PLEASE let this alleged hardware issue be the addition of a trackball/trackpad and a better casing than cheap plastic that gizmodo reported.
Let this be a standalone phone and not a Galaxy S with Stock Android.

Google needs some damn designers...lol. People with vision...the Nexus S/2 should looked like the HTC ONE concept some design student mocked up...with a few additions for usability.

You guys know Google doesnt' actually design phones right?
They basically call up sony/htc/apple/samsung and ask what new platforms/devices they have coming up. The respective companies show them a line up, google bids on them, and then they tweak it slightly (color/finish/very minor hw changes).

Cool, so rumour was true I hope it will be released soon...

I really hope it lives up to the nexus name. Not just a galaxy-S running stock android with an unlockable bootloader...

Sorry for previous post (now it's edited). I turned off image loading so i didn't see the image. Now i understand the question and no i never saw a g3 like this. I'm not sure if this is a real picture... look at the buttons... they are quite "strange"

that is a pre production model, those pictures were probably taken when they were doing a preview of the phone, before it was released to market.

Looks absolutely different. I can see Spare Parts, Java Me, Coverter, Dev Tools apps. These were not there when i bought the phone. Looks like a hybrid phone

Nope.
I have the Indian version......

Interface is definetly different..status bar, "touchwiz"....
And two homebuttons...maybe the one what we use as a home button isnt home button.
I dont get it, why isnt there normal touchwiz, we are using

Maybe it's chinese copy?

Its a prototype of the galaxy3...samsung decided to shed some of those buttons to make it look better and cut costs

lighter spot on gray background on the screen ??

i just noticed 2 spots one on the right and the other on the left
they appear as lighter than surrounding area in a gray background only in low brightness
they are ill defined .... not a ring
i ll post a pic later on
any help about this ??

I believe this is a limitation on the SAMOLED+ ( was not there on the original SAMOLED ) some phones dont have this un-uniformity of rendering greys but probably a good majority have.

i searched before posting but didn't found any similar thread
so whats the problem ..... is it normal
it is not obvious but it is annoying to have it in a new device only
in normal use i don't see it but the only screen that i can see it when looking for battery usage as it gives the screen a plain gray color

You have 3 choices:
1. Do nothing - no problem under normal use, so why whine?
2. Return the phone.
3. Find one of the 306507 threads involving screen defects and filled with the rantings of some of the most disturbed people you could ever wish to meet. Won't "cure" your phone, but it may be of some succour.
I recommend #3 for you.

I actually have the same issue, and ended up in this thread. I'm just gonna live with it, not a big spot in my case.

Artifacts on Nexus 4

Few days ago i bought Nexus 4 and its really nice device i really like it.
But the problem i found in game ZenBound 2 is that is displaying this artifacts and that annoys me much.
It just happens in Tree lvl chooser and nowhere else.
So does any1 have similar problems whit ZenBound2 or its just my device that has problems?

I fail to see any screen artifacts, all I see is jaggies and that's not screen artifacts. That's just a lack of anti-aliasing.

Look at the leafs. they have some kind of black background around them.
and yes, happens on mine too.

Did you reboot phone? Uninstall and reinstall game?
If its still bad then email developer. Game looks quite cool, might buy it if they fix the issue. Post them the link to this thread in the email!

Yep i did that several times but nothing helps.

It looks like the leaf images are supposed to have one color mapped to transparent. What image format is being used? GIF?

(MOD) Textra 2.36 with modded bubbles

Hi guys
I made this for myself for my device N5 because i dont like textras bubbles much...I am a noob, this was my first mod so i dont take responsability if anything goes wrong(and probably wont be able to fix it in case anything goes wrong lol). Everything seems to be working properly without issues.
Please let me know if this infringes any copyright because i have no idea(and i will gladly remove it if it infringes any rules of xda)

i dont understand what you mean...why am i kidding?Why did you take a screenshot of textra?does my modded version show up with the same bubbles as textra?

The difference is so small. I could understand if one was bubbles and one rectangles. Its a bit OCD, but everyone to his own. I did download it and set it. Was hoping for more change

lol yeah its not much of a design change(thats why you have the screenshot in the post), but in my opinion it looks better...they are my favourite bubble type, thats why i changed textra
