The Nexus 4 has the Qualcomm MDM8215 baseband chip. Which phones else are using this baseband chip?

nearly same specs as Nexus 4.
Nexus 4 has been confirmed to have MDM9215 baseband per official kernel source. Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33645116&postcount=142
Hmm, really? That MDM 9215 chip supports LTE... http://www.qualcomm.com/chipsets/gobi
And again my question, which phones else have the MDM 9215 base band chip?

So question do we think the nexus will get LTE before google I/O or will we get a new device?
If you all think it's a device will it be announced in may or next September?

It's not impossible. The LG Optimus 4X HD is also a Tegra 3 and it got the first unofficial build.

Can someone let me understand something about the n900 and lte..
Is lte built into the phone but cannot be used because of the Exynos chipset or the phone just don't have it to begin with because of the chipset?

The phone does not have it because of the chipset... There is no LTE tech in it

Okay thanks for the info

LTE/4G requires a seperate chip. The n9005 has the Qualcomm 4G chip. The N900 has no such chip.
Any word if this will quicken a aosp 4.4 ROM? G pad has a snapdragon 600 but other than that the same specs right?

Or has this been covered?
I think g2 and g pro2 have quite the same hardware. Since g2 have the g flex based rom, so will it be possible to have g pro 2 based ROM for G2?

Wish to have the knock code or magic focus on g2...

Should be able to. We have the Flex ports. I'm sure we'll see Knock Code and the Camera app ported over before the whole rom. Shouldn't be a problem unless there is a hardware requirement for those features.
I hope that a port will be available.
Because the G Pro 2 have some nice new features!

This. If it was possible for the Flex roms, it'll most likely be possible with G pro 2 Roms.
