That's it. This is possible?
Thankss!!
I think Samsung will Do that. On ativ smart pc it is preinstalled, porting it to RT shouldn't be to much work for them

Well here is the Snote. http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-US/app/s-note/894a71cb-01fa-4da3-9b77-9e8b6877c686
We need to change the manufacturer to Samsung, I've tried with Regedit but I can not change that.
That is only x86 / x64, not for ARM

My portatil is HP and X64. I can't install this Snote.

You will need samsung to port it. No-one else can without source code.
It isnt specified which of the 3 models of ativ are being asked about here.
If its the full ativ smart PC and smart PC pro then there is no reason why samsung could not do it.
If its the ativ RT then it will be MUCH harder for samsung as you cannot run desktop applications on those devices beyond those which microsoft included on the device and those running via the jailbreak. Samsung would never create software for jailbroken devices and SNote for metro would be an entirely different application (but they could do that anyway).

As for my knowledage there are no way to run java applets or full pages based on java,on any android system or version, no matter what browser u use, cause it isnot related at all to browsers nor can be solved by a simple plugin or app,i think Google and oracle have to settle their issues on that, due to my work nature i have to access many webpages based on JAVA applets and controls, and none of them works, this is become so frustrating.

there is no jre for android hence no java plug ins for browser. to give jre support to android or even ios would be pretty pointless beside some plugins as not many user use their mobile device as a pc or workstation replacement. kinda like adobe air.... how many ppl actually develop apps under it?
imho check for a remote desktop solutions instead of hopping for the java support.

that would be because java failed to be universal

I am already using RDP sessions as a way around this problem,it was just a hope that someday every thing that we can open on a pc browser can be opend also on a mobile browser.

By the way i think JAVA is supported by some versions of windows mobile OS..

Actually the lack of JRE support is the only thing that keeps me from abandoning my notebook for an android device, as I need JRE for online banking (CFD trading).

I use to do applets back in 1998 but...there was no jquery, ajax, prototype.js or even a decent RIA framework..
so applets are so...last century
Hey XDA. was just wondering. been seeing a lot of positive reviews on windows O/S and samsung is thinking about releasing a windows O/S soon. so What is stopping me from having a play with it?
there are many things. but the easist one is the architecture. smartphones normally use ARM while a pc uses x86 or x64

Why does everyone keep asking this question?
On just about every tablet forum this keeps being asked with negative response being given everytime.
I believe someone on the Acer A500 thread got a stripped down version of win 95 running but there were still problems with drivers.... As for the latest version, no chance....
I mean the actual windows 8.1 for phone, like the one on the nokia!
just buy a nokia

Hi ya,
With Simply Google rom for Huawei Mate 8, the Samsung smart view was working on my Samsung TV but not perfectly. Probably because of the router bring far away.
On the new rom, International B170 it doesn't work for me anymore. I have the NXT-AL10.
Hello together,

Now it seams I can not run in with my Pixel 2 from Germany with my German google account that easy.
First the watch need Android Wear OS in Chinese version and it seams I can not change the language of the watch to German.
Is there a way to bring the watch to full service for me, eg by flashing another image. Or have I burnedy money? ?

I have solved the problem by flashing a new international image from this Thread
Works perfect and totally easy for me!

I am toying with the idea of getting myself a Tab A 2019. I would use it especially for notes during lectures and for solving exercises. Is there a suitable pen that I can use to edit PDFs in e.g. OneNote or Acrobat?

What about S-pen fitted Tab A 2019(SM-P200/205)?
They come with pen!
If you want a bigger screen, have a look into Tab S6 Lite, soon to be introduced

The Galaxy Tab S6 10.5" was released in Aug 2019, and I think it is the latest with S-Pen. It also has a detachable keyboard option and a built in stand like an MS Surface Pro.

Yep, it didn't reach Europe. Nevertheless I bought it (new) from an Ebay seller, shipped to Spain. It's already on Android 9, not sure if it will be ever updated by Samsung to 10.
Tab S6 is gorgeous, but quite expensive.
Tab S6 Lite looks good, to be released un Europe soon. Already listed for presale in Amazon Germany . Apparently will launch with Android10
