I think I really need to report this to you guys.
I first rooted my phone on the latest JB leak (not official) after I did it said the system was modified in about device, but in download mode it said:
Custom binary downloaded: no
Current binary: Samsung official
System status: official
It would keep this as I flashed custom ROMs except changing System status to custom no matter what I flashed.
Now I am on stock ICS again which I rooted and it shows:
Custom binary download: Yes (1 counts)
Current binary: Samsung official
System status: Custom
What this means is my flash counter after rooting the leak was not being tripped, but after rooting stock ICS it has. Anyone have an idea why it would not get tripped after a JB leak?
Flashing the official binary is not increasing your counter. Is like when you want to flash the phone to remove the root access. In order to remove it, you need to flash. Flashing the stock rom is not counting...

But when I flashed omega it didn't trip, when I flashed SuperNexus it didn't trip, when I initially rooted it didn't trip.
The only time it has increased is when I flashed stock ICS and rooted it.

Flashing in CWM doesnt increase flash counter, but only flashing via odin.

Ahh makes sense, I still don't get how rooting didn't increase it though.

Hi all,
Is it possible too flash a custom recovery via goo manager in a stock root injected I-9500 ?
If yes then wouldn't we be able to flash roms without odin via the recovery and the flash counter would remain at zero ?
I am tempted to try this. But seems too simple for others not to have tried this before me.
Let me know if I am totally missing something and if some one has tried this before.

Not possible to install custom software on and from a not rooted S4 atm. Security has tightened since the S and S2.
I am rooted.

Then you allredy have the counter raised, 1 or 10 will not make a difference for warranty. That`s gone allready bro if they check that and unfortunately triangle Away doesn`t work yet for the I9500.
I have used this for root.

This doesnt effect flash counter.

Hi I recently root my note 3 SM-N900 with CF-AutoRoot, so when I go to Download Mode this is the information that it show me:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
So I can´t see the Knox counter 0x1,
so I think that if it don´t show the information of Knox maybe it is not void the warranty, but I´m not sure.
now here are my questions
1. How to unroot and back to Official Stock Firmware?
2. If I unroot my note 3 can I use again Knox or not?
thanks for the help, and sorry for my bad english.
Have a nice day.
Flash the official firmware via Odin and it will unroot it. But I'm pretty sure if you used cf autoroot... Your knox will be 0x1

Ok I will try.
one more thing how can I update via OTA, when I try it say that it cant update because I have a Custome Firmware.
Man, you have the old Exynos boot loader which hasn't any knox flag, if you're gonna flash something make sure it's not the newest firmware (MJ7) via Odin or you'll update your boot loader which has a bit counter similar to the knox one, just custom Roms I'd recommend you.

Yea you'll be ok with this. It's the old bootloader

Whatever you do ."DO NOT UPDATE " . Continue using the same rom .once you update via OTA , YOU will never be able to downgrade to lower rom and worst a warranty bit will be activated which will make you loose warranty for life.irreversible

Can Flashing Stock Rom [4.3/4.4.2] via Odin able to remove my Custom download count?
& what about device status after that?
& I don't care about Knox counter!
# Device's Current status :
Stock 4.3 (N7100-XXEMI6) ROOTED.
KNOX VOID - 0×1
CUSTOM DOWNLOAD COUNT - 01

Look I did this myself to remove the counters on 4.3 and return all official.
1. Download official 4.3 and put it on sd card.
2. Install Mobile odin.
3. Flash the stock firmware through mobile odin and inject root to it.
4. Now after all boots install triangle away; we did this because triangle away only works with stock recovery.
5. Now after you use triangle away all counters will go away exept knox counter.
6. From odin pc flash the firmware again and wait for it to boot.
7. Now you will find all counters official exept system status custom on bootloader.
8. To get everything stock you will have to a factory reset again from the device.
This procedure takes time, make sure you have enough patience and battery.
This is for the 4.3. Didn't try it on 4.4.2.
Goodluck, report back please.

As the title says I would like to revert back to Official Status, remove root and stay on Knox 0x0
I have 4.3 version, Knox 0x0, and I have reset to factory defaults and I do not have root now.
As knox is 0×0 it means you are not rooted.Just flash official firmware will solve your status.flash it wia odin.

No. False. Knox flag DOES NOT mean you're not rooted if it's 0x0.
The only times this is true is if root using a method that rewrites your recovery, such as CF-Auto-Root.
The only things that trip knox are unsigned recoveries (ANY custom recovery) and custom kernels (ANY custom kernel).

Ohh..tnx for correcting me.!But I think the problem is status of device. As knox is 0×0 there is no problem.knox is not triggered. Flashing a stock firmware changes the status custom to official. Please correct me if I am understanding wrong!

Correct. Flashing a full stock firmware AFTER a factory reset and wipe should return to official status, officially.
