Hi there
Is there anyway to move the Nav bar to the top? I currently have my DPI at 175, running stock. I've tried looking at features and reviews of certain Roms, but nothing showing or telling me what I need to know.
So could anybody tell me if nav bar can be moved to the top of the screen? Preferably using stock? If not, which rom will allow me to do this? Also modding the icons would be awesome. Ie changing battery icon, etc. It says in ROM toolbox lite that I can change it, but it doesn't let me?
Any ideas or tips would be awesome.
Thanx in advance. Sorry for the noobness and for bringing up a post like this if there's one of these already

Actually never mind.
I just read abit more in the forums and found an app GMD gesture to just hide the nav bar instead of trying to move the nav bar to the top.
Either keep topic here for others who might find the idea useful, otherwise just delete
Cheers

You have to reboot after and the nav bar is gone. Awesome with lmt launcher
Sorry I'm drunk but install the app and select disable it won't do anything but reboot and Navy bar gone
Side note anyone flames this thread your a fag let the guy ask a question. Its faster to ask then read 1000 pages. Yes this has been discussed many times but who cares.

I guess this is a question for anyone who my know the answer from owning the first gen and I know its going to require root and likely a custom ROM.
So in landscape has anyone seen an option to have the nav bar on the sides and not located on the bottom? I find it awkward to use the nav buttons in landscape. I guess pie controls would fix this, but I like nav bar better.

Yeah you're right, will need root or custom rom. Does lmt need root? I forget
Hi! I'm running the latest paranoid Android and i was wondering if hiding the navbar on the lockscreen only was possible. I looked all over the internet and couldnt find any information. Could anyone help me please?
I apologize in advance, since I'm not that familiar with PA...
On Carbon I have a thing called "Transparency Settings" wich regulate transparency for navbar and statusbar, with separate settings for lockscreen. You might just have something like it.
edit: Okay if you mean the black bar is showing, even with the buttons, it's a strange behavior with Android hopefully Google will fix it. The only way I know of is to set the phone in expanded mode, sorry.
Thank you for responding! It's OK i can live without this feature...

Hi guys, am I the only one who can't find the transparent status and navigation bars in lock screen.
Or its not yet available for our tablet yet?
If it is, a link to it will be appreciated. I have searched and looked already BTW.

Would it have to do with having our not having the Experience Launcher. I thought I read that the launcher isn't coming stock installed onto the N7.

Hey, sorry I meant a mod. Nexus 4 has a mod for android 4.4 where it also makes status and nav bar transparent in lock screen. Nova launcher and gel I think only makes them transparent in home screen.
There is a thread for the mod for 3g nexus 7, but I could not find one for Wi-Fi model..

Anyone can help? I am now running Harmony 4.4 rom, and that one also doesn't have transparent status and nav bar in lock screen. No option for that in the setting either.
I did a little research and wanted to know if I really have the right info regarding wallpapers and the notification bar.
Please: no need to tell me to root or to use an alternative launcher. I am well-versed in both, but I remain interested in staying stock and using the default laucher.
So, is it the case that:
- The only way to have a transparent notification bar (it looks great) is to use the stock, LG-supplied wallpaper?
- There is no way to add to the stock wallpaper collection?
Thanks in advance.
I have the exact same question as OP
I currently use Xposed and Gravitybox for transparent action bar (nav. bar) and status bar, but only for home screen mode. In lockscreen the bars show wallpaper of homescreen not set lockscreen wallpaper

Thanks ZenWan - but Xposed is only for rooted devices, right?
Although I have plenty of experience with rooting and custom ROMs on previous phones, I really want to keep my G2 completely stock.
Aye, I believe it only works with rooted devices. But fair enough, understand your reason ^_^

There's ZOR over at the Theme's section who makes his own themes. Chose's his own wallpapers and icons and all and still has transparent as stock. I saw in one of a couple pages that he posted a link on to how he made them. that could be another way to achieve that. I myself wanted to keep but my impatience made me root; xposed and now i have that and way more options. are you afraid to void your warranty?
