Hi, everyone
I have got a little problem. I install the latest quarx build of cm10, but always if i want to power up the phone i have to go to bootmenu > boot> 2nd-boot now fon is running, but i want to do it automatic. E.g. power up and start booting cm10. I set deafhlut: this option 2nd-boot but it isn t working. Or if i do not go to bootmenu, i have a motorola logo, red lens and phone power off.
I have go mb525 red lens.
Any ideas?
EDIT:
I find option in bootmenu, we have to click deaflut and there is the option to click 2nd-system, maybe that will be work?? I do not know, but i do not want to crash my defy. PLS help

hey guys,my first post here....
i am stuck with the infinite reboot loop from moto logo after i tried the 2ndinit install.my phones just a month old and i can use it now
i can get into the stock recovery menu by pressing -vol while booting, nothing is making any difference there.
if i press the +vol key while booting,it goes into bootloader menu, but it says battery low, cannot program. i had just rooted my phone and was trying to take a nandroid backup when this happened.
please help save my defy :-s
BUMP................
Im not a expert nor its will be t best solution, Recharge your battery on another device.. Next , try first turn on defy with vol press down, when android signal logo appears, its not boot logo..., press up & down at same time, then wipe data.. It will reset your data. Another solution its flash any sbf of your taste with rsd lite. There is a tutorial for defy beginers on stickies & defy wiki , its contain all info you will need

Hi all,
I have to report a problem with 2nd Init installed and camera.
I Found that my camera showed a black screen instead of the preview but I could make pictures without problems, but no video.
After trying everything found on the web, the problem was still there. So I restored all my apps and data and I tried to uninstall 2ndinit....
The camera now is working!!!!
I can't even imagine the reason but seems that 2nd Init has some bugs on defy.
Anyone had this problem?
bye
Davide
The solution is simple, from bootmenu change boot method from bootmenu to normal. The black screen is due to messed up video driver.
Maybe I was not too clear... I'll try to explain better.
The problem at the camera IS DUE to defy 2ndInit not to video driver!
The only way I found to solve it is to remove 2ndInit. (tried 2 times)
I was just wondering about the connection between the problem and 2ndInit.
Thanks
Bye
pbjhon was right in the first place. The 2nd-init is actually causes the camera to stop working properly where you can not see any preview but taking picture is ok.
You need to set the boot menu(in 2nd-init) to normal booting instead of boot into 2nd-init. Installing 2nd-init in default will set the booting direct to 2nd-init menu which you must edit/change it yourself.
I have similar problem, happened just after install of bootmenu (0.6.1, no new ROM yet).
Please clarify - once I've selected the "Normal" boot option, to be the default one, - how could I enter bootmenu again ? - is this done by press on "volume-down" button, once the blue led is lit ?

Install latest bootmenu and CWM for better ROM management, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356767.
Some custom roms will ask what kind of boot when you pressed reboot option, like CM7. You can disable/enable that option as well.
However in the ROM you use, if theres no option, then you can simply press Vol-down the moment blue led turns on.
For me, the no-camera issue was resolved by set the default boot, to "Normal".
I have also verified that I can re-select boot menu, using the volume-down press after blue Led lights up.
Thanks for the help.

While it said, the installation automatically sets boot to 2ndinit, i had to do that manually. After switching on the phone, the led first goes to blue before red. Press volume down then, enter boot and select default boot to 2ndinit, and reboot. It should work this way but on my green lens defy it goes to the motorola logo for some time and after that comes the reboot. At least not blank screen.:good: But having it plugged to a computer, it says MB526, so something does work, but then something goes wrong...

I am waiting for the red led, but after some ten minutes i am getting bored... a progress indicator would be great, because now i think, it just hanged.
Mine have exactly problem like this too.
Please help.
I have Defy MB525 Green Lens . I'm not sure which bootloader do I have. But my base SBF is CEE Froyo 2.2. I was performing upgrade from CM7 WhiteRabbit 1.7 to CM10 2nd-boot 21 Oct.
What should I do?
Thank you

Hey, I managed to boot up the 2nd boot built successfully.
1. Wipe Data
2. Flash Froyo signed kernel from http://defy.wdscript.fr/kernel/
3. Flash CM10-20121018-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip
4. Flash update_for_18.10.zip
5. Flash Google Apps
6. Wipe Data again for sure
7. Reboot
Done!

Hi this is my first post on this forum, sorry for my bad English because I'm Polishman
Well, everything was nicely foaming, "I sat" on the CM10 installed the Pie controll and just had fun this application that has become so sensitive to where it was not to use the entire screen. It took out the batteries and wanted to enter in CWM to do a wipe, and there still stands on the log "M". So I took RSD and flashed stock. Still hanging on the log, and to stock recovery also can not enter because the log M.
What to do in this situation?
I installed this:
JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_177-005_NORDIC_SIGN_SIGNED_UCAJRDNEMARAB1B80AA03A.0R_PDS03C_USAJRDNFRYORTNORD_P003_A001_HWp3_Service1FF.sbf.gz

it's not working
I have normal Defy

So, nobody help me??
Is your defy red or green lense camera ,aka Bayer or SOC? If your camera is red you can try to install BL5 GB from Defy+ (4.5.1-134_DFP-82). If green - DON'T TRY THAT METHOD...

When try 3.4.2-179-6.1 T-mobile germany rom from SBF files thread. It's BL4 so you wont screw anything with CG/BL version.
I's ok, I repair this
Hi guy,
does any one know how to back to original defy wtih sbf files? because my defy stop at Android logo. In addition, I think my problem at MIUI defy V5 because after I installed V5. I dont like it, so I use RLDs to recover my defy with SBF.
Environment and duplicate steps
MB525 (green camera)
1 - Reboot the phone when you see the blue LED volume press the button below to enter the bootmenu.
2 - Now we enter the Custom recovery
Custom recovery:
A - Wipe data
B - Wipe cache
C - install the rom and Reboot (MIUI V5 Defy/Defy+ 17.5.2013 Quarx Based on 11.5.2013 /Miui Defy/Defy V5 Optimization)
3 - Use one or two hour, then I dont like MIUI v5, so I go to wipe date and cache again under recovery mode, then defy stop at Moto's logo.
4 - I used JRDNEM_U3_3.4.3-36-1.7_CHINESE_SIGN...to reflash by RSD lite.
5 - The Defy stop at Android logo. ( I dont have any idea now. because usually reflash SBF is work for me.)
Can you take any screenshot? I cant imagine what android logo are you thinking .....

Thank you Yzeroy,
Android logo is second picture when you power on defy. (ex: first picture is Moto logo. second logo is Android logo)
Ok, as you said you came from MIUI v5 ( whitch is CM10) it uses EXT4 as primary partition format for data and cache ... solution si simple and easy ....
1. Turn off you mobile ....
2. Boot up Defy with POWER button and VOLUME down button pressed together
3. DO factory reset and reboot
Now it should boot
haha, I fixed this problem now, and I know the root cause. anyway, thank you very much
the root cause:
should be need to wipe date and cache again.
