Hi guys,
I have a problem with my HD2. I have MAGLAR 1.13 and NAND rom from gauner "[23 JAN] gauner1986's Z-FI 0.1 (Desire Z based) [KERNEL = my own ]". + rafpigna 1.70OC kernel.
Everything works great but GP FIx was kinda slow. So I tryed to follow this trhead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900631&page=14 and I copied the sensors.bravo.so gps.bravo.so to /system/lib/hw/. I didn't replaced nothing because these files were not there. Also changed permissions from 644 to 777 on /system/lib/libgps.so. And rebooted... (this is the ref http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=490930&d=1295171058)
Now after load the maglar and kernel, when it shows the "HTC Quietly brilliant" phone just won't leave this stage.. and won't boot... just cycles on this stage.
I need to access filesystem to remove those files from it. How can I do it without having the phone booted?
Tks,
pmjcr
Can I do it from AD Recovery?
I can see that with MAGLDR 1.13 I have a AD Recovery mode. And if I put a zip on root of sdcard I can make ate least something... What do I have to put on the zip file in order to delete these files?...
Also see that in these zips there is a META-INF\com\google\android\update-script
In this script usually I has these commands
ui_print("Formatting System..."); to print something to the screen
format("MTD", "system"); I believe this is for formating partition
mount("MTD", "boot", "/boot") This should be to mount....
What I need is a "rm" command/syntax to remove sensors.bravo.so gps.bravo.so from /system/lib/hw
someone??...
I think I've found...
delete DATA:etc/hosts--------------delete("/data/etc/hosts");
on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936175
will try... fingers crossed
Your new sensors file may be causing the issue.
Since it appears you have Clockwork recovery, do a NAND backup then a file system format, then re-flash your ROM.
You can at least then recover the data area should this fix the issue.
I am not having any luck... this update.zip from root of SD is only for Clockworkmod and I don't have it... only magldr... As in menu i've seen "AD Recovery" I though it would work.. but no...
What is the AD Recovery for on MAGLDR and how can I use it? When I select it I will have "no boot sources".
Ok... I'm a little tired of searching... but I've realized that I need a way of doing an incremental update via DFT method. Anyone knows how?...
I really don't want to loose my s4ettings from my phone... everything was working so great... just the GPS was slow on fix... buááááááá
If you are going to continue to ask several questions in this thread between replies I suggest you edit one post over and over. It is difficult to help when you're having to quote many different posts.
If you don't have Clockwork recovery installed then you have a problem - sort of. You won't have AD Recovery, and installing it will wipe your current ROM.
My suggestion is you download CWR 1.12 which is the SD Card method, put the zipped files in the ROOT of your SDCARD and use the SD AD or SD Android boot option in MAGLDR. This should give you the option to backup your ROM and flash a new .zip ROM.

Thanks for your adviceI was already on that stage trying a SD built. I've loaded and android from SD but getting an image required some more additional steps. I ended by installing a new built (the DL Desire one) that has a recovery method.
Thanks for your help.
Rgds,
I am curious about the topic in the title as well. I have access to a Mac and PC. Some sort of "USB" mode that allows access to the internal memory and not just the memory card.
Hello,
I want to boot SD ROM with MGLDR Boot AD SD and after some tests only too ROMS work.
[SD] BOYPPC_SHIFTPDA GINGER 2.3.4 Sense.s V9 (14.May) freezes always on lockscreen
[SD.Magldr] isaiah12345 v3.2 200 haven't mobile data (APNs dont work)
Others ROMS haven't data.img but system.ext2.
I've understand that :
- if there is a data.img, i just boot AD SD whith nand_boot=1 and rootfs.img modified if needed,
- if there is not data.img (system.ext2 ROMS), i wait around 30minutes after boot AD SD whith nand_boot=1 and rootfs.img modified if needed.
I've test to copy a data.img in a folder whith system.ext2 file and the boot AD SD boot my nand ROM bootscreen and freeze and my nand ROM don't boot no more (thanks recovery backup ^^), why ?
is it possible the boot AD SD crash my NAND build with nand_boot=1 in startup.txt ?
EDIT : finally just MIUIs ROMS work and [SD.Magldr] isaiah12345 v3.2 200 but without mobile data.
Why not more ???
Hi
this is my first time on HD2
I installed android rom on nativesd and its working fine I want to add more rom
using mgldr/ EXT4 recovery
into magldr, , set sd boot directory to 4ext, then boot into 4ext recovery,, flash the new rom, , it will automagically give itself a new folder inside the ext partition.
Hi all
I have HTC HD2 EU , I installed WP7 and Android (Parandroid witch is a good one ) with dualboot ; thanks to all developpers .
Now I want to keep WP7 and switch to other android roms using 4ext correctly (or CWM) , like BOXMAX Rom installatio
How install
- must have 2 part ext4 ... use "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" for Re Partition:
1- First Partition "Fat 32" "Primary" (mmcblk0p1)
2- Second Partition "Primary" "Ext4" for system 1gb or 680mb (mmcblk0p2)
3- Third Partition "Primary" "Ext4" for data 1gb (mmcblk0p3)
- use this recovery and boot it from haret or Magldr SD ...
- before flash rom : wipe and format for sd-ext & sd-ext2 from recovery menu then :
- flash rom .
I found a lot of threads but for nand android .
Thanks
I tried some threads , get into 4ext recovery and off course I deleted WP7 , but when started Android ( BOXMAX NATIVE SD) it stuck on boot image for more than 40 min !
I installed WP7 again and Android ( parandroid ) .
keep waiting for help !
You have your answer right within your post, " use this recovery and boot it from haret or Magldr SD ..."
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337663
Are you using the SD recovery from here https://app.box.com/s/jh2w3keom4x81p1qsw8f which is linked in those instructions?
It sounds like you are flashing 4ext recovery (CWM) and therefore wiping your wp7 in nand.
The sd recovery boots from magldr ad sd.
If you want to triple boot paranoid nativesd, boxmax directsd and wp7, you might want to increase the size of your first sd-ext partition to say 1.5 or 2Gb. So that you have;
fat32 (size=whatever is leftover) first (primary)
EXT4 size 1.5 or 2Gb second (primary)
EXT4 size 1Gb third (primary)
WP7 (whatever you choose) fourth (primary)
Thank you a lot for your answers and your time ,
Now I have dualboot WP7 in nand (4.5 G) and Parandroid Rom in the sd with very easy install .
I only want dualboot , keep WP7 in nand , than use 4ext recovery to wipe Parandroid Rom and flash BOXMAX Rom ( as said in instructions here ) in sd , because when I tried partition with 4ext recovery when flashing BOXMAX Rom I wiped my WP7 from nand :silly: .
How to flash the BOXMAX rom using 4ext recovery without deleting nand ,step by step plz if possible ?
Sir,
I installed ICS_Cm9 V1.3.3 via CWM - install Zip method and it is working fine.
I wanted to try a different rom Jelly bean CM10.2 afresh via the same method. But I failed as it did not install.
I found that ICS directory structure is of 4 folder and a file I.e. boot, data, meta-inf ,sys and a file
whereas the dir structure of Jelly bean of 7 folders including sdcard, mod & custom.
Is this not the proper nand build and if so from where I can download an update or build compatible with CWM 5.0.2.6. partition is 250 mb.
or is there a way to tweak the 7 folders to 4 and proceed.
Please guide.
forgive my ignorance.
I tried many links but failed.as all the nand roms I have downloaded are of 7 dirs.
thanks

Usually the structure is the same. Also you're not supposed to look inside the zip folder because that's not the issue, you just copy the whole .zip file onto your sdcard and flash-as-zip from CWM.
Are you sure you've downloaded the correct file?
There are more directories in the rom.zips of latest roms because there are more than one way of installing the rom eg nand only, dataonext, nativeSD and sometimes DirectSD. You get to choose how to install the rom in aroma installer which appears after flashing.
If you want a nand only installation, just choose that option in aroma.
If you have an international (not tmous) hd2, you may find no room for apps since latest roms may be a bit larger than ics, in which case you will have to create an ext4 partition on your sdcard and use dataonext or nativesd.
nand roms builds flashable with different directory structure

Thanks and to all those who advised .
In fact, I earlier installed Nand rom on Htc hd2 (international) via recovery 3.0.....However, through the same recovery I tried to install latest roms that are installable only through recovery 5.0.2.6 with aroma installer, that now I understand. I never knew it.
With your guidance and of the forum , I am now able to install roms via all the three methods and am having fun with the hd2 that was discarded by my daughter and after I had lost mine.
People are so nice here.Tthey have helped a person aged 70 to do things for himself so far discarded phones are concerned.
thanks again
