I'm actually a wireless dealer and have tried Solavei on my sgs3 but it seems to be hit and miss. This is what I have used.. Check it out and let me know how it works.

First off, yes, I am a noob, and I love the video you guys have to welcome us noobs to the forum
Second, I understand COMPLETELY that the G2 on AT&T does NOT support 3G.
Third I understand it DOES support edge (or 2G from the iPhone world as that is where I come from)
Now, Even though I have full signal in edge, but NO wifi, I cannot load a web page in the browser. In fact, I cannot connect to the internet whatsoever. I can send texts and make phone calls, but no internet. Is there some hack that I need to do to enable it? Could it be because I'm using a micro sim for an iPhone 4?
Thanks!
You need to edit the APN settings for AT&T.
I don't know what they are offhand
True, you need to manually enter the APN settings for the phone to work on AT&T's data network. The APN is found under Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile networks>Access point names
The proper settings are here:

However, this does not explain why WiFi does not work. Not sure what's going on there.
Heh such a simple answer. I was trying to figure it out for 3 hours straight. Thanks guys, this forum's the best already
Now for some rooting heh

Welcome to the forums. You made a good choice for your first Android phone. The G2 has it all, including massive developer support.
Thanks for the APN. Editting this would only make Edge work?

In the case of the G2 on AT&T, yes. The G2 does not have the correct radio hardware to be compatible with AT&T's network. But if the correct hardware is present, the APN info allows you to connect to EDGE and 3G for your particular network.

I just got a galaxy note a few months back and decided to try straight talk with it. I was having a hard time figuring out the settings to get data and MMS working searched the boards left and right. Just passing this video on. if you have an unlocked Galaxy note GT-7000 give these a try. later!
I just got the Note 3 a couple of hrs ago and I noticed I couldn't send an MMS but I could receive one. I created a new apn and now I can send and receive. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?
I deal with APN related issues about 5 times a day on the Dutch T-Mobile forums alone. It's normal on any smartphone that the settings are sometimes incorrectly inserted by the sim or configuration text.
I always enter them myself as opposed to using the preconfiguration.
Yea I just wonder what was wrong with original only difference was name so idk why it didn't work.
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The server looks for a specific access point name, so if it doesn't match, it's not recognized.
Yea I did research and it seems ppl have been having problems with that particular apn. Would have thought they would fix it by now.

Here what i had to do...
I have a Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 AT&T model.
As the title suggests, I can recieve picture messages, but I can't SEND them.
I'm on Straight Talk. Yes I have the correct APN (since I can recieve them and have all other data functions),and I've cleared my cache (brand new phone,so wouldn't have made a difference but I did it anyway).
I do have it rooted, and am thinking of going to CyanogneMod, since I had it on my S3 and rather enjoyed the simplicity of almost pure Android.
Also, turning off the wi-fi and trying to send over 3g/4g isn't working
Any ideas of what it could be and how I could fix it?
EDIT: I just realized this is the wrong thread. I apologize. If a mod could come close this, I will be posting it in the ATT S4 troubleshooting section. thanks!
Hey everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this,
So the story goes as so: After doing some research couple months ago about the capability of the Verizon Galaxy S3 to work on T-mobile, i purchased it, and got it to successfully work on T-mobile(texts, calls, wi-fi). The problem is, i just recently upgraded to include a data plan, and i cannot access the internet, despite taking my phone to my cell phone dealer and contacting T-mobile.T-mobile even sent me a guide to do a mastery reset to factory in hopes to solve this problem, only to tell me afterwards that the phone version SCH-I535 is a "verizon locked-software" and i won't be able to set up an APN to work on the T-mobile network. This was all due to the fact that i was not able to set up a APN for T-mobile, and every time i tried to access it through setting, it brought me to a blank black page with the only option of "Reset to Default". After reading other forums and talking with some people, many have suggested i take this issue to XDA to find a solution.
So, here i am.....Does anyone know if it is possible for me to break/root/ or whatever it is called so i can successfully access the t-mobile network on my phone? Preferably an easier guide since i am sort of a newbie at this sort of stuff.
Thanks again for reading.
