got the price match. I explained that would be fine if there was a promo specifically on the N7, but its got nothing to do with it, its on amount spent, and I spent way more than $100.

So I said what about the Google promo with the N7, its with google, not Best Buy per se. She went to ask the manager, 10 minutes later *click*.

My brother and dad were happy since they bought it for me and got a credit of $103 and change. I did receive the $15 gift card which I gave to my brother but didn't the the Google Play credit. I forgot to ask too. Should I go back and inquire on this or is it on the receipt?

Just a heads up you can now pre-order on the UK play store, though annoyingly sand isn't available.
It certainly is! I've just ordered the 16gb in black. The sand version is yet to be made available but it's showing as only available in 32gb. The standard cases are £35 and the keyboard is £110, both not available.
I wanted the sand one but I'm too impatient so I've ordered at 32GB white model, I'll opt for the £35 cover once it's available, I don't think I'd really use the keyboard and it's far too overpriced!
I was considering the 32gb but thankfully I have a Three OnePlan SIM and live in a 4G area so I am pretty well covered for streaming and using Google Drive etc.

You're not, I had the same reaction, especially considering it doesn't state it as a next day delivery service.
It makes me laugh how they call it next day yet it's a pre order.
Bit the bullet and pre-ordered a 32GB black from Amazon, even though the £399 price is a bit ludicrous. I suppose I'll get a fair few years of usage out of it and it'll receive timely updates OTA so there's that.

Pre-ordered the 9 this morning, just waiting to see on the N6, I'll hopefully be able to grab one from CPW rather than wait potentially a few weeks from the playstore. I am also (for the record) happy with my N5, I use it more than my three devices. (OPO, G3) but the N6 is shiny and new and is a MUST have

Yeah if I get one it'll probably be from CPW, I preordered the N5 from the play store last year but ended up grabbing one from CPW on launch day.

i asked some one who works in carphonewarehouse and he told me that EE will have exclusivity for however long... and he said you might aswell just buy it from the play store outright.
so maybe they wont allow people to buy the phone outright?

Ouch $849 that's pricey, the 5x will probably be $529/$599 cad. Im out, not paying $700 after taxes/shipping for a phone that barely has any new upgrades compared to my nexus 5.

They were 1:1 back then, my n5 was $399 cad back then. Now its brutal, 40% higher.
From what I read, the price on the Canadian 32GB 5X will be 559.00. I ordered mines from States, so I can get the $50 Google play card. Plus, is cheaper in US when you do the exchange rate.

That's reassuring. I have never ordered an OEM case, including both the Nexus phones I have owned. I also ordered the flip case for the wife so we'll see how it works out as well.
In the shipping waiting room thread quite a few people noticed the status of their orders changed this morning from "pre-ordered" to "pending". Mine has also changed. I'm not expecting one but it would be nice to see a shipping confirmation email sooner than expected.
