also tell me where to put my apps?? in data/apps or in system apps?? and till what amt(MB)??
As for resigning a zip: The way I do it is download the rom to my desktop, Right click on it and open with: select winRAR archiver delete out of system/apps everything I don't want ie facebook/stocks etc. While I'm in the drop in the apk's of the things I want and voila!. Click the 'X' at the top right and then drag that onto my memory card. Install as you do etc etc. No need to unzip or zip a file!.
Hope this helps!

Hello guys
My question is i m using creed Rom v3.5 and i want to backup this Rom...
Intelligent guys please don't say anything about nandroid backup because it backups all data cache android secure and making a backup of 530mb where i just want to backup this Rom only which is just 125mb or something around.
For your information i have deleted the creed v3.5 toroto.zip accidently and please don't say to download it again...
I just want a way by which i can backup Rom only...
try to use cwm recovery..select backup & restore..it will showing nandroid menu..select backup..then you wil know it to do...
after finished..go reboot your phone..connect it to pc with usb mass storage..select your backup zip file..
then make a updater-script (u can use from creed rom zip file with editing)..then make a folder system for ur system files (if necessary)..
make a zip file with winzip or 7zip or maybe winrar (choose one)..done!! go test by flashing it with cwm recovery..

One more thing friends
When we made nandroid backup it backups files like data
System
Boot
Android secure
Cache
So other way can i do that first i backup my current Rom
Than delete
Android secure
Cache
Data
So that only system remains in backup folder..
So it is possible to restore that by using advance restore option?

using advance restore
example system you want the system but still you want the ROM you can just restore the system
yes..but why u don't press thanks??

Look where you are posting
This is the galaxy y 5360 section!
Please goto your own phone forum
You will need a recovery can backup to otg or external sd card
I suggest fixing the bugs in your recovery
But for this you need to post in your own phone forum!
Hy all, I just wanted to ask if I can actually make a backup or save my actual rom with all my configuration (not the sd card data stuff since I know I can copy paste that in or out ^^) Im actually with a custom rom which is great and I've changed stuff from system/ usr and I would like to be saved as well the real question is..
CAN I MAKE A .ZIP OF EXACTLY WHAT'S IN MY PHONE RIGHT NOW? A PERSONAL ROM WHITH ALL THE CONFIG SAVED?
Thank you for the help ^^ did the MAYUS for the people that don't want to read a lot
Of course you can. It`s called nandroid back-up. You can find it in your custom recovery.

Same question, came installed with stock based ROM and doesn't allow other apps to mod the battery icon.

if you have the zip file for this mod and it's flashable open it up and check all the places the zip would have sent files to. you can do this by looking in the system folder inside the zip.
if you mount your system partition as read/write either from recovery or terminal emulator you should be able to delete those files. the problem is whether any original files where overwritten, or whether they were made into bak files or copied to folder. if they were overwritten you'd get problems. best thing to do is check with the author of the mod in it's thread for removal instructions. chances are a search of the thread will lead you to where this answer is already given.
if you're lucky the answer won't be to restore the backup we should make before flashing any mod...
