Hi! I'm running the latest paranoid Android and i was wondering if hiding the navbar on the lockscreen only was possible. I looked all over the internet and couldnt find any information. Could anyone help me please?
I apologize in advance, since I'm not that familiar with PA...
On Carbon I have a thing called "Transparency Settings" wich regulate transparency for navbar and statusbar, with separate settings for lockscreen. You might just have something like it.
edit: Okay if you mean the black bar is showing, even with the buttons, it's a strange behavior with Android hopefully Google will fix it. The only way I know of is to set the phone in expanded mode, sorry.
Thank you for responding! It's OK i can live without this feature...

Can anyone point me to, or if willing, develop an app or widget thats only function when pressed is to hide/unhide the entire notification bar?
I'm on miui, and its launcher. However, hiding the notification bar is not currently an option in the launcher.
I do not want to use ADW or LP on top of MIUI.
I'm thinking something simple like the app HELLOSTATUSBAR.
Any help would be greatly appreciated I have been searching for days trying to figure this out.
Did you have any luck?
Just wondering if you ever found a solution. I am in search of a solution for my preference. I would like to have the notification bar off the screen so I can have a full screen.. if I want to see it I would just touch the top and it would appear and drag down as usual to see notification bar. I do not want to change my launcher as I would rather modify that one feature only.
If anything is currently available or if anyone could enlighten me on how to do this myself I would be very appreciative.
Try adw launcher with which you can associate programs and actions (including hide/show notification bar) with gestures (swipe up/down). An elegant solution if I do say so myself, which I do, often.

Hi there
Is there anyway to move the Nav bar to the top? I currently have my DPI at 175, running stock. I've tried looking at features and reviews of certain Roms, but nothing showing or telling me what I need to know.
So could anybody tell me if nav bar can be moved to the top of the screen? Preferably using stock? If not, which rom will allow me to do this? Also modding the icons would be awesome. Ie changing battery icon, etc. It says in ROM toolbox lite that I can change it, but it doesn't let me?
Any ideas or tips would be awesome.
Thanx in advance. Sorry for the noobness and for bringing up a post like this if there's one of these already

Actually never mind.
I just read abit more in the forums and found an app GMD gesture to just hide the nav bar instead of trying to move the nav bar to the top.
Either keep topic here for others who might find the idea useful, otherwise just delete
Cheers

Since I am not allowed to post in developer forums, I try it here.
I flashed the latest xylon rom (xylon_mako_017_nightlies-23.zip)
I really like that the whole screen is filled with the live wallpaper. Even the background color of nav and status bar are transparent.
But as soon as I went into navbar settings they aren't fully transparent anymore. They are black with a low transparency.
I didn't change their color just the color of the icons. But it changes by itself. And I find no way to get them back to be fully transparent.
Anybody running xylon and knows what the problem is?
Moreover what do I have to do to be allowed to post in developer forums? Only make more then 10 posts?
thanks
Did you check in Xy settings, General UI, Navbar Transparency? He moved that setting from navbar settings to general ui a few days ago.

Yeah, you can change the transparency for the homescreen area but any time you open an app the navbar and status bar go to black.
I was hoping it would stay transparent everywhere, I'm not a big fan of Pie myself and would rather have clear bars.
I just started using this ROM though, so wasn't sure if that was normal or not.

No the fact that when you plug in the device the LED stays green and when the phone hits 14% and under it will constantly flash a red LED

Hi I just wonder if there is anyway to hide some of the toggles from the notification panel like GS3, Note and all other android devices
in GS3, you can just simply drag the toggles you want to hide into "available buttons" area. but i dont see this tab in GS4, which means I will have to show all the toggles always. Please help me if you know there is a way to hide some toggles. thanks a lot!
does anyone know? Please help (
Not unless you're rooted I'm afraid :/ best you can do is out the ones you don't use to the back of the que..

I did a little research and wanted to know if I really have the right info regarding wallpapers and the notification bar.
Please: no need to tell me to root or to use an alternative launcher. I am well-versed in both, but I remain interested in staying stock and using the default laucher.
So, is it the case that:
- The only way to have a transparent notification bar (it looks great) is to use the stock, LG-supplied wallpaper?
- There is no way to add to the stock wallpaper collection?
Thanks in advance.
I have the exact same question as OP
I currently use Xposed and Gravitybox for transparent action bar (nav. bar) and status bar, but only for home screen mode. In lockscreen the bars show wallpaper of homescreen not set lockscreen wallpaper

Thanks ZenWan - but Xposed is only for rooted devices, right?
Although I have plenty of experience with rooting and custom ROMs on previous phones, I really want to keep my G2 completely stock.
Aye, I believe it only works with rooted devices. But fair enough, understand your reason ^_^

There's ZOR over at the Theme's section who makes his own themes. Chose's his own wallpapers and icons and all and still has transparent as stock. I saw in one of a couple pages that he posted a link on to how he made them. that could be another way to achieve that. I myself wanted to keep but my impatience made me root; xposed and now i have that and way more options. are you afraid to void your warranty?
