Hi. lately my n7 has turned off ramdomly when it is in standby mode. Its been a problem sisce i innstalled the trinity kernel, then i went back to stock aokp kernel. It was fine until today.... i think it is mostly when it has not so much power left....
it would be nice if any of you could help me out Seems like the batery vlotage does a jump 10 almost 100% when it is about 30, then turns off :/

Hello everyone,
I rooted my phone in early september and put cyanogen 5 on it. I loved the new features but the speed wasn't very good so I switched to biffmod. That's when the problems started to happen. My battery life significantly decreased, I could barely keep it running for 4 hours. When I would open apps like google maps it would turn off instantly, but the phone and text messages worked flawlessly and I loved the speed so I didn't really mind. In the last few weeks it got worse. After a phone call the phone would turn off. I decided to reflash but it stayed the same. Now the phone lasts about 1 minute after unplugging from 100% charge. Anyone knows what could be causing this? or how to fix it?
EDIT : I'm using Biffmod 2.1 with 245 CPU minumum frequency and 556 maximum and DangerSPL.
is this happening on other roms or just biffmod??
Cyanogen 5 was working fine, only hapenned since I switched to Biffmod. (Which is using cyanogen 6)
do a nandroid (plug the phone in for this so it keeps power). then try another rom i say. we can then narrow down whether it is a rom issue or a battery issue. as far as i know no rom should give your battery a lifespan of 1 minute. make sure you have wiped your battery stats too. not sure if this will change anything but you never know.
Looks like a battery wipe fixed the problem. It got past the 1 minute mark! In fact I didn't even know that RA's recovery had that feature. Thanks!
no problem man. i figured it may have been something like that. if the stats dont match then it thinks the battery is low on power when it isnt.
False alarm, it did get better but it shut down after 30min of idle with wifi on.
ok. try a different rom to see if that helps or try draining the battery completely. keep turning your g1 on until it wont turn on any longer. then try charging it from there.
how long have you had the phone by the way?
I got the phone 1 year ago. I'm trying to drain the battery right now. I'll try switching rom after this. Do you have a recomendation? I'm on ebi1 radio.
not sure myself mate. i went for cyanogen, then went to superE as it suited my needs and aint changed since
Nook Color
CM10 nightly
Installed CM10 on the Nook Color from CM's nightlies page. Installed to SD card. Battery drops by 25% a day, without even turning it on during that period. BetterBatteryStats says the culprit is the wl1271_wake kernel wakelock, using14-18 hours of CPU time (300Mhz) over a 24 hour period. BT is off, but Wifi is on. It sits a couple feet from the router with an excellent signal.
The device otherwise works relatively well. Wifi always works when coming out of sleep, no SOD yet. Generally responsive UI, though it does hang sometimes. Have reset it a few times since the initial install, just to make sure everything's settled in.
Any thoughts?
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Started happening randomly about 2 weeks ago on stock 4.3. Switched to PA 3.99 then to CM, still happened. Flashed 4.4 and it died today at about 20%, usually it's around 40%.

Do you get a blinking red light sometimes when you charge it?
Try this for me. When your battery is at 30% try to take a picture with flash. If your phone shuts off then it might be that your battery is bad. From you have said I think the battery is bad. You will need to replace the battery.

you van try this:
1st: Set both max clock and min clock to 1.5ghz(1512 or something mhz).PS use trickster because sometimes setcpu dosent work or it get reverted.
2nd: use your phone normal, until it reaches 0% of battery(i dont mean 0%,what i mean is the state of it dosent even turning on because of low battery,a.k.a flashing red light).
3rd: hold down both volume rocker buttons for 60 seconds and then plug in the charger(if this is right it will simulate that you have removed the battery, you may wanna check if the combination is right, because my n4 is on rma :/)
4th: after that, recharge your phone for at least 6hours(remember: dont turn on the phone while recharging, let recharge with the phone off)
5th: after phone turned on, get back the min clock and max clock to its original value(usualy max 1512 or something and min 384 or something)
6th: profit(if it worked lol).
Hi!
I have ~25h from 100% to 0% (turn off) on battery. About 5 hours in web (static sites with text), 3h in games (lighweight 2d), so it was 8 hours screen on (brightness 60%). Wifi and 3g on. Things like stay smart etc turned off. No photos or video taken. Few calls, every about 3 mins. No GPS. CloudyPro II with xposed G2 Tweaks (+ GravityBox and XBlast for nav and notification bar settings - have them on N4 also and everything was fine). Custom kernel - newest Dorimanx.
It's strange but I think that G2 now lasts almost the same as mentioned N4 I had before.
I heard that I should flash custom rom on clear, stock 4.4.2 from LG. Sadly I've read that after I flashed old Rayglobe for try (4.2.2). Then I've wiped everything in TWRP and flashed Cloudy. I have win8 so massive problems to flash stock 4.4.2 now. I don't want do everthing from 0, so I'm asking I should be worried about aspect in this paragraph.
So, back to point. Is it normal? I saw that someone have 50 hours on one charge.
Hahaha I have 5h on screen time and I am pretty happy already, never been able to go 2 days without charging. So to me your SOT is amazing!

Hey Texas, I'm not sure how old your battery is. But if your battery is on the fritz it could be losing voltage in your phone will shut down. I think you'll normally get a bad battery warning but I'm not positive. I'm using Alpha Oreo 1.3.1 with MK 2000 version 2.2 kernel. And have not had any random reboot problems. On the contrary. It has been extremely stable and I'm getting extremely good battery life especially with greenify. Normally 24 to 27 hours on a full charge. With anywhere from 3 1/2 to 6 hours of screen time.
